“I’ve never heard anything better”, “a sound I will never forget”, etc. If I had a dollar for every time you’ve said that in your videos over the years I’d almost have enough for one of these components.
He is not alone...the vast majority of these reviewers are all audio addicts for want of a better term...every week or month they find a new "best" component...take everything they say with a grain of salt
I will never forget my late father’s SONY TA-E88B AND TA-N88B PREAMP/AMPLIFIER COMBO. There was a switch on the power amplifier that allowed the listener to operate the power amplifier in class A mode and class B. So as a 10 year old curious boy, I heard the class A quality through this amplifier and waited for the beautiful heatsink to get hot ☄️🔥 and what a sound. Unforgettable experience and build quality.
My ESS AMT 1a speakers are still on my all-time favorite list. So much so that I am still listening to them 49 years after having purchased them. They are my only speakers.
10. The Audio Physic Spark IIII speakers 9. The Sony NS9100ES DVD player, with mods 8. The Salk Songtower transmission-line speakers 7. The Bryston 2BLP power amplifier 6. The Dared DV-6C multichannel analog amplifier 5. The KEF C80 speakers 4. The original Arcam A60 integrated amplifier 3. The Linn Katan passive bookshelf speakers 2. The Naim Nait 5i integrated amplifier 1. The Arcam FMJ CD23T
I would feel truly privileged to listen at length to this kit. I definitely vote for the Chord Dave, Buchardt Audio Speakers (i love the floorstanders with Primare Pre-Amp), the KII three BXT (put simply WOW F@@@@@g WOW), DCS DACs, and the Luxman L 507x with KEF blades. I just need a bigger house and the budget to buy them.
PSM conditioner is nothing more than a bunch of inductors to filter out AC noise. It’s been done many times. Conditioners like this is heavily dependent on your AC quality. They will at best give you blacker backgrounds at the expense of limiting dynamics and soundstage.
I own the Aavik U-150 and I agree with you....The most natural, life-like sound I've ever heard.....If you enjoy "being there".....this piece is untouchable ....if you are lucky enough to find a used unit under 10K..it's a hi-fi bargain....
maybe a relic at this stage … but the Luxman Lv-109 integrated; a built in dac in the mid 80's . certainly ahead of the times. if get a chance ; but would imagine the modern gear better ?
I saw that you had reviewed B & W 706 s2 but I am not able to access it. Can you please give your opinion whether they are bright and so cannot listen for long time . Where I stay the demo of these speakers is not possible.
You’ve said that about every turntable. The technics 1210gr, then you said it about the feickert volare, and now the pure audio harmony. Same words different decks 😂 I enjoy your videos but come on..
The Steinway/Lyndorf system it's ridiculous and it's similar idea to your number 1 only it's a few rungs up actually make that 4 and price as well. It comes close to what I have with a all in one idea as everything is made for each other!!

@@AlexanderTG3Hi and thanks for these comments! Would you say the Puritan gives a big benefit to your source components though? And out of curiosity, what was the primary benefit of plugging your amp back into the wall?
@@Vsread21 big improvements for source components. However the amp sounds bad through the conditioner. The centre image sounds muffled and sound is congested. Plugging it back into the wall the sound is more dynamic, centre image is more open and mostly importantly more realistic/holographic
The first time I heard the Wilson audio watt puppies, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I didn’t have any experience with any other high end speakers, and that was the start of my journey.

The moment he started talking about the cables i realised i ccannot take anything he says seriously.

Very true. Or does it have control via an app?

Sennheiser HD 570 Symphony - discontinued in 1999 .. had them since, my first jump into mid-fi and I still find them enjoyable.

its fine, its the common audio snake oils, just prob not in regular basis
think the most prominent would be ambience and how they tune around it
It seems you like the envoloping warm sound with all the HiFi niceties thrown in, interesting choices especially the component no 10!
What size room is needed for the Daniel Hertz Eva system and for the Amber system?
I have Troels Gravesen prelude they are fantastic 😊👍

Very close.
Love “all time” favorite components list 👍🏻
Over 40 years ago: LS3/5a and then dahlquest DQ-10 speakers
Thanks, helps contextualizing the top reviews of all; the true standouts, for you
Hey, where is T+D D200? Not favorite anymore? And Weiss 204...
I would love to own a pair of either of those Klipsch speakers and get Danny Richie at GR research to tweak them with a kit
Interested in your thoughts on the Weiss DAC 204 and whether you still rate this above the Chord Dave plus it's more affordable?
I interested as well, was looking at the Weiss as my next dac possibly.
Dean Martin in a 1960's Jazz Club?
That would've NEVER happened. Just ask Sammy.

Burmester 082 integrated amp, best I’ve heard
So I’d like to hear your comparison between the Buchardt and the D Hertz as this new trend emerges…
I will never forget the Sonus Faber Guarneri Evolution 😎
And the now defunct Duntech PCL-15 😢

How about the Bass Response on the number 1 System? Are these just one Concentric Driver/Tweeter in each Floorstander?
Another great review! Loved it! Please help! In the past you reviewed the Wharfedale Diamond 225 and the Emotiva B2+. Which one do you prefer and why?

Do you plug your amp into it. I've found with my Accuphase E-5000 it still sounds better direct from the wall

If reviewers never have something negative to say about products they “review” then you should be suspicious.
i mean some really flawless in its price range
