I remember watch this series when I was like 7-8 years old, my mom bought the pirated DVD, thinking that this would be just like another ultraman series for kid, turns out to be my first time feeling dark, sad etc. feeling that I never felt before. Now as an adult, this series become one of the best ultraman series for me.
nexus is the only ultra where his host is actually do have trouble in in their life. maki a retired airforce pilot...he retired because of his family and his son is sick,have a disease related to blood...blood cancer if i remember it correctly...soo he want to spent more time. when the last battle happen at the end he supposed to die...the light revive him soo he can finally be together with his family. maki represented as 2ND CHANCE. himeya thought the light came to him as punishment,a punishment for being selfish resulted the dead of serra,soohe kept fighting and fighting until his body broken at the end when serra told him what the light is...he found the answer within the light. himeya represented as FORGIVENESS. ren....a teenager...who born in test tube..raise in some sort of lab. have genetic disease where he only have short life span. when the light came to him he thought well whatever it is before i die,i play your game,with that kind of attitude that why his fighting skill is more reckless and rush....at the end he found a purposed within the light to fight for everyone smile. ren represented as PURPOSED OF LIFE. for komon well easy to said...the light dont give him any answer at all because he already have the answer,becaus of him of what he doing,what he experienced throughout the series,interaction with himeya and ren,through him the light finally return to his real form. komon represented as BOND that why before he transformed he said "the bond,nexus". he is the catalyst.

Apart from having a sick ass design and amazing conclusion, Nexus was the first ultraman series with a truly darker story which was an awesome breath of fresh air.
For those who dont know, if not because of bad batings, Nexus supposedly to have one more form which is Orange Junis. And it will also involved time travel arc which will also tell the origin of Ultraman Nexus. That is why during Ren's arc, the series kinda rush because of ratings but yea still enjoyable series for me despite only have 37 episodes. #Nexusteamforever
Nexus has big fanbase around the globe, what shame That tsuburaya didnt promote him well, they only stuck with domestic ratings, unlike their western counterpart ( south Korea ) always make chance for their content reach global market as big as possible

unfortunately most of ultraman nexus' episodes were essentially removed due to its more realistic content as the every main characters which inherits nexus' power eventually died. Therefore the audiences' response to this ultraman series were nearly all negative... Now that we look back, most ultraman viewers all grew up... and that the newborn ultramans are all too cliche... we just dont get the same feeling from our childhood anymore... sweet nostalgia btw... nexus is probably the most realistic one throughout the ultraman universe. whatever it is... rest in peace Eiji Tsuburaya... thank you for being us one of the deepest memory of our childhood
It was too dark and aired at the wrong time causing it to be a failed show and why it was cut 13 EP and despised by Japan if only it weren't air at the Saturday morning kids bit it may have done better and we may have even gotten the series split in two one for teens and older and the other kids but we may never know

This ultraman series has a deep meaning to audiences. To protect the human race, the ultraman humans sacrifice their life, and the first and second human of ultraman die. But, the passion and fighting need to pass on to the future generation(the third human ultraman). Then, the third learn from first and second, and gains the ultimate ultraman form. Very nice series.

The only Ultraman series that I actually finish watching and adore. This story is by far my favorite Ultraman. He is my top 5 and I wish they make another ultraman like this.

Always had this idea floating on my head ever since Tsuburaya decided to do an anime remake of SSSS.GRIDMAN and DYNAZENON: *"Given its more mature setting, what would happen if we revive Ultraman Nexus' story as an Anime?"* I mean, setting aside how pretentious that idea is, think about it for a second: *1. With an anime, we can pretty much revive every character in series' story in a way Live-Action just can't achieve.* *2. An anime setting enables us to recreate if not improve the fighting scenes (especially Nexus' well-known CGI Aerial Battles).* *3. An anime grants Nexus all the place it needs to flesh out a proper mature story.* I first thought that this idea wouldn't be possible, but given how much action can be packed into anime in the new decade, as we all know, this revival could work. And even if they can't bring back the original characters, why not remake a whole new cast and revive the original 50 episode planned series? And if you think it isn't possible, here's an example for ya: *Ultraman Ribut.* The Ultra who has the honor of canonically being the first Ultra to be completely represented in full CGI. And plus, the guy wasn't even supposed to be an actual addition to Ultraman roster, and yet look at him now. So get on with it, Tsuburaya. This Ultra needs his proper show and tell.
I mean, Kamenrider W got his anime this year, and it's around 10 years old. IMO they need to divide the audience to the newer children and the ones that grew up with it. Ngl, Orb was the reason I got back to Ultraman in the first place

The only Ultraman series that I actually finish watching and adore. This story is by far my favorite Ultraman. He is my top 5 and I wish they make another ultraman like this.

In Japan, they believed when god dies (Ultraman Nexus/Noa is a god of Ultraman. You can watch Ultraman Zero the second movie), they can reincarnate into a new one (God child). And Nexus is the greatest and the most underatted Ultraman ever 😂😂.

Always had this idea floating on my head ever since Tsuburaya decided to do an anime remake of SSSS.GRIDMAN and DYNAZENON:
*"Given its more mature setting, what would happen if we revive Ultraman Nexus' story as an Anime?"*
I mean, setting aside how pretentious that idea is, think about it for a second:
*1. With an anime, we can pretty much revive every character in series' story in a way Live-Action just can't achieve.*
*2. An anime setting enables us to recreate if not improve the fighting scenes (especially Nexus' well-known CGI Aerial Battles).*
*3. An anime grants Nexus all the place it needs to flesh out a proper mature story.*
I first thought that this idea wouldn't be possible, but given how much action can be packed into anime in the new decade, as we all know, this revival could work. And even if they can't bring back the original characters, why not remake a whole new cast and revive the original 50 episode planned series?
And if you think it isn't possible, here's an example for ya:
*Ultraman Ribut.*
The Ultra who has the honor of canonically being the first Ultra to be completely represented in full CGI. And plus, the guy wasn't even supposed to be an actual addition to Ultraman roster, and yet look at him now.
So get on with it, Tsuburaya. This Ultra needs his proper show and tell.

Yeah same here, really hoping that the production team will have an idea like this again, its okay if it is not darker, just give a standard dark tone and drama(like the one in himeya life) and it should be good.
