Also in my country. I am school inspector and educational advisor. Do you know what is hunger for affection or emotional hunger? It is "a feeling of a strong emotional need that is ussualy brought about by deprivation in childhood". Would Oz' law cover their edge case? Because in France it would have been very difficult. She was never his teacher and he had already reached the age of consent (15). They were in the same school and met in an after-school drama club but she was never in what is legally defined in a "position of authority" over him since she had no direct control over his grades, formal cursus learning etc. That's also why he was in the same class as her daughter Laurence becauss she could not be teaching her own children. Plus many in Amiens believe they never had any physical relations until he came back to fetch her after he had been forcefully moved to Paris (i.e he had turned 18 and was not linked with her school since over 2 years). Personally, the age gap is not the issue. If they had met when he was 25 and she was 50, it would have been digestible. The issue is that he was just 15 and no matter what the law says, 15 is a kid. For him to relentlessly pursue someone that much older and married with kids, he obviously didn't understand the consequences of breaking up a family. For her to be attracted to a 15/16 year old and not actively dissuade him is creepy.
