A playlist of videos covering the issues with the BBC and transphobic reporting: ua-cam.com/play/PLmWFOeT2jEofVIDW9X3OL7GqWuX3Dxopu.html
I will continue to appreciate you bringing attention to it for as the BBC continues as it is
The "Don't forget to subscribe" thing is like a passing of the torch for current Doctors now.
My favorite is an interview they had with Tom Baker a few years ago when he said “somebody just passed me this note here. It says ‘Don’t forget to subscribe to the official Doctor Who UA-cam channel.’ Now how could I possibly forget that?” With a huge grin on his face.
Space Babies is as literal a title as Dinosaurs on a Spaceship.😊
When I saw that I first was like...how literal is this. Then I saw the trailer and thought, oh that literal.
Am I the only one who thought Uh Oh its a BB3B situation (obscure reference)
I like how Ncuti Doctor has so much energy and positivity. His therapy seems to have gone well. But the universe didn’t have therapy. I wonder what happens when the Doctor realizes he may be better but it’s still him out there alone against all the evil.
Also, that no family bit. I think that’s a tease. What happens when absent grandfather meets the granddaughter he left marooned with no tardis.
For future reference, Jinkx Monsoon uses she/her when in drag and they/them out of drag!
Edit: This is outdated information! As of 2024, Jinkx Monsoon has says she identifies as trans-femme and uses she/her!
This is something I didn't know! Thank you!!
I've been wondering how that would work with drag queens. Makes sense that they might have two different versions.
Also makes sense not to generalize that from one person, so I won't :)
From Wikipedia:
In a 2024 interview, Monsoon stated that she identifies as trans-femme and uses she/her pronouns.

I assume it’s similar to kayfabe.
@Ataraxy123 Ah, seems my knowledge is outdated! Disregard my comment and read the one above, folks!
I love that we are getting both a Bridgerton and a 60s mod look for the Doctor.
Also, when the Doctor says they are stopping the extinction i love that there's hope in his voice.
I'm just hoping that Ncuti Gatwa has at least one Doctor speech that makes me feel like HE'S the Doctor. Every Doctor has that moment, except Jodie and I was really upset that I never got that moment from her run.
Same. The closest it ever got for me with Jodie was that bit in Villa Diodati about the team not being flat, that she's at the top; but yeah its a shame we never got that from her era.
The Doctor’s speech about turning whoever’s battlefield into dust gave me chills and all the bits from the musical episode has me excited! 😁 if Russell keeps a leash on himself by not having a Doctor/companion relationship, Daleks and the Master returning - I’ll be one happy Whovian.
Honestly I would love atlesst for Nctuti gatwas first season they either use new villains or lesser known doctor who villains we haven't seen in awhile like what they did with the toymaker and beep the meep
I thought you'd have more to say on the episode titles! Or well, specifically the writers - 6/8 written by RTD, one written by Moffat... not a lot of new blood. Series 1 also had 8/13 written by RTD which is similar, but I am hesitant about it. Especially considering that, apart from the finale, I think all the best series 1 episodes were not written by RTD.
Thank you!
I mean this in the best possible way, after the 60th specials, I think we had enough Russell and I was fully expecting he'd take a step back. I was looking forward to seeing what other writers would bring to the table, both for this new era and for Ncuti's Doctor specifically. So finding out that he's written 6/8 of the episodes... I had to really convince myself it's not a massive issue but it still feels weird.
Fun Fact: By the time Rogue airs, presumably in June, it will have been roughly 4 years and 4 months since we had an episode that _wasn't_ written (or co-written) by one of the big three.
Like I said though, I convinced myself it's not a big deal. Russell writing so much of the series could end up being good for consistency, especially if there's some more serialized story elements. But time will tell.
I think it's important to know that RTD has improved as a writer since series 1. Series 4 was his best. He wrote Turn Left and Midnight and then Waters of Mars. He also wrote Wild Blue Yonder and Children of Earth.
His bad episodes in series 1 are his standalone ones and it's the standalone episodes he's gotten better at since.
Also this makes it seem like it might be more like his limited series years and years. It's a good thing to me for season 1. Next season there'll be more for sure.
Vera already has a whole video about it: ua-cam.com/video/_QvSRLk0ej0/v-deo.html
I would love to see that Bi-generation video!
Same! It would be nice to get some perspective on it
I third this.
I know for me, bigeneration works but I have surprised myself by really not liking Russell's Doctorverse theory. Sure, there are couple it would work with but the majority of regens in the Classic era were so final such that 3, 4, 5, and 7 died and 8 made the active choice. The only one where I can clearly see a bigeneration is 2 to 3. Then we get season 6b.
@@mxrichardsonsneighbourhood5402 Love yr knowledge & logic, way beyond me! I want to hear Vera’s take on the general zeitgeist of Who, but now that you mention it, how in heck does it work anyway, and why here and now? (That said, logic in Doctor Who is nothing if not evasive! Not something that usually bothers me 😅)

i think the guy that people are saying is Captain Jack is not going to be Captain Jack but a different time agent instead.
I think he might be his brother if they want to keep the family in the show cause outside of a hologram and flashback in torchwood used as leverage against jack we never really have seen his brother so it could work as a jack replacement without recasting jack
@@kevin10001 Ohhhhhh, I think you might be onto something there...
@@kevin10001 prefer someone new but that could be cool
@@BARALover96 it’s technically someone new cause it’s someone we never really met except in a flashback in torchwood as a child but i get what u mean and someone new would be nice also if he isn’t jack’s brother
I’m very excited for Gatwa. I feel like he’s gonna bring some fabulous, strong energy to the part
UA-cam has got really bad with the bot comments recently
Yes, I'd love a video of you discussing your thought on the bigeneration.
As a long time Doctor Who fan, like I watched since the 80s in my single digit age, hiding behind the foot stool because Darleks were the scariest thing ever, Camp is the core of Doctor Who and I laugh at every time people complain about it.
Also as a long time fan, I wouldn't say it is the core but it is one of aspects, one of the core elements that has been there throughout the life of the show.
One of the things I'm wondering since we're going back to UNIT and 60th special characters. I wonder if 14 remembers meeting 15 for that little bit of time and if it'll be brought up again by the characters
Personally I like the idea of Jonathan Groff's character maybe being a time lord, but not one who we've ever seen before
I really really want the fact that there's a line in here calling out a battlefield to be a clever hint that they're bringing back elements from Battlefield.... I really want it to, but it's just one word that probably means nothing. :)
I would love this, as Battlefield is one of my all-time favorite episodes. Let us see what happened with Mordred, and have some of that epic battle that could have been. And a cameo for Bambera and Ancelyn.
Let's be honest, Nu Who has only acknowledged three Time Lords since the revival. There are a lot of candidates to choose from.
Oh my god, are we at last getting the long awaited "Doctor Who: The Musical"
I have no problem with bi-generation. I still think the weirdest regeneration is from 4 to 5 where his next regeneration was following around Baker until he "died" and the next regeneration merged with him and became Davidson.
To me, it seems Bi-generation seems like Toymaker's rules messing around with The Doctor's Timey Whimey. It made sense to me.
I don't see it as the Toymaker messing around with the Doctor or regeneration, more that he changed the rules around eveything which allowed it to happen. Even though Fifteen kinda says that it may have happened before by acknowledging it as a myth. I'm not sure how I feel about bi-generation myself, I don't have any major issues with it but something doesn't sit right, although that might have more to do with Ten/Fourteen still being around because RTD is the one that doesn't want to let him go.
The Watcher thing was bizarre and has never come up again. I just took bi-generation as the Nu Who equivalent of that.
The only thing I really hated about the bigeneration was off camera - specifically RTD's comment that every regeneration was a bi-generation. That REALLY seemed like a Disney-motivated thing (as in Disney said that if they were paying for this show and it was successful they wanted him to build in the ability to open up spin-offs with previous Doctors).
I think that the resolution it gave the David Tennant Doctor and the way it allowed Ncuti to have a completely fresh start unburdened by the trauma of previous incarnations was worth the weirdness...but the idea it had happened every time but we'd never noticed it before just seems silly even by Doctor Who standards.

@@edwardcatt2399Happy Trans Day of Visibility, to you as well! 💙💗🤍💗💙
11:47 It's not the real Abbey Road, it's either a Cardiff stand-in or a set in Bad Wolf Studios, probably a re-dress of the street that Donna and family lived on in The Star Beast.
I liked the Doctor's expression, when he let the butterfly fly away. It was so full of wonder and love for all the small parts of creation. And it seemed like the butterfly effekt stuff from the previous trailer had been resolved.
I think RTD is looking forward. He recently said that he doesn't wanna do a 20th anniversary special for the revival because he doesn't want to keep looking back.
I wonder if maybe he's writing so much of it up front to really set a tone for the shooting forward so that new writers have examples to go off of?
I don’t know there has always been and I don’t mean this in a bad way a sense of arrogance/in house attitude to RTD as a creative. He likes working with a lot of the same people because he understands their work ethic and his own.
The new Ghostbusters movie is actually surprisingly good. There are a lot of little nostalgic moments, but they handle this by incorporating real-life Ghostbusters things, i.e. commercials for Ghostbusters toys, etc., as part of the universe's Canon. It's not just that they're trying to make US nostalgic for it, the CHARACTERS are nostalgic for it. I thought it was kind of clever, but you may not like it. Anyway, there is a real plot, with real stakes, and it's pretty fun, imo.
If you decide to make the bigeneration video, I know I'll watch it.
Seconded!
@@nymphrodellsalavin 🙋🏻♀
I'm sort of surprised that they've not shown the Beatles properly yet in these trailers outside of the "coming in May" trailer from Church in Ruby Road where they appear for a brief second. And seeing as they're on Abbey Road in this trailer, I was fully expecting to see them
I have a feeling that the butterfly effect moment will be one of the things that causes The Doctor to realize that reality isn't working like it should and it will be fixed/undone by the time that Ruby exits the show.
I liked this trailer it has got me excited for the new season
I am someone who has wanted Doctor Who to do an onscreen musical episode since the revival, and how freaking good Doctor Who And the Pirates (Or the Lass Who Lost A Sailor) is, particularly episode 3, only makes me double down on this opinion (though I'm not sure if I'd heard that one before or after the revival)
...But then, I've also wanted to see some pure fantasy episodes without any sci-fi justification for it since the revival. I just want to see Doctor Who do genres it hasn't done much of more often. It's not so much that I've wanted to see Doctor Who do a musical, it's that Doctor Who has only gone all in on that that once (on audio, for 1/4 of a story) (Though I've seen someone argue for The Gunslingers also being a musical but... You have to squint, hard, for that.)
This trailer was so much fun! Everything I see makes me more excited for the new season. And we're just over a month away!!! May is such a hectic month for me, work-wise, that having Doctor Who at the end of the week is going to be such a good thing.
It takes until you say 'Crosswalk' instead of 'zebra crossing' for me to remember you're from the Americas? Shows how much I like you! 😁
i am also a bit ehh about series one only having 2 new writers (both in one episode) but rtd has said series 2 has a more varied pool of writers, and the spin offs should have newer writters
Series 1 was wonky. The bin eating Mickey and then burping? 😮💨
That's part of what got me into Doctor Who. Basically going "Oh this shit is BONKERS, and I need more of it."
Definitely agree that this trailer was a better one for me, liked the last one but this one has more intrigue for me and also shows more breadth in its tone with the scary and the camp and the light and the dark. So, so, SO excited for Ncuti
I get pride piper/ truman show vibes causing the musical numbers, linking back to the JukeBox left by the toymaker.
I'd love to see a video on bigeneration tbh.
Maybe it's a stretch, but when Ruby says to the Doctor "Come on, we got work to do", I feel that's a reference to what 7 said to Ace in the last scene of Classic Who, and the Doctor's smile right after is him basically showing us "that's literally something I've said before!"
I’m a little disappointed about the confirmation of only eight episodes, but as long as they’re solid, I don’t mind too much. Especially if gap years are indeed a thing of the past.
Also think it’s hilarious Moffat is writing another episode that’s one word that starts with the letter B.
Also I would love a video about the bi-generation. Would be interesting to have a larger conversation about it. I think it’s a really interesting idea, but should almost certainly be a one-off. At least for The Doctor. Would be cool to see The Master bi-generate in the future or something similar.
Happy trans visibility day, Vera. Hopefully the rest of the day is relaxing for you.
Space Babies as a title and as a concept is just so bonkers that it'll probably be either completely awful or utterly brilliant!
the marmite episode of the season.
It feels like, in response to the anti-transness of the BBC news arm, the Doctor Who team has decided to lean in as hard as they can, highlighting gay & trans characters and performers, showing their support as best they can. Kudos to them for making their views known!
I think it would further the discussion if you'd put out your case for the bigeneration. Because I've heard some criticism, points that rang true for me, I myself am not so hot on that whole thing because in my opinion it took away from Cutis moment. So I'd be interested to hear you make a case for it
I absolutely would enjoy a video on bi-generation, to be sure
I am not a big fan of musicals, but they can be really fun if it's driven by a good writing that makes it make sense in the story, so I'm not worried about having one in Doctor Who. Star Trek Strange New Worlds pulled it off impeccably and i was Not expecting a musical there. It's probably one of my fave episodes from that show.
you were right going for she/her for Jinkx btw, even out of drag she's started using those pronouns
I would be interested in a video responding to arguments against bigeneration. My issue with it is that it's important for the new doctors first scene to steal the scene they're in and that didn't get across nearly as effectively when he's sharing the scene with the old doctor.
YES I'm interested DO IT
I would be interested in your bi-regeneration thoughts because I don't think I hate Bi-Regeneration itself, I'm frustrated that 14 doesn't go, and the random nature of how it comes about feels like it cheapens the Climax.
I want to second wanting. Bi generation episode, though I am a bit more positive mostly because I wouldn't be against more Tate and Tenant.
@@cmmosher8035 in a round about way if the other Tales Of The Tardis doctors had popped out as well I might have not minded it so much conceptually. But just Tennant. Again? Yeah I dunno. It's always a tough balance, I'm not against Tennant in more stuff, just not hanging around to be brought back to linger after saying "I don't want to go" the first time.
I wish they did MORE with it, not less. As it is it feels a bit flimsy and just an excuse to hang Tennant over the next series like a safety net.
I'm learning to accept it as just the fun spontaneous moment it is, but always curious to hear someone defend it as a legitimate best case scenario execution.
@@B-MC I guess I should say I don't want anything more than a special here and maybe there. I specifically want Ncuti and whoever follows him to be the Doctor and don't want Tenant or any other past actor to become a main Doctor again.
I'd deffo like to hear more about your thoughts on the criticisms of bigeneration! Would be great to hear your thoughts
I'm still undecided on the bigeneration. I'm not against it, but a comment made by RTD made me confused. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. This trailer was fab. There seems to be so much to squeeze into 8 episodes.
If you’re talking about the “every Doctor was bigenerated” thing, I have no opinion because commentary is not canon.
I like the BBC trailer better than the Disney trailer.
Jinx is awesome. I’m really looking forward to seeing her in this. She is a comedy musical theatre Queen and a professional cabaret and musical theatre performer. She recently played Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway and her Snatch game Judy Garland from the Ru Paul’s Drag Race All Winners season (which she won) is brilliantly hilarious. She identifies as Trans Femme and uses she/her pronouns.
The thing I am annoyed the most about is the fact I will only be able to watch the first episode of the new series for a while because mid May I will be in Canada for 25 days on like a tech free adventure trip and wont be back until early June. So I will miss at least like 2 or 3 episodes which is like a big chunk of the series. But I will have a binge catch up when I get back so all is good on that front. I felt the musical episode was brewing for a while with the announcements of Jinkx Monsoon and actually also of Jonathan Groff. Knowing that Groff is most known for being in musical based projects. He started out in Spring Awakening, rose to prominence with his guest role on Glee and is the voice of Kristoff in Frozen and then in more recent times played King George III in Hamilton so like that's his world. He's comfortable there but I know that as well as being an established and successful drag performer Jinkx has also very recently been on Broadway in a musical because they played Big Mama Morton in Chicago. I saw a clip of them performing When You're Good To Mama on Tik Tok and it was very good. So again clearly someone who is comfortable in that world so after seeing this trailer and it near enough confirming that the musical elements are coming into the show on a more regular basis and the Xmas special wasn't just a one off I was happy and also curious. I know RTD has had this in the works as an idea for the show for a while and like I said I suspected it early on when Groff and Jinkx were announced. I was actually the casting of Neil Patrick Harris that made me feel stuff like this may potentially be introduced into the show and then the cast announcement for Jinks and Groff further solidified it and then like we had the Spice Girls dance break moment in the 60th and The Goblin Song in the Xmas special and I was like "yeah this is a thing now" and seeing as well that we were gonna have The Beatles guest appear in the 60s episode like how could people not thing we are getting more musical moments in the show. As a lover of Doctor Who and a lover of Musicals the fact that two of my face things in the world are gonna be combined is gonna be too much for me. I think it will put me on the floor not gonna lie. My little neurodivergent brain is gonna explode.
yesss bi generation episode.
The first time Doctor used the word mavity was in the Satan pit. Wonder if they are bringing back the beast. I hope so. I saw the new doctor say he wanted to bring it back.
The Doctor saying "Gravity-shmavity" (a common way of being being dismissive) while towing a ship with the TARDIS isn't the same as saying "mavity" in place of "gravity."
I literally just learned about this trailer so you did better then me lol
Hadn’t seen the Twitter X content. Interesting to see the writers’ names included. So “Boom” is SM’s episode - should be ‘interesting’.
BTW, have you seen the “New to Who?” Playlist on the Doctor Who UA-cam channel (not sure if it’s on Disney’s)?
Thanks, as always.
I like your birthday tee.
Christmas specials I like are basically the first two and Christmas carol
Happy Trans visibility day! 🏳️⚧️
The Beatles episode will probably be about Tim Harper and The Paul McCartney conspiracy.... Also Timothy Drake... Doctor who and Robin crossover?
Ncuti isn't my favorite Doctor yet, but I think he could very easily get there. He's giving just enough alien with the caring of being his companions and being able to show his wit matched with the dark side. I'm super excited and hope he stays for a while yet.
It's so cool you always mention the transphobia thing.
2:05 exactly yeah
I would love to hear your thoughts on bi-generation. your unique take on DW is always welcome and I love hearing to respond to others in the DW community
You are all those things too! I feel as though I’ve found you again. Agree with you sooo much except Murray Gold. Later!
I will only hear discourse on The Look(tm) between Gatwa and Jonathan Groff from here on out.
I like this trailer much more than the Disney trailer. I watched the Disney one and I didn’t feel excited but this one has made me look forward to the new series more.
Any opinion you have on pretty much anything is most welcome on my feed.
Oh, and Ghostbusters Frozen Empire is better than it seems. There are nostaligic elements, but I found them to be well-handled, and not overwhelming the story as a whole.
As it has been confirm Ruby will only be in the one season. I wonder if we might actually a Nu Who Adric moment? Backpeddling on Donna's fate. It will be interesting to see if RTD can shift the "everybody lives" nonsense for Companions in Nu Who.
Much as I like Doctor Who, and as much as I'm excited about this season, I agree that, in order to maintain the health of the franchise, they need to bring some new blood in.
I think that's where my lingering concerns about bi-generation come in. As a story beat, I thought it was great. "The Giggle" was actually my favorite of the 60th specials, and it was the only one that felt, to me, like a celebration of the entirety of the show. (As opposed to the first two specials, which felt more like a celebration of David Tennant and Catherine Tate.) It managed to have its cake and eat it, too: giving the Doctor a happy ending, time to rest and process the psychological trauma of the past, while also allowing the Doctor to continue having adventures. BUT this also means that the 14th Doctor is still out there, in the universe, and could return at any time. Much as I don't want people to think that the show to get stuck in an RTD-sized rut, I don't want it to get stuck in a David Tennant-sized rut, either. And while I'm particularly excited to see Rose Noble back, I really hope the creative team doesn't fall into the trap of bringing David Tennant back every time the ratings start to dip.
15:00 my main issue with the bigeneration is that it’s not really expanded on, I like the idea but I wished they explained it in a little more detail than “it’s a myth but NOT ANY MORE”.
Jinkx' has used a few different pronouns over the years but now exclusively use she/her and recently changed her government name to a more feminine one (but is still usung Jinkx professionally). She's used the label trans for a long time but I'm not sure if she defines herself beyond that.
I'd love to see you tackle a bigeneration video!! Please do!
Trans liberation now!
A bi-generation video separate from your review sounds like a good idea. It could give a new perspective on the topic for many fans.
Your skeptical thoughts are why I love you. You tell me how you feel about it.
Definitely would like to see a video breaking down your take on the bi-generation and response to the criticisms.
I agree woth you on several points.
I love the two doctors now. I kind of want a skit of a big bad trying to invade earth, a tardis shows up and bbeg is like well doctor enter evil rant.
Another tardis shows up and the bbeg like, there two of you now? Oh hell no.
But I'm so excited for new doctor who
4:34 The Beatles reference?
"Should I do a video on why bi-generation is good?"
The answer is yes.
Im hoping the theory about the Valeyard retuning is true.
RTD has only returned to ensure that Doctor Who is future proofed by the inevitable defending of the BBC.
Great video and Happy Trans Visibility Day! This was a good trailer, I wouldn't mind the video on Bio generation to discuss more, if you want to. I'm looking to seeing the universe with this Doctor and Ruby. This is only the beginning
I think it would be interesting hearing more about what you think of bigeneration! For me personally, I thought it was totally fine until I heard every past doctor has also bigenerated. If that's the case (at least how i see it) then every regeneration in the history of the show isn't canon anymore, and that kinda sucks. But i could be misunderstanding it!
Where did you hear that every past Doctor had bi-generated? That sounds like complete rubbish to me and doesn't make any sense. We saw that they weren't bi-generations.
@@Elwaves2925 RTD's talked about it, I heard it on the official DW podcast
@@phlippy Cheers. I like RTD but that makes it meaningless. If it isn't in the show, it isn't official and isn't what I'd loosely call canon. So it only applies to one Doctor, not all of them.
@@Elwaves2925 that's what I'd like to believe too xD
Hopefully it either gets explained in more detail or just forgotten about
I don't know if it's just a me thing, but the past two Doctor Who trailer reactions have had ear blasting static play almost every time you unpause the trailer. Other videos I've watched between the two have not had that issue, and it's only when unpausing, which seems too coincidental to be only me. Just figured I'd point this out, cause it makes me hesitant to watch more in the future
Not sure why that happened but I've tried to trim those out, and generally I don't do trailer reactions this way.
wasnt an issue for me
@@bennett4789 because I’ve clipped the bits out.
As much as I’m still excited for the new season I still don’t like we are going back to the season revolving around the companion and I was tired of it by the end of Clara’s run thankfully it was drop from bill and the chibnall companions but it’s another thing to worry about cause Russell started the trend of the season revolving round the companion and as much as I love the blues brothers for the doctor I don’t like the getting the band back together mentality Russell seems to be on production wise makes him feel like he is becoming the showrunner victorious
Oh I hope the musical parts are limited to one episode.... I really cannot stand musicals....
Would love a video about bi-generation so so much as I like it too
I'm curious about the bigeneration debate now. I was fine with it and I haven't heard any arguments against it, but I'm not that far into the Dr. Who community, so now... I kinda wanna know.
The fact that it has come to light since that there are no further plans for the 14th Doctor. Makes the bi-generation pointless. As I read somewhere, when 14 says the line that he's never been happier, he should have just evaporated into regeneration energy.
Arguably the 14th Doctor was a pointless addition altogether. Made only for fanservice. But damage control was needed, post-Chibnall.
Series 1 is my favorite so I really don't mind the camp energy, although I didn't enjoy the 60th much at all so I dunno
Space babies!
3:35 Slip of the tongue?
I will laugh so damn hard is Jonathan Groff is playing King George III in Doctor Who.
I would be interested
I always love the BBC trailers more, I hope they’ll keep going. In general, for me, I don’t like American trailers, they feel p same-y, maybe just the way they’re edited. Probably just to do w not growing up w them.
I am nooooooot excited about musical episodes… kinda scared bout that
I saw the new ghostbusters movie today and i enjoyed it i hope you will too vera
I’m ok with the musical episode, I am however concerned about how the general audience will take it, given that it’s the second episode. It might turn a lot of people off early.
I wonder if that's why they're releasing two episodes at once? As a way to maybe appease the non-musical fans.
Personally, I don't care for most musicals so it's the one I'm looking forward to the least but I also don't hate them. I simply find them all a bit meh.
I for one would be very interested in a bi-generation video
Not hating, but the new trailer for Doctor Who makes me feel no excitement. Instead of looking forward to the new season I feel like I just wanna get it over with.
The problem for me is that the specials, while fun, made me feel like RTD is only interested in copying himself and not trying anything new. We have another modern day companion with a sexy Doctor and already have several mystery boxes. RTD retired Donna with her own personal Tennant exactly like he did with Rose. And FFS even had a mysterious hand reach in and pick up a golden object containing the Master's essence EXACTLY like in Last of the Time Lords!
I hated the bi-generation it takes away everything magical that makes Dr. Who.
