I can't imagine how hard it is to show everyone osu!'s full potential. Not everyone will understand that the game is bigger than just clicking circles. Now more then ever there is an entire community behind it. Either way props to Ed for explain how osu! works.
I love the fact that the game itself lets you decide what to do and improve, there no “quests” or path to follow, you have to figure and deal with your own weaknesses, being aware that you are constantly improving

that and i imagine he’s having to use the default drivers or the wacom ones instead of his usual opentablet

I think it's safe to say btmc is basically the face of osu to the community outside of osu, and he does a really good job at representing the game. While he isn't the best or most knowledgeable player, there are little people with his charisma and charm and that goes a long way.
Well he is top 100 so I'd say he actually is one of the best as well

Fun fact: if you're streaming on a map at 210bpm, you're ACTUALLY streaming at 840bpm, this is a common misconception, however it is easier to refer to the maps bpm

it depends on what type of note you’re referring to in the stream, typically when talking about streams we are talking about sixteenth notes, which is 1/4 of a beat in common time which is what most mappers use so really while pressing ur keys 840 times a minute ur streaming 210 bpm

Massive props to Ed for doing this. Explaining osu to that one friend you want to get addicted to osu is hard enough. But, explaining osu to an entire crowd of people who have never heard of it is an insane challenge, and he fucking did it, even playing amazingly Infront of them.
This was incredible to watch. Another video and reason to love Ed's content even more!
He was missing everything, but still pogging AF and he kept on trying, now that's the BTMC I love to see :")
dude performing in person is hella different. trust me I've done it a hella of a lot of times. just seeing the actual audience is a along scarier than numbers on a screen.

BTMC: The basic gist of how the game operates, you see circles, the slider, the spinner. Those are the 3 main objects of the game and thats all there is to it.

I feel like not using his own set up comboed by the fact his doing it infront of alot of people must have been nerve wrecking. I was in a local osu meetup and the keyboards they provided were mx reds, I can't stream without my blues so I suffered in getting good acc. I brought my own tablet but forgot my own dimensions. So I couldn't perform to my standards as well.

210bpm streams are really 840bpm in reality. 210 bpm is only the bpm of the quarter notes, 840bpm is the speed of the sixteenth notes, and 420bpm is the speed of the jumps which are 8th notes. Same goes for any other map that is 4/4 time.
I never really saw it but btmc does press spacebar pretty often mid the worm

thats why some players (and in other games too) will take the keycaps off, so they wont press them by accident. ADOFAI players do that a lot since the game recognizes any input
