Backstage with Diplo in Nashville: Breaking Rules, New Album, Bringing Artists Together

Eryn caught up with the legendary producer and DJ backstage before his show -- following his adventurous day at the studio and attending a hot yoga class in 12 South. A class in which his friend's phone went off and got kicked out ... haha, yikes.
Diplo just released another installment of his Thomas Wesley project last month. In classic Diplo fashion, Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley: Chapter 2 - Swamp Savant features collaborations with artists from all over the sound spectrum -- including Dove Cameron, Lily Rose, Parker McCollum, Kodak Black, and Koe Wetzel.
Those last two featured artists apparently became instant besties when they met to shoo the music video for their song "Wasted" with Diplo. The three-time Grammy-winning producer explains what he's learned from being the catalyst for countless friendships between artists who may have otherwise never worked together.
Embracing the cohesion of unlikely-to-be-paired sounds is one of the "rules" Diplo famously breaks over and over. He tells Eryn how he researched "every way [he's] good at breaking the rules" throughout his career.
