I don’t know why, but the new callaway line looks like something that would come in a $600 full set bag. Definitely prefer the ai smoke look and will stick with mine and my GT 2, until I decide which one I’m gonna stick with.
The TM looks more appealing at the ball to me. The TM standard looks so much bigger than the Callaway. Not sure if that is a trick of the camera or the material. Just can’t see spending upwards of $700 for a driver that might get me another fairway or a couple of yards. Great review James!
I love my QI10 Max. I’m generally not a long driver but I am out driving my playing partners with the QI10 Max. I’ll try the new QI35 but not planning on buying new driver this year.
I love New Driver release season and the awesome reviews that come with it. James how about a head to head with the New Cobra Adapt X and the QI35. Keep up the great work James and God Bless.
Hi James! I’m most excited about the moveable weight in the Taylormade. The ability to take spin off the core model is very interesting…. I think that is more important than draw/fade moveable weight.
James, I just wanted to say, you guys do a good job on this channel. You've quickly become one of my go to channels for club reviews. Just Subbed. Cheers to 2025 guys.
Actually rather thought the new TM and Callaway drivers seemed a bit boring. Nothing new, just building on their designs from years ago. The Cobra I thought was really the exciting one, in introducing the level of customisation options nobody has ever done before.
Nice. I would put all newer drivers on the table now and just look at the numbers apples to apples. Start with Titleist GT3/2 and compare against these two. Good video.
James how about starting a table of comparative data showing the various clubs you’ve tested so far in the launch period. Then add to it with each release this year so we see for each new model how it stacks against all the others?
I picked up the LS models for both the Elyte and new Qi35. I took the shaft and weights out of the TM and put them onto the Elyte. That brought the CG down even more so I am now hitting low bullets that spin around 900 RPM’s, knuckle around and fall out of the air after 195 yards. The ball then bounces and rolls another 125 yards. I have just scraped off some of the TM paint and the ‘Made’ part of the logo graphic. It will be called the ElyteMade, look for a video and review on my channel once the glue dries.
Switched to the Callaway Drivers the last couple of buys.. Just getting better performance for me. The new TM driver looks AWESOME though. Might have to try it out!
I think for most, probably James as well, the core TM will be the money. It's already low spin stock with heavy weight rear and light forward,, and will go even lower if you swap the weights. On that note, is the Callaway core forward weight adjustable? Also assume their are various weights for the rear positions
Think we need to see club head speed in those numbers. Then we could see if the swing speed had any impact on the other key numbers - ball speed, carry distance etc. 👍Like the comparison videos even if Bob was getting tired 😴 😂
I honestly don’t know why i follow him. I watch his videos only when clubs are released and I cringe the whole time. Every video is the same. “New irons! But did Callaway make a major mistake?” Every video is the same.
He must have meant from the top? I personally do not like the grey. I keep my drivers for min 5 years. I would tire of the “space age” look after 3 rounds. But from underneath maybe James is blind??? You are 1000% correct. It’s not even close. 🤷♂️🤦♂️
after seeing your name it makes sense that you use a stealth 2+. those things are impossible to hit straight. qi10 is worth an upgrade if you dont get the 35
Saw someone comment how the Callaway looks like a driver you’d get out of a box set and now I can’t unsee it. The Taylormade is the best driver as far as looks that I think I’ve ever seen
Like alot of golfers i watch these reviews looking for the perfect driver. Most reviewers set their launch monitors for moon gravity and swing away. This review is pretty good in that regard. I saw a review yesterday claiming a 310 carry with 165 ball speed. That's a 40 yard exaggeration. Thanks for at least keeping it close James. But last year's best drivers were ai smoke td and g430 max 10k. For me. 10 hdc. Reviews on average said that. I just can't find the extra 30 yds.
while everybody saying there is no different from last year model, what about 10 years ago? In other words, I have 10 years model, should I switch? Should I buy a new one? Will I get any measurable distance increasement?
As a mid handicapper im more interested in how much further they go compared to older models. I play with a Callaway Rogue costing about £160 on ebay could be stealth cobra etc what do i get for my money
In my opinion TaylorMade this year wowed me like the new AI smoke did last year I am currently playing an AI smoke driver LS I'm definitely going to be testing out the new TaylorMade q35 LS the QI 35 if I put it in my bag it would have to be a monster
James, please test these two against the newest 2025 Cleveland driver. It would be a good comparison on that hole you absolutely hate, and the price tag would be more in line with guys who push their bags. Just curious as to how the new AI Hi-bore would hold up against them. Thanks.
think I prefer the look of the Callaway, Cobra is actually the best looking for me this year but i am waiting on the Elyte mini driver that's more than likely going in my bag this year.
It feels to me TaylorMade is almost going back to the R and RBZ days with the white heads. The silver crown looks good, but I think they’ll date quick. And I can find the light coloured crowns on woods distracting down at the ball, and through the swing. The contrast is too much for my eyes.
James, you should do a mass test of all drivers from the last 8 years from the major manufacturers, to see which wins. Using distance, dispersion and cost and forgiveness. Maybe I'm just too old and cynical, but to me, the last few years the drivers are just all same same and don't really offer anything new.
The Qi35 is the driver I was most excited about but I hate the new shape of the core model, and despite being higher speed I am not a high spin player so the LS likely won't fit me.
Would like to see the new cobra go up against these 2....be interesting comparison....Still...for me the GT series is the 1 to beat....loved the video boys😊
But, for a high handicap golfer with a decent swing are they so much better than, say, going to Clubs for Cash and finding a 8 year old Taylormade M1 with the same hozzle and similar weight adjustments. I imagine we’re getting close to saying yeah, but for a while now this channel and others have been promoting the value in used clubs.
It’s a matter of opinion. I prefer the Taylormade. It has a technical look which I prefer. I think I prefer the sound too. They are both probably too expensive until January…….2026!
I'd still go with a Titleist GT3. Callaway designer needs an update. Curb appeal has to be the worst of any brand. Qi35 looks appealing but I still prefer the Titleist. Tons of tech with the traditional looks 🤙
Not a huge fan of the shiny Qi35 hosel, but I think both look great. As far as the bottom of the club and the "curb appeal", that is just some commenters looking for something to complain about as that isn't visible to anyone playing the damn things. Want to know what is visible and a turn off to me, is Ping's ugly turbulators on the driver, they tend to throw me off as you always see them when I am actually hitting the driver. If Ping doesn't need them on any other club, they don't need turbulators on the driver.
The TM pisses all over it for looks. The Elyte looks like it’s from a package set. In fact it’s not too dissimilar to their ‘Edge’ package set from Costco. It’s even the same colour haha
I’m a Callaway fan, but the bottom of the driver looks hideous to me. One thing would have made it look great. All they had to is make the weight port black or gunmetal.
For me the Callaway looks a little old fashioned. The reminiscent to the epic series is nice but I did not like the design of the epic and same for the new ones. The recess for the weight at the back is a nother no go from my point of view. There will be allways two holes which does not looks sexy for me. Anyway, the more interesting point is the performance but this will be very individuell.
I don’t know why, but the new callaway line looks like something that would come in a $600 full set bag. Definitely prefer the ai smoke look and will stick with mine and my GT 2, until I decide which one I’m gonna stick with.
The Smoke is the best driver I have ever had. Excited to try the Elyte.
The QI35 to me looks so good. It's simplistic and clean. Clubs as of late have been to flashy and loud.
Why do you care what the bottom of a driver looks like? It sits in the bag with a headcover on
When I was younger and just swinging out of my shoes sound and feel didn’t matter. Now it most definitely is a factor in picking a club
Fantastic head to head James, I would like to see the Cobra go up against the big boys in a video
Cobra usually always edges them out just people don’t see a lot of the top pros in them so they don’t buy them
The TM looks more appealing at the ball to me.
Always looking forward to your morning uploads with a cup of coffee ☕. Thank you James for all you do. God bless brother.
Well done James, thank you!
Hi James! I’m most excited about the moveable weight in the Taylormade. The ability to take spin off the core model is very interesting…. I think that is more important than draw/fade moveable weight.
Correct!
The TM looks so good
James, I just wanted to say, you guys do a good job on this channel. You've quickly become one of my go to channels for club reviews. Just Subbed. Cheers to 2025 guys.
appreciate you buddy thanks
Actually rather thought the new TM and Callaway drivers seemed a bit boring. Nothing new, just building on their designs from years ago. The Cobra I thought was really the exciting one, in introducing the level of customisation options nobody has ever done before.
Seems like the Cobra DS adapt should be in this.
Add in the srixon zxi, the new cobra and the Titleist and and run the same test again please :)
They both look awesome. Like you say it all comes down to numbers ,feelings & looks
I think the Callaway looks a bit like the beginner set of Edge clubs with the colour ways..anyone else think that might put some off?
I picked up the LS models for both the Elyte and new Qi35. I took the shaft and weights out of the TM and put them onto the Elyte. That brought the CG down even more so I am now hitting low bullets that spin around 900 RPM’s, knuckle around and fall out of the air after 195 yards. I really wish I was one of your mates...free discarded 2025 driver, anyone? 😁
Love the look of the Taylormade, although I'm a Callaway guy!
Think we need to see club head speed in those numbers. Then we could see if the swing speed had any impact on the other key numbers - ball speed, carry distance etc. 👍Like the comparison videos even if Bob was getting tired 😴 😂
I was questioning if I should turn it off after 30 seconds. “Callaway has better shelf appeal than the Taylormade” 😂😂😂
I think the Callaway looks like a package set driver from the bottom and the head cover well don’t get me started.
Callaway driver just looks a bit cheap underneath and why haven’t they blanked the weight ports off🤔going to potentially get dirt in the head
Damnit not the comparison I was hoping for but it is the one I needed!😂😂😂
James, top level again. Will you or have you done a comparison of the new models and last years models?
How dare you Bobbi!! Thanks for the vid, can't wait to see what the guys at the shop have to say about them
That barrel body swing cracks me up every single time.... Also - got a different outfit on ever Chunk?
Gaming a Stealth 2+ and thought I couldn’t be tempted but that new Taylormade QI35 is sweet
after seeing your name it makes sense that you use a stealth 2+. those things are impossible to hit straight. qi10 is worth an upgrade if you dont get the 35
@ 😂nickname from junior golf back in the 90s. Stealth has been good to me so far
Saw someone comment how the Callaway looks like a driver you’d get out of a box set and now I can’t unsee it. The Taylormade is the best driver as far as looks that I think I’ve ever seen
Like to see the elyte and the qi35 go head to head with Titleist gt range
Titelist been tier 2 for drivers for a few years now.
@@kuzmania7603true in advertising but in performance Titelist ping and cobra are actually the top 3
Love my Stealth 2
Things alright at home, James? 😝
Like alot of golfers i watch these reviews looking for the perfect driver. Most reviewers set their launch monitors for moon gravity and swing away. This review is pretty good in that regard. I think you should compare every new driver to a Tour Edge C or E725. They have the movable back weight at close to half the price.
Once the hype settles down, I am interested in these vs the Titleists and Cobras...
how do Ping and Taylormade come up with numbers for their drivers and irons ?
while everybody saying there is no different from last year model, what about 10 years ago? In other words, I have 10 years model, should I switch? Should I buy a new one? Will I get any measurable distance increasement?
I think the black version of the Taylor mades will look the best. Who knows when they come out though. Hopefully soon.
The qi35 looks like a f-35 fighter jet. Its the lambo of the driver world. Love my Ai smoke, but will go hit both at a fitting for fun.
Wow, another new range of drivers in the 500 to 600 quid range, just a few months after the last Ping/Taylormade/Calloway/PXG/Titleist/Mizuno etc.
Would that be a metric f..k ton or an imperial f..k ton for windows?
For the handicap golfer 6 plus it really doesn’t matter you won’t hit it any further. It’s what appeals to the ball is sitting on the tee
James, please test these two against the newest 2025 Cleveland driver. It would be a good comparison on that hole you absolutely hate, and the price tag would be more in line with guys who push their bags. Just curious as to how the new AI Hi-bore would hold up against them. Thanks.

I'm looking foward to the qi10 price drop. 😂
Those two look to be within the margin of variance for swing and strike.
💯
Would like to see a head to head against the Qi35 Max and Elyte X
May I please have the Callaway top with the underside of the TM.?
Can you compare these with the ds adapt
It feels to me TaylorMade is almost going back to the R and RBZ days with the white heads. The silver crown looks good, but I think they’ll date quick. And I can find the light coloured crowns on woods distracting down at the ball, and through the swing. The contrast is too much for my eyes.
By all means test them all together but then also compare their same offerings from 5yrs ago / 10yrs ago and let's see what the real difference is!
The Callaway’s line look like they are the Costco bundle set
James, you should do a mass test of all drivers from the last 8 years from the major manufacturers, to see which wins. Using distance, dispersion and cost and forgiveness. Maybe I'm just too old and cynical, but to me, the last few years the drivers are just all same same and don't really offer anything new.
Cobra vs Titleist vs taylormade vs Callaway vs tour edge please!!!
Much prefer the shape of the Callaway. I don't think I could get used to the TM.
The Qi35 is the driver I was most excited about but I hate the new shape of the core model, and despite being higher speed I am not a high spin player so the LS likely won't fit me.
What's your normal carry distance with a driver?
Depends on the strike but usually anything from 230 to 280 😂😂😂😂
@@JamesRobinsonGolf ONE OF US
How many more drivers to be released, are they done? is it time for a 2025 driver knockout head to head, for high, mid and low handicaps?
One more BIGGIE
@ oh how could I forget Ping.
That little shiny bit on the TM hosel annoys me. That should have been matte too.
I wish you would’ve put the cobra drivers in there as well
I’m a Callaway guy, but damn that Taylormade looks nice as fk
Test them against models from previous years. The Qi10 could not put drive the sim2 … so why “upgrade” for less distance.
What becomes of all these clubs you test
Would like to see the new cobra go up against these 2....be interesting comparison....Still...for me the GT series is the 1 to beat....loved the video boys😊
LS and the triple diamond yes please
Like to see Titleist GT in the mix.
Best years yet, thats what you said last year
While ever we’re still here and golfing it’s always the best year yet buddy. Leant that the hard way last year 👍🏼
Time to buy prior years model at discount
But, for a high handicap golfer with a decent swing are they so much better than, say, going to Clubs for Cash and finding a 8 year old Taylormade M1 with the same hozzle and similar weight adjustments. I imagine we’re getting close to saying yeah, but for a while now this channel and others have been promoting the value in used clubs.
Ball speed in the 160s! Why only a 270 carry? At those speeds, it should carry upper 270s to lower 280. Am I missing something?
Covers never bother me. I always change them.
Wonder how they go against a 2016 M2
Didnt the Qi10 just come out?
Looks like Callaway had left over green paint from the Epic series drivers
I wanna know what he said that was bleeped out 😭
Gimme the Cobra LTDX for 1/3 the price.
Cobra needs in on the action.
I confess that whilst I definitely prefer the Elyte overall, the top view of the Qi35 is fantastic. A combination of both would be perfection
It’s a matter of opinion. I prefer the Taylormade. It has a technical look which I prefer. I think I prefer the sound too.
They are both probably too expensive until January…….2026!
Cobra is the best driver of the year. Sleeve is slept on and also over criticized at the same time.
Did Callaway remove the Jailbreak Technology?
its not technology, its engineering
given you living at 2100 spin with them models im not sure i hold your confidence that your fitting into an LS model!
I share your confidence lol
I wouldn't change my SIM 2 max for either of them
I'd still go with a Titleist GT3. Callaway designer needs an update. Curb appeal has to be the worst of any brand. Qi35 looks appealing but I still prefer the Titleist. Tons of tech with the traditional looks 🤙

Bro didn’t you hit 280/290 carry and 300 total with 2021/2022 drivers?
I’m fat, old, and crap lol
The callaway looks very similar to the pxg black ops
Spoilt for choice! Unless you've got a strong brand preference, can't really go wrong with either
Ballspeed 72?
The TM pisses all over it for looks. The Elyte looks like it’s from a package set. In fact it’s not too dissimilar to their ‘Edge’ package set from Costco. It’s even the same colour haha
Ok, I will buy one of them in thirteen months time at a 15-20% reduced price.
Were the huge claims correct? I’ve really no idea after watching that.
Then I can't help you mate
I must have missed it then. Can you point me to the time when you make the conclusion? Or should I wait until the next ‘Brutal Truth’ video?
I’m a Callaway fan, but the bottom of the driver looks hideous to me. One thing would have made it look great. All they had to is make the weight port black or gunmetal.

I have a panic attack everytime you bang them drivers together 😱
Neither I'll buy a sim max or Callaway epic 👍😂
