    It doesn't get any better than this!!! The sheer talent on that stage is off the hook from Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass to Steve Cropper on guitar is just unreal....Thanks so much for posting this this morning, I needed a shot of soul to get me going ❤

      That's like a Dream Team for sure!! I'm a total fan of Steve Cropper, I saw him like 20 years ago in Tenerife and had the chance of saying thanks to him for his amazing work. Also Lou Marini was here in the 2010s, another great performance.

      Duck was one of my Dad’s golfing buddies in the Memphis area, the club was actually in Olive Branch MS. He always had that pipe in his mouth even when he was swinging at the ball. He was a laid back quiet guy, basically just like in the movie.

      That's because Sam & Dave were the inspiration for John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd to do the Blues Brothers. First on SNL and later in the movie which has also Steve Cropper (guitarist) and Donald "Duck" Dunn (bassist) in the movie as part of their entourage

  • @TheWealthOfNationz
    @TheWealthOfNationz Рік тому +1

    Great song. Excellent performance. Sam hit it out of the park. Question for the musicians. Was Dave off key when he was singing the low harmony to "soul man" or is it just the huge contrast between Sam's high voice and Dave's low voice that make it seem that way. However, Dave seemed to be right on the mark though when he was singing " I like what you do...." at the end.

    • @bossfan49
      @bossfan49 Рік тому

      He was a bit off at first. They were a little older here and yes part of it is the the difference in natural registers. Dave either wasn't hearing right or just straining to hit the notes with his deep husky voice.
