Good work on Andromeda - Looks great with RASA 8"! I remember you saying you were getting RASA when I saw your previous video. Congratulations! (I do put a hair dryer plugged in outside under a towel, if I ever go outside i will just get rid some of the dew)
I am so jealous. I have a new Rasa 8 that I am in the process of getting set up. I have a ASI533 and the EQ6-R. Very similar equipment, so your photo is very inspiring and where I would like to be. Like you, I plan to use SharpCap for polar align and then perhaps (not sure) switch to NINA for Newbies! Everything for me is a moon shot. EQMOD, camera set up (what the heck plugs into what with my basic Power Box), alignment, everything. I hope you will be doing more videos, as I need to see what other Rasa guys do. Your video very interesting and helpful. Ha, can you please relocate to Texas and show me the ropes? Best wishes!
@@paulwilson8367 I am also in Texas! I am in San Antonio and wondered how your progress has been with the scope. I will probably be getting the same one :-)
One of the things I learned in film school for my video making is the black bars at the top and bottom of the video make it more cinematic, make sure you add them to your clips! I even add small ones to the clips that don't need them on my vlogs and I've gotten a bunch of comments since I started doing that that it makes the quality way higher?
That is a really nice scope and great capture of M31 but I don't think you have to chase it, it's not going anywhere anytime soon until it collides with our Milky Way galaxy lol
Did you take this IN the city?? In Toronto. Or on the outskirts somewhere? I'm getting discouraged by the light pollution, and I don't want to be limited to nebulas with narrowband filters. I would be very impressed if you captured Andromeda from our Bortle 8/9 skies!
Cool video! I’m deciding between the rasa and 8 for galaxies. Hope to see some new vids soon!
15 second subs! Those RASAs are unreal!
Very nice work. That scope is a pretty serious piece of kit.
Im glad you liked it :)

This got marked as spam for some reason. Not sure why, but good advice! I give that a go in the future!
Great image

Haha you're right. And that about 4 Billion years from now. What would you name the merged galaxy? Milkdromeda? :D

Remember to flip the image with the RASA... I forget all the time too!
Yea I got it right when I posted it on Instgram, but failed to flip it in the video haha :P
