Ok but the thing is .. when this thing alarm.. then the thieves found out it was just lock? With something that is easy to cut ? So they will cut it by scissor or cutter then throw it away? Right?? Hhmmmmm ...
Glad I just bought this to ride around with my kids at home and not for any real means of transportation. This would help to some degree but, a scooter could sadly be easily taken.
I intend to use this alarm along with a disk lock when i go into stores that dont have a bike rack. If u leave it by the window it gives u time to go out there and stop whoever is trying to steal it. Or if u have insurance video of the theft. Be safe and never use JUST this
Way too easy for a thief! A waterproof alarm inside the box would be a far better solution. Not that I’d leave my scooter unlocked, or alone for long. There are really good locks that will slow a thief down -- but none are Foolproof. So do the research - a U / D lock and brake lock are in my backpack.
Great idea but like they all say. .if someone wants your car or e scooter in this case bad enough they will find a way to get it. Only downfall I see is that some one can just cut the zip ties and toss the alarm or step on it after cutting it off. Wish it had more of a secure attachment to the scooter itself vs just plain zip ties.
Dope! Is this water resistant by any chance? Thinking of purchasing it and installing it inside the deck of my Boosted Rev since there's a nice, probably big enough space I can put in there where this will fit and be hidden
Make absolutely no sense to place the alarm on the column. It’s easy for the thief to cut the zip ties and take off... Maybe if you lucky enough (Lol) the thief can leave you the alarm as a gift. Lol... Please do not recommend anyone to install the anti-theft alarm in an easily visible place.
Soon as they cut the alarm and move the alarm it will go off letting you know which is ok for going into a small shop or using a toilet. Anything other that's further away yeah its useless with cable ties.
To all of the previous comments about this this being too noticeable or not enough of a deterrent for theft, this is a secondary means of deterring thieves...Of course you’re going to lock it up too...duh! As a legit question, will this device fit above the blue latch to collapse the scooter (between latch and where wires go into the frame)?
Yeah and any lock no matter the size can be cut with an electric grinder. Nothing is going to stop a professional thief. This alarm is great in a addition to a lock and will scare away the lazy thief with sticky fingers who most likely is just going to keep walking when it starts going berserk
Awesome idea!! Fantastic invention, needs a better way to secure the alarm because a thief would cut the cables, get rid of the alarm, and steal the scooter!!you should not only use straps, but use a super bonding 2 way tape or sticky connection of some kind! Second... my biggest pet pet with scooter and bike alarms is ,IT'S NOT LOUD ENOUGH!! NO ONE WILL PAY ATTENTION OR EVEN LOOK TWICE!!I t has to be LOUDER!!
For the time being there isn't, but we're trying to incorporate live GPS tracking for the future (seeing as these scooters are becoming used as a complete transportation solution).
What happens if the thief cuts the tie wraps?
You can put the alarm in the deck as well.
It falls off and the alarms rings
I would apoxy the alarm to the body along with the ties.
The only thing this needs is: led flash again and again when the alarm is activated

Motion sensored😅 alarm!!!😊

It's with a locked scooter to a post!!!

Zip ties seem like a horrible idea.
It's a great idea. Will be ringing super loud by the time they even notice the tiny alarm

Most thieves wouldn't see it until it starts beeping extremally loud. I like the idea of adding it along with a lock of course

Maybe install it inside the stem so they won't hear it genius.
@@911S If it's so weak that you can't hear it through half an inch of aluminium then it's too weak to discourage thieves.
@@HolybasilYT hey armchair expert.

So all you have to do is pour water on the alarm device of the scooter to steal it?
What a joke! You cut the zip ties and stomp on the alarm in 5 seconds

What if someone invents something that can cut zip ties?!?
Use apoxy.
I hear also of something call hammer a powerfull tool to smash the alarm
Apollo your scooters are great, but this is rushed and almost useless.
Isn't there a better solution, something related to our smart phone?
