As an English fan, I can explain why we have such a weird atmosphere at our games. The FA has kinda banned ultra culture all together, we aren’t allowed to bring flag poles in, are searched for flares and our grounds our built for jumping and chore. Its been growing slightly with some clubs, Crystal Palace have the best example but until the FA stop the bans we can’t grow our ultra culture due to the constant stigma of hooliganism and fights
Fiago is South America too far? However, I would highly recommend the basque derby (bilbao vs sociedad). It is heated and loud but the bond in the basque derby is insane too. Highly recommend 👍
Does the FA ban the 90 chanting too? can blame the FA for flares, but blame needs to be put on the English people too for turning their noses up at ultras culture for the last few decades.
@@ThomasDonnelly1888 we do chant most of the time. But it's more plastic to jump around and sing when the other team has just put the ball in the back of the net. Saint-Etienne is promoted back in Ligue 1 after 2 years. Historic club with considered the best supporters of France. You should go there. The biggest French derby is between them & Lyon, but can't garanteed if supporters will be allowed.

For Real Madrid it's like that because ultras were kicked out by Perez, which was a good decision since this group of ultras were racist and created lots of fights with the opposing team fans.
other than the racism the fact that our ultras picked fights with opposing teams was a sort of help to the team tbh, we would intimidate them in that way not to mention that they are ultras and they pushed our our team on, sucks that they had to be racist and all that but spain and france are known for their racism. we would have easily had the best fans if they werent racist and got kicked out.
@@RealJares So you're supporting ultras making fights at the stands? What about families that can be caught in between? Fights are always bad, no matter if they are supporting Real or not.

Love the show Fiago❤ I think you should go to a game in the USA to see the difference between the European Football Teams atmosphere and an American Soccer Team’s atmosphere (its big). I’m a fan of Chicago Fire FC and I will say the ultras are insane, but the stadium is probably too big for the MLS (it’s an NFL stadium). As a Czech fan, I would strongly recommend you to go to Poland. Last year in october, i was there on Slask wroclaw vs Legia Warsaw. It was insane, 40 000 fans, sold out, 3000 Legia fans and Slask won 4:0. In my opinion, best fans have Legia, Lech, Widzew, Gornik, Ruch, Slask and Lechia.
I waas there in ucl final. The Madrid fans were incredibly loud. The atmosphere was better than the Bernabeu, where many tourists visit. Here you can see real fans
Being a Betico is far more than the atmosphere at the games. There is a Copa 90 documentary I'd advise watching which tells you more! As for my own country of England, its a real shame most grounds don't allow flags in. As a Southampton supporter, I believe we just got something like the country's 2nd biggest club safe standing (may be wrong) so would be interested to see how the atmosphere improves at St Mary's (playoff semi showed it has potential). If Fiago ever comes to one of our games (I'd advise Bournemouth this season for the best atmosphere) I would be the happiest man alive! One question I always have though is this: from what I have seen it seems only the ultras sing all the game, and the rest of the stadium doesn't most of the songs, and only sings along with a couple, whereas in England we don't have as many chants and don't sing the whole game, but the whole crowd knows all the words. Is that really the case? Thanks, and I can't stop watching your videos!
Go watch Standard de Liège, they are the best fanbase in Belgium. I reccomend to see that against Anderlecht because they arebig rivals and then it is very loud, greetings from Belgium
You need to come to the Lisbon derby here in Portugal, Sporting has the best ambient here in Portugal in my opinion. You won’t find many flares and pyro cuz it’s illegal here in Portugal, but the atmosphere is incredible :)
fiago, go try something crazy and go see some lower tier games of teams that are trying to get back on their feet (for example in italy with catania and triestina)
I‘m from Salzburg and thought we ain‘t got that bad atmosphere, but then i was one week kn our capital with school and found myself pretty random at the league game Rapid vs Sturm Graz. Great game and mindblowing atmosphere

Try Sweden out before our season ends later this autumn, clubs worth to visit would be either IFK Gothenburg, AIK, Hammarby, Djurgården or Malmö for the best experience. We have the Gothenburg derby coming up later in september for example. A trip to visit our football culture should definietly be worth it.
Fiago you might see what my favourite club is (Don’t call me a fake football fan) But next season I would like to see if the atmosphere in red bull arena has improved (probably not but who knows)
This would be a great and one of an experience in Saudi Arabia, You should attend the Jeddah sea derby between Al Ittihad & Al Ahli it is the most loud derby in all of asia and especially Al Ahli this season the fans have been crazy! You should honestly attend it.
I had a pitch tour on my own at Sparta Prague’s stadium on my holiday and it was absolutely surreal learning about the clubs history and being pitch side!
Are you planning to go to South America in the future? The easy trip to see fans is Buenos Aires and Montevideo, everything is quite close and you can watch a lot of intensive fans in only a couple of kilometers distance. Maybe also going to Sao Paulo and watching Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Palmeiras and Santos, and then to Rio, to see Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo and Vasco, is for sure an elite experience.
If you're ever in the Netherlands again, you should go to some of the smaller derby matches. Groningen vs Heerenveen is going to be crazy with the former back in the top flights, and Van Persie as the latter's coach.
Its funny as an English fan, I envy aspects of German support but equally prefer ours (when it happens...) I prefer the spur of the moment chants to the constant "choreographed" ones. That being said HSV is on the bucket list 👍🏻
Do you think that those don't happen? There absolutely are moments where the hole stadium goes nuts after a master-class tackle or whatever. The 90mins-singing doesn't deny that. But we usually don't change the song according to the 'scene' that happened most of the time if that makes sense. It just gets louder and sung by anyone but not just the fanstand.
@UltrasRapid1992 makes sense mate! Would love to get over to a game, saw Frankfurt a couple years back but was against Hoffenheim, so the away following wasn't as good as it could've been
Fiago i strongly recommend Croatian derby between Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb in Split trust me it will not dissapoint last derby Torcida attacked Bad Blue Boys
Bit random, but if you are ever in Kent, England, go to Maidstone United. Despite being English, there is chanting all game, a sort of ultra stand with the flags and black amber wall, and sometimes flares and pyro (sometimes. The security people arrest some of the flare and ultra people before the game so no promises). Even after the Fa cup run, it has been better than some premier league games that I have watched
1:43-2:08 I was at 2 matches in England. One big club (West Ham v. Man City) and one small club (Leyton Orient v. Arsenal U21). Not a lot of support on both matches (in the short period between the equalizer and the 1-2 it was a bit better, but still not good), but I preferred the atmosphere at Leyton Orient, it was somewhat friendlier and felt less corporate. Also food and drinks weren't overpriced at Leyton Orient. Actually I ate a very good pie (I think Chicken Masala) for 5.50 Pounds and the beer was also somethng like 5 pounds, so cheaper than in most London pubs. Also the Leyton Orient game was only in a 2nd rate competition, even for a small club (EFL Trophy), while West Ham was Premier League, so maybe there is more atmosphere at Leyton Orient in league matches.
Go to the basque derby at either san mamés or reale arena. The atmosphere is absolutely outstanding. Both teams don’t hate each other and rather celebrate the basque and their uniqueness. That in my eyes is really special in modern football.
I feel like "best fans" and "best atmosphere" are two different things. Being a good fan means sometimes criticizing your club. It doesn't mean pyro shows and keep singing and being happy no matter what happens on the pitch, just like being a good movie fan doesn't mean having the most excited and loud reactions in the theater
At last someone gets this right. I love Fiago and his videos, but when he started the video by saying he was going to measure the quality of a club's fanbase by the loudness and the amount of flags and flares on the pitch I was tempted to close it. It is such a simplistic and superficial way to define passion. Like you said, an entertaining atmosphere doesn't necessarily reflect the true quality of a fanbase.
Let's be honest, a lot of those "best fanbases" and "amazing atmospheres" are sometimes just a collection of the nastiest, most annoying, disgusting, violent and/or intolerant elements of society, and a lot of them aren't even really there for the football. We all marvel at those insane atmospheres in Argentina and praise their incredible passion (myself included), but a few years ago when River and Boca (two fanbases that a lot of people, like Fiago, would probably say are among the best in the world) were playing each other in a Copa Libertadores final, something that was truly historic and should have been celebration of football and a massive cultural event for the country, had to be played over in FREAKIN' MADRID (!!!), at the other side of the Atlantic, because it was simply not safe to play it in Argentina, and I find that incredibly sad and embarrassing. Those are not great, passionate fans, those are idiots who ruined the oportunity to experience a once in a lifetime match not only for themselves but also for a thousands of other decent, real football fans, proving they don't actually care about the sport.
Bro what is with Frankfurt? The home games, including the home game in Barcelona 🤯You have missed the great times, but maybe you got a chance to see a Europa League Knockout match.
You gotta go visit French clubs. Hot take: French ultras are as good if not better than German ultras with Marseille, Saint Étienne, Lens, PSG, Strasbourg, Lyon, Nantes and even “smaller” atmospheres like Rennes, Nice, Lille, Toulouse, get extremely loud when they compete in Europe
Kaiserslautern is crazy, their fans did an outstanding choreography with a large depiction of a devil in the DFB Pokal final and it cost them roughly a 100k (Leverkusens was so mid in comparison)
As an Englishman living in the Rheinland I definitely agree about your ranking of Köln. I've been to a few countries to watch football (not as many as you 😂)and Köln can compare to anything I've watched elsewhere. Jealous of Panathinaikos, that's on my bucket list.

This would be a great and one of an experience in Saudi Arabia, You should attend the Jeddah sea derby between Al Ittihad & Al Ahli it is the most loud derby in all of asia and especially Al Ahli this season the fans have been crazy! You should honestly attend it.
Come to the St. Jakob Park in Basel to the biggest Derby in Switzerland, Basel against Zurich
I’d recommend visiting Coventry. It’s a smaller stadium that sells out often so it’s a lot louder. I go there every Boxing Day and it’s really fun.
If you will have time, you must see Baník Ostrava. Best ultras in Czechia, never silent, great choreos and pyro
Go to El Sadar, stadium of Osasuna. I think it is pretty underrated in Spain
The Etihad: N/A

I had a pitch tour on my own at Sparta Prague’s stadium on my holiday and it was absolutely surreal learning about the clubs history and being pitch side!
Please visit the Stockholm derby between Hammarby and Djurgården. Also Hammarby is friends with Rapid and Panathinaikos.

Can't make this type of list without any polish teams
If you're ever in the Netherlands again, you should go to some of the smaller derby matches. Groningen vs Heerenveen is going to be crazy with the former back in the top flights, and Van Persie as the latter's coach.
Real Madrid fans for 89 minutes:
Real Madrid fans after Real get's a lucky goal in the 91 minute: *omG hALA MaDriD, bEsT ClUb iN ThE WoRlD*
visit Slavia Prague it is something else
Would love to get over to a game, saw Frankfurt a couple years back but was against Hoffenheim, so the away following wasn't as good as it could've been
To fight the tourists, more Munich inhabitants should just visit the games and the atmosphere should be better
You have to see Roma at the stadium
Come to Budapest and watch the Budapest derby its Ferencvaros(Rapid's friends) vs Újpest (Austria Wien's friends).
Magischer SCR, du bist alles und noch viel mehr 💚🤍

Fiago i strongly recommend Croatian derby between Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb in Split trust me it will not dissapoint last derby Torcida attacked Bad Blue Boys
Pls go to a FC Basel game the Mutenzerkurve are one of the best ultras in Europe
Expecting HSV to be first in this list
Edit: I'm disappointed but HSV need to be in the Bundesliga. It isn't the same without them and Schalke 04.
But it's kinda funny how they manage staying in the league every year... 😁

FC Basel please😁
Nice video. Polish clubs have strong ultras sections, like Legia, Lech, Slask, Widzew, Katowice, Ruch and others nice ultras

Benfica also have one of the best atmospheres in world football they deserve to be in this list!

Very true @@LaughterCigar
Please head to Belgrade Serbia and go to Stadio Rajko Militic to view Crvena Zvezda vs. Partizan. Absolutely incredible match. Thanks Fiago ❤
Bro what is with Frankfurt? The home games, including the home game in Barcelona 🤯You have missed the great times, but maybe you got a chance to see a Europa League Knockout match.
He ranked only the clubs he visited last season and he wasn‘t in Frankfurt. If he would have been, they would easily made it up in the top 10.

You gotta go visit French clubs. Hot take: French ultras are as good if not better than German ultras with Marseille, Saint Étienne, Lens, PSG, Strasbourg, Lyon, Nantes and even “smaller” atmospheres like Rennes, Nice, Lille, Toulouse, get extremely loud when they compete in Europe
french ultras sing for 90minutes its very impressive but the league restrict them its a bit sad

Where is Kaiserslautern they have good fans
Kaiserslautern is crazy, their fans did an outstanding choreography with a large depiction of a devil in the DFB Pokal final and it cost them roughly a 100k (Leverkusens was so mid in comparison)
As an Englishman living in the Rheinland I definitely agree about your ranking of Köln. I've been to a few countries to watch football (not as many as you 😂)and Köln can compare to anything I've watched elsewhere. Jealous of Panathinaikos, that's on my bucket list.
As a Romanian, i recomand you to watch the Romanian Superliga
You mean watch Romanian fans. Because unless it's fcsb the football is probably unbearable
