I found goldie on the first island I've ever been to and then I went on my first villager hunt and I found beau on the second island and left him and I was so mad but on the third island I saw him again
earlier today me and my sister were villager hunting and she found marshal and right after that i got raymond
I got Audie first try Marshal 3 and Marina 10th
I found judy on the second island
I found molly on my 4th ticket o-o

This is exactly how I felt when I found Goldie! She’s my number one villager and I moved out Gayle, and I was wondering if it was a mistake AND THEN I FOUND GOLDIE! it’s sad, but it may have been the best day of my life.
OMG I legit almost started crying when you got Alice on one of your hunts lmao she's my 10th villager and it's a long story on why I have her, but I'm so attached to her now. I'd definitely pick her again for my next island I create 😍
I feel you. I did a villager hunt but only had 10 tickets und got Maples on the second. I thought I had so much luck maybe I‘ll get Molly because she’s also my number one dreamy. Didn‘t get Molly, left Maples behind and ended up with a villager I don‘t want. Biggest regret of my life I actually love Maples too and tested my luck too much :(

Just so you know, no villagers are rarer than others. When you go to an island, it will randomly generate a species, then randomly generate a villager from that species.
