The only good thing to happen was Boban completely humiliating the management and the coach on live television. If you saw how Fonseca and Ibrahimovic reacted to what Boban said to them, then you can see the problem firsthand. These are people in our management who are arrogant and self-righteous thinking they can reinvent football and they can do no wrong. With people like this who think extremely highly of themselves and have no integrity or respect whatsoever calling the shots, we are doomed.

As a Liverpool fan, I have a soft spot for AC Milan as i remember the great teams of the late 1980s early 90s. I think the problem blighting Italian football run deep. Financially they are no longer the powerhouse as it was 30/40 years ago
They don't have the money but they still have the tradition of being excellent footballers and with good academy's can still produce world class teams....it's just greedy stupid clubs and leagues.....

Liverpool fan but always had a soft spot for Milan. Think you described the issue, too many of the players just didnt care or went into the game feeling like they had already lost. I'd rather see a bunch of young Italian players give their heart for the jersey over a bunch of Chelsea rejects and passive players...Coach looked as lost as the players aswell.

Liverpool fan here: Pulisic, Reijnders and Pavlović were, in my eyes, the bright spots in this pretty disappointing Milan side.
Maignan did really really well for someone who was limping and lying down for half the match. That says something.
Happy with the win for my team, but I hope Milan can recover.
The player are not ready to play for the club
As a Liverpool fan I would be questioning the set piece marking or just the set up in general. The ease in which we scored 2 goals was insane, especially against an Italian team

I’m not going to be pessimistic but realistic. From the first beginning it was obvious that Fonseca is not a type of coach who is a head above than Pioli. If we sack Pioli it should be someone better than him not the same level coach. Moreover the atmosphere in squad is terrible. No fire in the eyes of players. They just doing their job like employers but not fighting for Milan as part of the history. Fonseca has no character to take control all over this mess and put into places every one. We lost our pride Maldini who did it recently. We had losses, falls and downs during his time but we were brave and not scared. We support Milan, We love Milan forever. But seeing your club suffers and gets humiliated it pains. FORZA MILAN ❤🖤

I still think Pavlovic can win good duels and tackles but his passing and distribution is awful! Reijnders is better further forward but had no space… there’s no passion or drive to perform from the players. They all look bored bar Pulisic
It is sad that nobody expected for Ac Milan to win this game. I was hoping a draw. But now we see that there is no tactics. Tomori and Calabria on starting when they were sided on the last match. Maignan playing injured and then a 19 years old kid with no experience on serie A, goalkeeping against Liverpool on Champions. Also, the attitude from the players. You can lose but you cannot lose without fighting.
I know that it's a different culture in Italy and there was that great shot and save on 93 mins but I have to admit it was strange in the last 5 minutes watching Milan just passing the ball about at the back waiting for the final whistle...v little drive shown by AC

The game was quite close but Milan defended very poorly for those two headed goals.
I was baffled that untill minute 70, we only had 2 shots 😢. The players looked lost. I think the main problem were mid fielders they were disabled. Fofana was incredibly terrible defensively and couldn't contribute the ball either so dossapointed in him. Untill minute 80 that Liverpool slowed the tempo and pressing we could not get past their mid fielders to create chances.😢
Liverpool fan. AC is my favourite team in Europe. They had a off day. The score could have been 5 - 1.RM turned us over the same way at Anfield. AC is still a great team. It's just an bad day that's all.
Loftus cheek, Calabria, Fofana, and that centerbacks are really awful. That guy Royal is disgusting to watch. Milan will be lucky to make it out the group stages with these players and Fonseca will be blamed for it and sacked unfortunately. He's been given a group of really low-level players. He can't perform miracles
You're right it's a combination of management and coach not knowing what to do with these players. We had kalulu who could play RB and is way better than calabria and emerson Royal, but we sold him. We had Adli who can be a playmaker but we sold him. The coach doesn't know how to defend if you look at how many gaols roma conceded under his coach. We have megnian, theo, leao, rejinders, and pulisic, and I still believe tomori can play well under a good coach, and pavlovic has the potential.

To be fair, our defensive phase has been terrible for years. Our psychological fragility has been terrible for years under Pioli. Is a short preseason without the veterans and 4 games reeeeeeeeally enough for Fonseca to fix our psychological and defensive problems, objectively speaking?

As a Liverpool fan I was surprised why Milan didn’t use their left wing more . Trent is amazing for us but he does have his problems defending world class wingers . And leao and Hernandez on his wing is a huge opportunity but they never capitalised on it .

The rot in this club starts at the top. Cardinale and Redbird care more about profits than wins. And that mentality that winning doesn't matter, seeps down throughout the club. You can see it in the players. They don't care. They know they are not there to win silverware. They are there simply because they were the cheapest option for our penny pinching owners. Alex, please cheer up, we lost deservedly to a Nottingham Forest side on Saturday but bounced back. Football is like that, you win you lose. After 68 years as a fan of Liverpool, I have learned not to get too high (after winning) nor too low (after losing). It matters, yes, winning is the best feeling, but accept defeat as part of being a fan. You obviously love your club (as I do Liverpool), but you have to support your team especially when they have a bad game, a poor start or a manager who is struggling. It is up to you Milan fans to raise the support, do not rely on the team to make you happy first, you must raise the team’s morale, otherwise everything just looks bad. I say keep fighting, and the very best for the rest of the season.

Although usually I would not get THIS upset in general, but this is a situation which is dragging on since the past year so many supporters are just fed up and reached a limit.
Obviously when the match is over I got a life so I don't let football affect stuff outside of it. But even venting a bit here is a great stress relief. I just hope to enjoy a win/good performance time to time 😂

Milan didn't exactly get humiliated. It was not an easy win, Liverpool had to battle hard. In fact the match against Man Utd was easier in comparison.
LFC supporter here, I wasn't paying too much attention to Milan at the start but good point. You should have played like it was a cup final, in England any team can beat any other on their day although it's unlikely for smaller clubs to beat the bigger ones but it can happen, Milan could have easily had a real battle, I mean it's winner takes all....the EPL is a bit insane though compared to other leagues but then look at PSG and Real Madrid.....YNWA!

Liverpool fan, when it went to 1-0 I thought we might be in for a hammering but Milan seemed like they panicked and just let us dominate the game after that. I thought Leao was dreadful if I’m honest and Gakpo caused Pavlovic problems all game. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season.

That Milan 11 is the most talented 11 there has been in a while. Pavlovic is not a great cantre half in a .Maybe better in a 3 but I'd play him right back. I know Calabria is the lone Italian lol but he has been so poor.

Morata................. came to Chelsea. Lots of hype. He could not cope who strong centre backs. He would fall over all the time, claiming he was fouled. The refs realised what he was doing pretty quickly. Chelsea shipped him out not long after. To be fair to him, Chelsea did not play to his strengths but that was never a penalty. Great video by the way, just followed you, hope your season gets better. It can only get better!
I don't get why AC Milan don't get players like Ricci or Ederson instead of buying gambles. As a Liverpool fan Maignan's injury did help Liverpool but it was too easy to get past your midfield.

I don't say it to be nasty as a Liverpool fan but when the draw was made a lot of us were happy as even though we'd got the hardest 8 fixtures Real and Leverkusen were at home and we knew we could get something in the San Siro.
Every time I watch Milan it makes me feel like I can be a better option at right back. Gabbia needs to start, Abraham needs to start, Leo needs to be sub more often I’m just tired of his work rate man.

This is not a critisism of Italian players or Italy but the EPL has some of the richest teams who play some of the highest wages and still, Italian players do not go and play there. And I find that strange. Ok the culture and weather are different but that is the same from one country to another. I think that there are a ot of Italian players who know that they can earn a very living, turning up each week and collecting the cheque. And lack of performance is not dealt with in the same way that it used to be. Are Italian players hungry at club level?
The top English teams would not have bought Timori, Morata or Loftus-Cheek, maybe Abraham, possibly. I think you also had Bakayoko on your books at some point. It's like all the players who fail at Chelsea are sold to ACM. You are a great club. An elite club. You deserve better.

This video is 100000% my exact feelings. After fonseca was throwing the players under the bus in his postgame interviews, i’m just done with him. Like yeah we watched the game we know the players could give more but maybe take some responsibility and blame your own terrible tactics.
Why didn’t he sub at the 60th minute? Why did he wait until it was 3-1? The next goal was OBVIOUSLY coming!!! Do something about it. We were only down 2-1 and abraham is sitting on the bench when he is willing to press with real pace on the front line. Fonseca just has to go. This season is just gonna be a disaster if he stays. We will lose theo and leao next summer for sure without a different manager. We will struggle to qualify for champions league next year as well. Gotta be honest i’m losing all hope for this season.

The English commentary said that Maignan is one of the world's best goalkeepers. I haven't seen him much before. He looed very poor, maybe he was injured but then you shouldn't play him. But the biggest problem is the Milan have a load of players from Chelsea...... they are not good players, they really aren't. They aren't good enough to pull on your shirt.
I think he's the French number 1 who is always going to get hyped / benefit from a very strong defence in front of him (hence the commentator's description). To concede an uncontested header isn't great but to do it twice! The fact he's only at a relatively weak AC Milan instead of a current CL favourite says it all really.
