My hair is the same way the front section of my hair is a very loose curl and I kept cutting it thinking it was some kinda damage but it grew back the same way

    • @LatoyaBB
      @LatoyaBB 5 років тому +7

I've cut my top/front section twice and I finally came to my senses and said "forget it, it's gonna grow back the same way".

Mine too, i hate that some naturalist are always attacking someone about damage hair, leave people alone, some people dont like chopping all their hair off let alone lots of times its not even heat damage.

    • @Abundantlylocd

Latoya B.B. lol unfortunately it took me until about the third time to realize that it was just my natural loose curl😂🤦🏽‍♀️

Literally, mine does the same. Too hard of a hold makes it straight just like you said. And I’ve cut pieces off thinking it was damaged. That’s just what it do!

Wow finally a you tuber natural that is honest about having multiple textures . I also have almost straight hair in the front and tons of curls in the back. A coworker accused me of having a relaxer because if I bun my hair is straight at the roots. I thought I had heat damage but after many cuts and no heat for a year . I finally realized it's just my texture.

deardom0 Girl don’t let that stop you! Keep trying different techniques and products. You could even just twist that part up and do a wash and go on the rest of your hair. Don’t give up.😊😘

i know i'm late but try watching wavy hair bloggers and 3a girls to get tips to style the front of your hair. prettywitty wears her hair naturally even though the front is wavy and the back is 3c/4a. you might need to style it differently and use different products. i'm sure your hair is beautiful :)

My hair and the front sides are VERY LOOSE AS A GOOSE… not heat damage just different curl patterns just like throughout my hair I have different patterns. All of which I slowly learned to accept and learn how to manage because it’s a part of me…and I LOVE IT NOW. We have to just learn how to take care and manage all personalities of our hair lol. YOUR HAIR… 💕💕JUST LIKE YOU IS BEAUTIFUL THANK YOU FOT THIS VIDEO💕💕

Yes! I literally have ringlets all over my head EXCEPT for in my bang area. I agree using a lighter product does help with volume and helps me to blend the textures as best I can. Great vid!

Y’all ive been forcing youtubers to have the same texture as me like maybe I could do what she does because all of her hair looks like mine. But when I tell you finally I have never seen another person with hair like mine I’m so excited to watch all her vids!!!

U got me in tears 😭 I totally understand the struggle. My hair is the same way!!!
Please do more videos about this and how to do a wash n go.
    Ur hair looked amazing
I never did wash n go til recently becuz of this.
I have an issue where my hair is very curly in the back straight in the front and mid section is just frizzy and barely curls. Finally learning how to finger coil the front to hide the straight and blend with curly hair. I have an issue where when I do wash n Gos my hair looks uneven becuz some parts curl other parts don’t.
Pls pls post more videos my hair is very similar to urs and need tips.
Yes we need a support group 🙌🏾❤️

My hair is the same. It’s looser in the front. I went to a hair salon once and asked her what I could do about my heat damage, she told me that I didn’t have any and that it was my natural hair texture.
Funny thing is that now I really do have heat damage and I can really see the difference between my old straight texture and my now heat damaged hair.
The one thing that I’ve learned about my straight texture in the front, is that I can not apply as much heat on it as I do to the rest off my hair.

Wow. This whole video spoke to me. This was the reason I had an unfortunate set of wavy bangs in college because I was like ok lemme take off three inches, that will fix it. (Even though like you, I’ve never had a perm and knew it was always like that!).....grew right on back wavy. People REALLY don’t understand the struggle. My hair loves two strand twists so I always have to end up putting those tiny yellow perm rods in this one section of the front of my hair. I see you sis! xoxo

  • @hotzcece229

I definitely understand about the front of the hair seeming straight. When I first went natural I thought it was damaged as my hair started to grow out and I use to cut the front thinking I did something wrong. Now that I know my hair better I do use a denman brush or finger coil the front to get it that curl

  •  5 років тому

Love love love this video! The middle of my hair does not cooperate whatsoever and I cut it so many times, it grows back the same! It’s definitely a bit frustrating but I make it work. People love to run their mouth about things they don’t know about 😫

  • @BeesKnees826

I completely understand what you're talking about. I have a strip of almost straight hair across my nape. I thought it was 'perm damage' when I first big chopped, but the texture never changed. That's 8 years ago. lol

Your hair is beautiful! Even though I don’t have the same texture, I just subscribed. I watched Faye in the City’s video on your products and I’m interested in trying them out. I had an easy 4a pattern and then menopause hit and it changed. I’m not sure what the heck it is now but I’m having to relearn it and find new things to whip it into submission. 😂

This is my hair to a tee!! I have a front patch and I've did the big chop several times thinking it was heat damage when it's not. In order to wear a wash n go, I shingle my tighter curled hair and finger curl the straighter pieces. I've just cut my hair and I cut the straight patch shorter because it still looks long with a cut. LOL. It's a challenge, but what can you do except work with it.

my hair is the same way. i big chopped almost two years ago and it grows looser, and cut it thinking it was damaged and it grows the same way. the middle, nape and front of my hair is loose wavy and goes straight if weighed down. an behind my ears its a spiral curls and bouncy. i have to use different products for each section and scrunch extra to make a decent wash and go.

Thank you thank you thank you! I’ve been thinking I had heat damage for the last 2 year in that same exact spot! I cut it and it’s still growing back that same exact way! I know it isn’t heat damage bc i haven’t had heat in my hair since December of 2017 and before that it had been a year. So the heat is very minimal. I started thinking that it was coming from me always wearing a bun or low pony the tension from it all but it could possibly be that, that’s my texture. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I had really short hair while being natural but that I started straightening my hair every three to four weeks and know it’s down past my shoulders in just a few months. I don’t have any heat damage and it’s thicker than ever. But I have some highlights on my ends that I want to get rid of then grow my hair back fast but I can’t find a video or channel what focuses on growing your hair while applying heat. so if anyone has any suggestions...

I felt like you didn’t explain this right. First off, if you have damage in your hair, a person can give you suggestions of how you cut it and it wouldn’t be bullying. Second off, I know you care about your pride and all, but if they really do have damage in their hair, then a person can give them suggestions. They were wrong but it isn’t bullying. They were trying to help you out. Also if you don’t cut ALLL the damage, then the other damage will make your new hair damaged. So I understand it makes you uncomfortable but you can’t just lie to yourself. If it’s damaged it’s damaged. Stop making excuses. And what I’m saying isn’t mean, it’s just the truth. And if you can’t handle it, then just do you 😭.
