Glorious!!! The fugue is utterly majestic and moving.
Magnificent. My most favourite interpretation
The Richter/Gavrilov collaboration on the Handel suites wonderful shared emphases yet clarity. recommend these recordings. very occasionally difficult to tell them apart!
beautiful .... really love this no 4 fugue.. really good recording, thanks for sharing
I have 4 favorite movements from the Handel suites: the Adagio & Fugue in 8, the Passacaglia in 7, the Harmonious Blacksmith in 5, and this fugue, and this might be the best of the lot. Brilliant performance.
Smuk seriøs og meget følsom musik. Smukt spillet i et roligt tempo......
russc2 you may be right re first movement. But there is still clarity, brio, and most importantly, music! Despite the tempo the movement is musical, not a carnival gimmick as with some pianists (including Gould on occasion).
In the picture above, who is the guy on the right?
Surely this is too fast - slow down!
