Found this after searching for some answers. My dogs (two boxers and a JRT) have recently started to fight. These fights are extremely violent and bloody. I know it is at least in part because we are re-doing the house and everything is out of wack, but I have a vacation planed soon and I'm worried sick about what to do with them. I have PTSD and I know my anxiety and stress is a trigger for them too... but what can I do?! Telling someone with PTSD to calm down is like telling someone with cancer to just get better. You're on point and I know it and I want to work on it.... eager to jump up right now and go on a walk, but the moment I go out in the living room they will try to kill each other. Three bloody fights this morning already and it is 11am. I'm in tears writing this because it hurts me to see them tear at each other like that. And what will my vet think when I come in to have a eye or ear repaired?!
Almost nothing stops our two male dogs if they go at it. They lived safely together for months before their fight and now we have to separate them permanently or they will kill each other. Nothing works including yelling or placing anything between them since they will not let go of each other to put something in between them. The only thing that has ever worked is if they redirect and bite one of us. It separates them just long enough to grab one of them and leave the area. My wife spent an hour in the ER last night with a nasty bite on her finger. They are both small dogs but the damage they inflict can be very serious. If someone forgets to shut a door and they see each other then the fight is on instantly.
I recently added a young stray to our household and now one of my other dogs is starting fights with her. Shooter (my "established" dog) is always the aggressor, and he's by far the most disobedient dog I've ever had. And they only fight when I'm home. Everything you said simply "clicked". The truth hurts, but I certainly needed to hear it. Thank you for the good, solid advice which I will put into action immediately. The first step is training Shooter to obey without question. Lord knows it's long overdue!
I have a male yorkie and a male cockapoo, 7yrs apart. They for the most part get along great, but in the past year my Yorkie would become aggressive and attack the older dog. My oldest would often submit almost immediately as he is the sweetest dog. Now he's tired of it and now fights back. Used to, this spat would last a few days and then quit as suddenly as it started. Now it's lasting for months. I now keep my yorkie in a harnest with a short dangling leash. I also use a water bottle. I have found when he starts growling and in attack mode I can just yank his leash quickly (my other dog never attacks but he will defend if contact is made) he will now often almost stop immediately, if after telling him a couple of times to stop, and I mean stop completely, growling and all, I'll shoot him with a water. this is an immediate stop for him. Most of these fights occur in the bedroom, when he suddenly decides my older dog isn't allowed on the bed. They can eat out of the same food bowl, don't fight over the bones, go in/out of doorways together. ...but when it comes to my room or my bed, every once in awhile it's suddenly an issue, even if they're on it together for hours at the same time, all of a sudden my yorkie gets pissy about it. Weird. Thank goodness it's not too often or over every little thing because I love them both to pieces.
Dear Ty The Dog Guy, I have a similar problem, but with two dogs both are from the same liter and we bought them at the same time. I am trying to train both of these dogs to be our service dogs because my mother and i are both disabled and need a service dog. Although we cant get them to stop fighting each other, like u said there is an aggressor (Nikita / Dog 1) and an agressie (Mogli / Dog 2). Most of the time Dog 1 is always trying to fight Dog 2, we have ordered another cage (to put them in over night because they arent potty trained yet) and we are going to put them in separate rooms but they seem to have a nervous break down without each other in sight. Please help. ~Zeplynn~

I have same problem with my male intact teacup chihuahua 3 lbs but he growls and attacks first our male Great Dane who has passed over the rainbow bridge but now have a intact male 20month Mastweiler and since Mastweiler still has puppy brain he wants to play but gets very excited. Don't know what will happen when male Mastweiler is mature because he will top off at about 160 lbs. Tried everything to stop chihuahua I think I am going to have to go to a shock color for small dogs.
I'm having this problem with my female dogs. They tend to be fine on their own but usually when my mother (their main owner) comes around they start to fight with each other. It's gotten to the point that the 2 more aggressive dogs have to be kept in 2 different rooms so they don't end up fighting. They end up getting all worked up because they are not with the family and when we have to switch places they end up attacking each other. My mother is trying to breed both of them at the same time so I'm sure that isn't going to help things much either.
I have the same problem but worse I have three female dogs. dog 1 does nothing, dog 2 the same as dog 1 but dog three fight more than once a month and I want don't want to come home with a died dog.i don't what want to put dog three in the pound.😭😭😭😢

So I have this pomchi dog as seen in my pic and he's always been like alone with no other dogs living with him. And it was fine but he barked aloot from people leaving the house entering the house etc. But when my grandparents stayed at my house for a visit, they had brought a dog with them. That dog also lived alone. But right away it was a mess. They both just wanted to kill each other. After a while I separated them and tried to introduce them with a calmer state. They seemed to get along and that was great. But the new dog has developed this rage towards my dog. he starts these random fights and my dog doesnt want to fight back he just runs and screams. I really want them to get better. I tried to stop one of their fights and got attacked on the arm. They are separated right now but I need help

i have a mother &daughter (irish wheaten terrier) that i breed. They have had a few vicious fights( the daughter fights back and hold her own) . We just lost an older dog(male) just before this happened. Before this, all three would live and get along together. What is your opinion? Can they ever go back to normal?
skip to 5:00 for the tips

Males always seem to fight because of territorial issues. One always is fighting to be alpha male. I have this issue for 6 monthhs and still do

Why does this guy not respond/reply to comments/questions on here?
Because I have hundreds of videos and thousands of comments/questions. I can't get to all of them, unfortunately.
