thank the lord above for people like you who take the time and effort to make videos like this. i'm considering booking here and the reservations website has 0 pictures available. your video was extremely useful and i appreciate your labor.
Glad it was helpful! It's a nice campground and conveniently located just outside of Vail
Thank you for the video!
You're welcome!
Nice! Might need to stay here the night before I run Holy Cross! Such a useful video!
You should! I'll await the Holy Cross video. I want to explore that area more.
Thanks for posting this. We just booked site #12 (only two available for our date 5 & 12). Looking forward to staying there!
Awesome! Glad we could help you pick a site. Have a great trip!
Are any of the trails open to ATVs?
I don't believe they are allowed in the nearby wilderness area
This one looks great. Love that area of Colorado, and doesn’t look beetle killed yet
It's a nice area. Easy access from I-70 and Vail but it feels more secluded.
Your brain was beetle killed.
I love Vail. But I have never camped there. I will have to change this out. I love that graphic at the bottom of the screen. How did you do that
The GPS data at the bottom of the screen is available on the newer GoPro cameras and a couple other brands. Colorado Overland uses a different camera on their channel that has similar data.
@@CampgroundRecon Did I tell you guys about the Colorado UA-camrs Facebook group. You should join us. We are planning a meetup. And you can list your videos. I couldn't remember if I told you about it or not
@@ColoradoMartini I joined pretty early but just now turned on notifications. I'll check it out. Thanks for the invite!
Could you fit a truck and 30 ft travel trailer here?
Yes. 35 ft is listed as the max parking space. Might need to park the truck at a bit of an angle once you unhitch. Just know which loop you need to turn at.
Wonder if this area has been affected by any fires since 2019
I don’t think so. No fires that close to Vail
It looks great. We live in Avon, so not sure we would camp in Vail but the trails and the creek are appealing for a quick getaway. Thanks for the video!
Beautiful lush campground. Might have to take advantage of this spot when the NY philharmonic is performing in Vail.
It’s a beautiful campground
This one looks great. Creek sounds fantastic. Sorry I missed premiere. Silly dishes won't wash themselves!
Great location right off I-70 makes it a great stopover when driving across Colorado. This one feels remote even though it is almost in town.
