I was a security guard on a construction site. A gentleman pulled in and tried to go through the side entrance and I stopped him and told him he had to have a hard hat. He said he didnt and I explained he was on a active site and would have to go to the other gate and into the office and get a hard hat. Next thing I knew he pulled up twenty minutes later and asked me my name. All I thought to myself was oh dang here goes my job. After I told him he then explained who he was. He is the owner of a billion-dollar project being built right where I was standing. 🤣🤣 I was like okay I'm fired 🤣🤣 He thanked me for following the rules and said he wanted me at the front gate. He made me the new supervisor and every morning he would bring me coffee and specialty donuts down to the gate. One of the nicest men I ever worked for. 🤗🤗
Yeah it's not easy enforcing the rules and even when you get fired for it it still feels good. I had the fired experience lol with allied universal protection.

This has happened to me once. I was a receptionist and we had a code to get into the doors. An older gentleman shows up and tries to get in and I tell him I’m sorry sir I cannot just left you in. He was really nice about it and didn’t argue. Another employee noticed him and said oh I’m so sorry go ahead sir. I am a general contractor. Usually I don’t talk to subcontractors or their employees until they have done +3 projects for us. We hired a new drywall subcontractor. No one knows who I am. I came to clean jobsite. I remember one of the subcontractors employees was working. He asked me who I am. I said I’m here to clean. He looked at me. Threw a bunch of crap on the floor and told me to pick it up. He had a smirk on his face. I told the guy to pick up his stuff and get off my job. He said who do you think you are? I told him I show you who I am. I called my office and fire that subcontractor. The contractor called and begged for a second chance. After some begging I allowed the contractor to finish his job but that employee was never allowed back onsite. That same guy called and apologized. I still didn’t let him back on my jobsite. You never disrespected my employee. Be careful who you fuck with. Sometimes that hobo is the owner😂
And sometimes they're an Angel 😇 in disguise. No, I'm not a millionaire, but I had a stroke in 2021. I should've died. Doctors and nurses gave up 😢 and my wife had no idea how bad I was. I had a Clot that went from my leg to my brain. I asked Jesus Christ to forgive me for all the evil I caused Him and my wife 💔 🙏, family, and people I didn't even know. I was such an a***Ole, to everyone around me. All the machines went crazy 🤪 😮, BP, Heart Monitor, and even a portable X-ray machine. The nurse freaked out and yelled for the other doctors 😳. They couldn't find the blood clot in my brain. They told my wife and me, "You're very lucky to be alive." My Lord, Jesus Christ Saved me that day, saved my relationship with Him, my wife, and marriage. Jesus Christ is no joke, He's REAL. We've ALL made mistakes, some worse than others. When I went to my second job interview, I felt I did poorly, even though it was for a software engineer trainee position. As I was leaving, I held the door for a man whom I assumed was a network technician (he was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, and Caterpillar boots, while everyone else was in formal attire), and we went to the elevator together. He asked me how my interview went and a couple of questions about what I learned in school. I thought it was just small talk and told him I thought I did badly because there was a lot I hadn’t seen in college but I now know what to learn to be prepared for the next opportunity.
I left the building feeling so unmotivated that I didn’t show up to another interview I had that day, and instead went straight home to get some sleep. The next day, I got a call from HR telling me I’d passed the first round and they wanted a second interview with me. Everything we talked about was related to the current position because I was going to be hired.
Then, in my first week, I learned two things: I was the only one hired, and the guy I talked to in the elevator was actually the owner of the company

My issue with everyone offering up a time this happened to them is you all were just following the rules. This guy started out assuming she was someone else. If the scene had started with him saying "Excuse me. Miss, you can't just walk in. You need to sign in first." then you would all be right and he was just doing his job. Instead he assumed she was a courier not someone with business in the building. He had a bias. Which sucks because I'd love a movie to actually do this kind of scene right with the receptionist/security just doing their job instead of assuming the person doesn't belong.
No, this scene started exa tly the same way. He didn't know who she was, so he had her sign in like everyone else. The courier assumption is understandable as she is a courier and has her bike pulled up out front, dressed like one etc. He did his job. And she had the grace to give her name, softly, and not call him out. Her smile isn't rude but humble and like, yeah, sorry.
I agree with the other commenter. I've seen this movie, if you saw it, you'd understand the context too.
I'm baffled by how many people on here are defending this guy, despite the very fact that this scene pretty clearly shows why it is wrong to make assumptions about someone by the way they are dressed.
You are damn correct with your comment! The guy had bias and was sent back down to his post by reminding not to judge a person by the clothes she or he wears.

I rushed over and said " No wait, we're not serving yet, just go sit down and we'll announce lunch!" He smiled, turned and walked away. A co-worker came over to me quickly and whispered in my ear "That's the CEO." I was horrified at myself, but so impressed by the humility of this executive. I'll never forget it.
That’s a perfect example of when you either find a huge hole, or you dig one and dump in it 🤣
Bruh noone asked for your stupid ahh stories
CEO was peckish but also a good man
Smile on her face 😅
When I was in the Navy, a Nuke, there was a story going around that someone was literally up in the overhead pipes fixing something. Admiral Rickover, the godfather of the nuclear navy, was on board that day and when he heard of the issue, he went to see what was happening and see what was wrong. He climbed up into the overhead also and crowded the guy doing the repairs. The mechanic told him to get lost and he would be down in a minute. When he came down he saw that it was RIckover that he yelled at and also fell over, knowing his career was over. Rickover shook the man's hand and told him he was right to clear out he area if the other person was slowing the repair or risking the equipment. This attitude was encouraged in the nuclear navy. It made repairs faster and safer if everyone was honest about what was going on.
Lmao he told an Admiral to kick rocks thats funny.
@SolFireYT And had every reason to do so. Positional authority vs Situational authority, best to follow the instruction of the man or woman handling any situation. Even when they're wrong, as long as it doesn't cause a safety concern, it's best to do as they say and let them face the consequence.
You're a piece of fkn shit supporting and glorifying nuclear warheads.
Irrelevant to the story because people like you exist that want to sound important you fuck the world for anyone else.
F off.
Enemy is watching you😉
I wonder how you have the time to write those things
U can see the *"CROFT HOLDINGS"* written behind the receptionist
She is so beautiful and that Smirk she gave him said a hell of alot without saying a word!! Love it!!😮😮😂😂
She didn't boost or all arrogant. She was so polite. Good boss.
that's what you think?
A good boss expects a random employee to know her face even though she, most likely, never met him face to face?
Kinda seemed like she was happy he was doing his JOB. 😊
She was a boss.
@@meganlynn83She had an arrogant smirk
You can always tell what someone is really like by how they treat someone who they dont benefit by being nice to them.
Yeah lol
I'd give this man a bonus or raise for doing his job without compromise. These days corruption/favouratism/bribe/nepotism damages a lot of businesses.
Love how they don’t have her be rude to the guy. Too many shows have her he characters be rude to the employees for just doing their job.
I worked for multi billionaire man once and 1 day he sent his daughter to get training. My boss didn’t tell me anything put me in charge of training her. I thought she was a poor college intern so I treated her to lunch and was nice to her. After everything settled and I realized who she was, we still have lunch together.
That’s nice and that’s how u should treat others . Being humble and find out what they are there for , it wouldn’t have been like that if u were like the guy in the video and rudely asked her to go to the back entrance for deliveries without even asking her purpose of visit .
I was a Telco Technician working on a disconnect order. Do hundreds daily so didn't recognize this one order has been submitted 3x before. Higher up CEO of the Telco came storming down demanding to know why I disconnected his number 3x's? Without hesitation I told him, "You're asking the wrong question to the wrong person. What I'm doing is what you pay me to do - my job" His face went purple. He came back later and apologized. Good man.
😮😢😮😢yeah....you never know whom you're talking 👄 😉 😏 to so be gracious and kind ALWAYS...
Wow😮
Can you further explain? What is a 3x disconnect Order?
Sounds like you are lucky you even had a job afterwards, men have ego. But you would probably have just found another one anyway so meh lol
@@the1badmonkey950i don’t get it either
I'm a nobody, but, if we see someone who's not wearing an ID we're supposed to ask. I politely asked someone if I could help them and then politely asked to see their ID. A manager behind me told me (in front of the person) to mind my own business. Turns out the person was a VP ... And it seems she had an unpleasant talk with the Manager. (1) for talking to an employee like that and (2) Safety and security is everyones job. I found out the VP walked by this manager 3 times and they never said a word.
I was actually on a helicopter and this flying man walked up to my helicopter and tried flying into my helicopter but I denied him access. That is when he revealed he was actually Elon Musk disguised as Jeff Bezos. He had also just bought me and I let him onto my helicopter. One of the nicest flying men I’ve ever been owned by
It’s called “RESPECT”. It should be given to everyone. If you respect others, it can be inferred that you respect yourself, and are worthy to receive it from others as well.
Respect is earned not given.
@@HolgerDanskeNo as a guard I do our SOP without being rude almost like lobby staff. They don't need to earn my respect what they need is abide by the rules given to me by my employer.
@@HolgerDanske I respect your opinion, but why does your respect need to be valued so much so that someone would need to earn it?
@@onetwothreefourfivesix789 Because I must earn other people's respect, they should earn mine. I don't want someone to respect me arbitrarily but because of my actions, honesty and words.
@@HolgerDanske Fair point, I can’t argue with that
Similar thing happened to me in the army. I live in a country which military is obligatory. I was regular private doing my job meaning i was watching stuff. Whenever i go to watchtower I get a signal and passwort. When i yell signal whomever comes across are supposed to say password. A man tries to come to military own land through my watchtower but he doesn't have any kind of military equipment(even tho they need to say password). So i yell he doesn't answer in the end i arrested him and called ready units. Turns out he's a Colonel in our base and i have never seen him because he was a marine. I got released 1 week earlier as a reward from my obligatory military period and, the colonel took me as his armed driver during my service because i arrested a civilian who can't answer the password.
Well done.
lol nice
Compulsory military service should be abolished, Enes.

Cultural differences, I worked for a Japanese firm, the CEO, would happily follow security protocol, even stopped a few times and checked. And was thankful to the security team for keeping everyone safe. When everyone saw this, no-one complained about being stopped by security.
Right, Japanese r very polite, they address ppl properly, smile n bow, then they bomb pearl horror anyway, no one see it coming, 😀😀😀😀😀
@@gusyao8407well they didn't left any atom message a couple of times to non military targets did they??
@@gusyao8407 There is credible bits of info esp from the Japanese which suggests that contrary to popular belief the American leadership did see it coming. They choose to allow it to happen as it would energise a previously steadfastly anti war US populace.
Intentionally allowing things to happen or 'cooking up' evidence to start wars is not a new thing for the US political and military class.

Nearly the same story happened to me once. I worked for an investment bank, I just came, was new to the company, I was employed as an event manager and I was heading to the conference. I got into the lift together with an old man , he was well-dressed and eager to talk, he was accompanied by another man. Later it turned out that he was his bodyguard. He asked me what company I was working for, whether I liked working for the company and where I studied what education I had, we had a wonderful talk and after that he offered to give me a ride to the conference venue because he was going to the same conference. I happily agreed. When we arrived at the conference , other employees saw me with him they told me: “don’t you know.. it’s a famous Russian politician, he is from the Russian government….that was funny, because while I was chatting with him I had a feeling as if he was my old neighbour or somebody I had met before it didn’t even occur to me that he was famous
That’s the power of politicians
ll
Probably because you just came.
Waiting for the "it didn't happen" comments to pop up
So... spit it out, Putin?
The way i see it he was doing his job and making sure polocies are followed, this is why his boss reacted the way she did, sometimes the smallest things can have the greatest impacted, such as giving a last name!
It happened to me to stop and send back in the waiting room the new CEO of the hospital 😂😂
I would expect my employees to be friendlier in their interactions.
"Excuse me, youll have to sign in." ..."Unless youre a courrier then you can just go around the back."
And it should be said in a tone that is friendly, not in a tone that says "this is the 1,000 time I've said this today, i hate my job."
