His change of faith is genuine. He didn't have to repent or apologize for his actions just like how many warlords in Liberia haven't apologized and have taken up positions in the liberian government. He could have just gone by without repenting since there still isn't a war crimes court. If he was an opportunist, then he would have taken up arms against Charles Taylor in the second liberian civil war since his side lost the first liberian civil war.
Some of what he claims he did might never have happened. The goal was and is to make Master Sargent Doe look evil which was the basis of the US support for these various terrorist groups.

I also had a C-section and when you do you’re always in the two rooms closest to the nurses station. So as the week wore on we all expected to see her at some point, walking to the nursery etc. since they want you to walk after surgery. We never did! Makes you wonder if that’s the record right there?! Poor thing! My baby weighed 8.9 and that was big enough for me! 🙄
