I think he’s misunderstanding. Scripture in the quotation of it is with the understanding that God did it for them he can do it for you, so even though that statement was directed at them, we can look back at that story and see that even through all of the turmoil and the things that they had to go through. Even though they had to accept what the reality was, God’s plans with them was not to harm them. But it was always always the prosper them, to restore and set things in order. That is always God’s intention . It is never God, willing to remain in turmoil. Through all of the learning and things you have to go through to grow, in the end, when is all said and done, it is for your good. The Bible says all things work together for the good for those who love him and walk according to his purpose. So yes, we can apply those stories that we have read to ourselves because God is an unchanging God, and what he did before he’ll do again. I just hope people don’t get discouraged from listening to this
I think the issue lies not in that people quote it to show that since God did it for them He can do it for us, but that since He did it for them He *has* to do it for us. They claim it as a promise and not a testament to something God can do. We can still take it as a general verse showing God's character and desire for His people; however, it's important to make sure we realize the ultimate revelation of this prosperity has already happened in Jesus. Temporal, earthly prosperity that many people think of when they quote it is not really something we can take from it as a promise.
Bold, edifying, and rightly divided (2 Timothy 2:15). I enjoyed this sermon.
Plans TO PROSPER YOU, to GIVE you a future and a ‘hope’ - an ASSURANCE.
Amen! I’ve heard this
message before but it so encouraging to be reminded again. Thanks so very much. Sis Rosa
Teach me - how God who loves ME, doesn't have a SPECIFIC plan for me? Waiting for your answer.

So people should be comfortable where there are

This sounds sort of depressing but I wonder if I believed a lot of false hope teaching???
