Billy didn't/doesn't need Autotune because he's authentically good. Autotune frequently does more harm than good IMHO. It cheats the audience by hiding the performer's mistakes/inadequacies while also doing nothing to help them improve. This is NOT progress, it's just bad karaoke.
It is really amazing how he was able to sing this song in front of all those girls! I thought him being kissed by a couple of girls was so cute. He does have a sense of humor-see the clips of him being on Hollywood squares to see what I mean.
