Thank you so much for these videos Frances ! 12:10 "From Dan to Beersheba" you might call an idiom of that time. People living back then would use it in conversation to describe a long distance. We today might say "from here to Kingdom come". It recurs many times in the OT...albeit there are a couple of variants. I should also point out in the OT you will here so and so went "down to e.g. Dan (or Schechem)". But when you look on the map you'll see they travelled north. Geographic direction did not factor into it what mattered was the importance. Jerusalem was center and all other site were "down to...."
