I really appreciate the contrast and similarities of Kira and Josuke Add that to the good ass feel of the song itself and you got yourself a great opening

Daimond is Unbreakable, An act in 3 parts. Act I- Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town, An introduction to the town of morioh and it’s bizarre inhabitants, but one user stalks this town and shatters the peace. Act II- Chase, The second act as the heroes desperately chase to find the Killer lurking menacingly within the town. Always getting so close, but still so far away from the truth. Act III- Great Days, with the Killers identity found out, justice can finally be had for those who’ve lost their lives to the Murderer, and great days will come.
All the JoJo openings are good at conveying an emotion, and Chase is no different Chase is anger. Not the furious justice type of anger we see in Chono Shino Sadame, or the driving force we see in Stand Proud and End of the World, no. Chase is an aimless anger, caused by grief. Trying to hunt down someone who's caused you pain, and not even knowing who they are.

I think Chase is just overshadowed by CNBT and Great Days. I mean, the song is alright and the lyrics are awsome, but bitch, with Sono Chi No Sadame and Bloody Stream as other Jojo's op, Chase gets behind.

Part 4 is by far the brightest and "happiest", but this opening is very dark, colorless and rough with the music. It really doesn't feel like a part 4 opening. With that said; I love Chase.

Didn't like this one at first either after Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town, but it grew on me. I didn't even like Great Days at first after the first few seconds. Most anime openings are like this for me, where I'm not into them at first but then I fall in love with them after hearing them over and over. There's a term for this that I learned in an audio class, but I can't remember what it is.

Yeah, it's not bad but I think the other openings just set a really high bar. It's a good song but in the context of CNBT or great days it just kind of disappoints.
The lyrics to the song go both ways. Kira and Josuke had a carefree life before they met each other Both are chasing something; For Kira a quiet life, for Josuke, justice. Both see each other as a demon, Kira ripped away his life and many others and josuke interrupted his. Both need to be quick in order to get their life back, Kira needs to be alert and blend back into the crowd and josuke needs to find Kira before he does that.

This one is more like a " normal " opening : that's why it is so much hated. It doesn't own the Jojo's spirit : an anime more and more crazy and wtf which is why we love it so much.

Chase is anger. Not the furious justice type of anger we see in Chono Shino Sadame, or the driving force we see in Stand Proud and End of the World, no.

I thought this OP was shit at first, and didn't really like it until I heard it completely a couple times, now I love it. I kinda feel the hate is unjustified but then again, to each their own.

I used to not like crazy noisy bizarre town and chase, but after listening to a while, I noticed I was listening to both for 4 hours
I fell in love with it the first time I heard it
Didn't like this one at first either after Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town, but it grew on me. I didn't even like Great Days at first after the first few seconds. Most anime openings are like this for me, where I'm not into them at first but then I fall in love with them after hearing them over and over. There's a term for this that I learned in an audio class, but I can't remember what it is.
the people that hate this opening radiate the same energy as the people that hate 90s Berserk opening because "it doesn't fit" and "sounds bad" and prefer that garbage le epic metal corny song from 2016 Berserk

This one is more like a " normal " opening : that's why it is so much hated. It doesn't own the Jojo's spirit : an anime more and more crazy and wtf which is why we love it so much.

Allow me to clarify something.
There is no bad opening. Maybe some are worse than others but they are all good. All the openings do a great job telling the current state of the story and hiding little details.

idk why i was never able to put it into words but yes, that is 1000% my experience of the Chase opening
and as a writer, listening to Chase when brainstorming helps me visualise and feel the anger my characters feel in a specific arc of the story that involves many friends dying
