I quit benzos in 2018. I did other substances. The worst part is the alcohol and the other substances were out of me quickly, but my brain is still a little fried after the benzos, but I am the junkie so people blame other the substances. The withdrawl were Hellish too.

Thank you 🙏🏼 I feel from 3 years after a rapid taper, there is a direct relation between heighten symathic nervous system activity (amygdala maybe ) & impaired cognitive function for me the worse the terror feeling the more impaired my cognitive function seems to be. There was no knowledge in Australia from Doctors suggesting a long term taper to minimise these horrid symptoms. :(

I’m very scared , want to get off of Ativan because has bad side effects, causes inflammation, makes me week and much more. I still have insomnia and anxiety . Need help badly , also I lost lots of weight

    Hi Nicole,
I know it can be very difficult to quantify, but how much would you say you've recovered in the 11 years you've been off meds? Did you notice improvements each year? Do you continue to notice improvements or did you eventually plateau?
I'm 3.5 years off all meds after a disastrous cold switch from Paxil (as advised by my doctor), and unfortunately I haven't experienced much improvement. I still have severe cognitive impairment, dizziness, vision problems, insomnia, fatigue/drowsiness, headaches and body pain. It feels like permanent damage to my brain and nervous system.
Thank you for making these videos, and for all you do within the iatrogenic injury community.

December 29th I finished two years of me being off antidepressants which I cut off cold turkey, and I still suffer from most of the stuff you've mentioned. It pains me to see that there are no improvements whatsoever, and how there is nothing that can put us back on track. I can't tell you how many times I have contemplated going back on the meds again if they would offer me any sort of relief, but I am scared that they might not do anything and then I will have to come off of them again. I take supplements, they don't help much. 😔

I am not interested in the clinical ethics of patient administration of Benzodiazepines to avoid dependence. The fact is, I don't believe what the pharmaceutical companies have labeled on the drug package , in orther words i don't trust the clinical trials of this medications before approval. This drug should be removed from the market totally.
why will the be something design to remove pain but at the same time cause dependence with deadly withdrawal effects?
the drug should not even be given to patients. Because administering the drug to target patience in the first place will cause dependence.Even you as a practitioner if you have anxiety or what so ever mental health issues and you take these drug as prescribe , then it works and then get finished and doesn't solve your problem and at thesame time leaves you with more trouble that only the drug or orther drug of same kind can resolve will you just stop it ? The drug is a way of getting money from patients pocket illegelly and also causing destruction to a nation. infact any nation that want to be save should not import or allow these drugs into it country.
