Ching Shih: The most successful female pirate in history.

Ching Shi was born in 1775 in Guangdong Province, China.
Originally named Shi Yang, she was a prostitute and worked in a brothel in Canton. She was noticed by Cheng Yi, the commander of the Red Flag Fleet, one of the most powerful pirate fleets in the South China Sea. And in 1801, they married.
After the death of Cheng Yi in 1807, Ching Shi took command of the Red Flag Fleet, which consisted of several hundred ships and tens of thousands of pirates. She demonstrated outstanding organizational skills and established strict rules in the pirate code of her fleet.
