4:03 you had it. Pass turn and discard down to 7 then Tainted Indulgence whichever one you didn’t discard. Missing land drop I think is fine if it sets up the win

@@kristeenlivesay2664 You'd need 8 mana. 4 for abuelos, 4 for metamorph. Unless you think the 1/1 will live a turn.
@@spicymato You wouldn't need it to live, he's actively hoping to get it into the graveyard
@@ther3aper561 The 1/1 needs to live a turn however, because it needs to be alive for Hulking Metamorph to copy, the Hulk ending up in the yard is whatever, but if Rakdos animated by Abuelos dies, then you need another Abuelo before the combo can even start

I played against this deck the other day and was very confused about what was happening
Don't remember if he ever says it out loud in the video but you trigger *both* Rakdos Joins Up when you legend rule away the Hulk copy as they both see him die. A single instance of this combo is 18 damage.
Could put Lively Dirge in the list as a way to force the Hulk into the yard for 3 mana.

14:13 I don't follow the "making sure I have way to get this all to resolve" comment.
Isn't hulking metamorph copy ability a may? So you can end the loop by just not copying the joins-up with it. And you already have BM excessive overkill triggers stacked. So it's literally either kill you in response to declining to stack more triggers to lose.
he couls also simply stack the trigger in the right order, dealing damagae before returning the Metamorph again.
But that requires, urgs, clicking...
Or just choose to keep the copy instead of the original.
Lively Dirge is a way for the deck to entomb something. Might be useful in this deck
Graveyard hate has gotten good enough that anything that folds to it can't be the new Spliter Twin, sorry.

A bunch of good green and red instants and instant speed synergies have been added in Thunder Junction, I think it'd be funny to try to make a Gruul Draw-Go deck work.
I would love to see the card "Hell to Pay" as a deco to build around!
Crim, do the jund version where you fling Yargle and Multani.
Tempest hart > tainted pact.... always draw two discard two for 1U so easier casting cost

Its so easily interrupted and telegraphed though. I've seen it win through one piece of interaction by getting out a 9/9 archeologist that gets back another way to dig for a 2nd attempt at the combo, but boy does it lose hard to people with 2+ pieces of interaction or any dedicated graveyard hate

Something that reanimates and triggers off legendary creatures dying, which they do whenever they legend rule.

Really want to do this in an Abzan or mardu Shell, for some reason.
You could do that in a Mostly MonoBlack version (with R and W Splash for potential Mardu)

Have had the misfortune to play against this several times (6 or 7?) already. Only won once and only because I was able to bounce their Rakdos, had blockers for the Metamorph and flyers to kill them before they could anything else. Almost won a second time but they had a second Abuelo in hand and just did the combo the next turn and killed me...

Crim wanting to mill metamorph instead of playing it and killing it himself was really infuriating most of the video. But fun combo regardless
Against the Nissa deck he could've played it t4, used Get Lost or swung into Nissa t5, and won t6

I've been having fun Wrecking this combo with the jankiest card ever, Return the Favor lets me copy their reanimate spell and switch it's target to some other useless junk in their yard.
When I see Rakdos combo coming I love getting a free reanimate to the Arcane Bombardment I pitch early.

Card games are strange sometimes. In any other type of game this would be considered an exploit/oversight that needs patched out asap.
Why? Because it works? Things only get banned when it's all everyone is playing. The supposed exploit is the least of the worries.
@@rotten2209 I just mean in a random fps or moba game the devs will fix these kind of things within like a week even if it's not dominating the meta.

Doing BM stacking unnecessary triggers is not fun. It's sad and unsportsmanlike
That would be true if those triggers were not representing lethal damage. With lethal damage on the stack, there is no slim chance of winning holding the opponent in the game.
You can just scoop though? I'm pretty sure theres no chance of winning after all the damage triggers are on the stack anyways.

Yes because what we want in our community is more boring and snoring. This is literally Crim's whole niche at this point
@@fiercedeitylink2019 It's not a big deal but it's not optimal to go beyond 2-3 lol. A single instance of the loop is 18 damage (both Joins Up see the Hulk copy die). A second is 36. In Standard that's almost always game and you'll know if you're playing against a deck that can survive 36 to the dome at once and can just add another instance for 54 damage. I'm struggling to see a situation where you'd ever need more than 3 instances of the loop.
