Been watching a lot of your videos since you started! I just moved to colorado approaching my second year of playing, it would super cool if the three of us could shoot and make a video.
You seemed disappointed with your third rack but sometimes when you get out of position all you can do is scramble and just keep making shots. You did that! Then followed with a break and run; you gave yourself a shot. Merry Christmas, Anthony! Enjoy a few days with family; look forward to future content!
Thanks, ref. Put up a good fight in this one. Can always do better, but I have to make sure to enjoy it and feel good when I can. Thanks for the reminder. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Shorty (although he is not that short), is a great player, keep to himself mostly. I watched him run a 7 pack in one match against Tony Robles and a 4 pack next match.
7:31 on the 8 ball or any ball lower you pre strokes a bit they’re very long and I see there was no pause on this shot. The pause will help you settle in on the shot with better tip placement and stroke
I would rather lose 0-3 than 2-3 to a 747 as a 540 fargo rating. One thing to remember in todays tourny landscape is that a bolstered fargo actually hurts you in most situations.
At 22:33 his shot selection is kind of weird to me (he shoots the 15 ball.) He could have shot his 9 ball and broken out the 13 ball. So long as he hit the bottom side of the 13 he would have had to have been really unlucky not to get a shot on the 14 (purple stripe?) or the 15, leaving him with a fairly easy out at that point. I'm sure he had his reasons, but he didn't even seem to look at it. Would be curious to know why.
@@BRAVO_FOUR_06-13 Definitely not disagreeing with you, which is why I’d why id be curious to know what his reasoning was. Also, pros (which I consider anyone above a 725 pro caliber) can get tunnel vision too sometimes. So maybe he just slipped it. 🤷🏻♂️
Thanks, this was a good effort. He's tough to beat. Forgot to mention it in the comms, but for a while the tournament director had a $50 Bounty on him which was given in addition to any other winnings!
Tommy (aka "Shorty") D'Alpnonso? If so I'd play him every now and then at a weekly 9-ball tournament at Renaissance Billiards in Quincy MA maybe 20 years ago. Even though I was in my 50s I was just starting to play after raising my family, even with the handicap it was really no contest at all. He's good. Does he still shoot with a Mike Webb?
@@OnTheSnap you didn’t shoot slow at all. That’s the perfect speed. You would have been fine in pro tournaments where they have a shot clock. You don’t extra points for being fast.
Hey Anthony! Just moved to Colorado about 4 months ago from Indiana. Looking to start my own channel doing similar content. Would you be interested in doing a race to 11. We could discuss more details if you're interested.
Come down to Colorado Springs for some of our weekend tournaments. We’ll get that robustness up.
Ah man, I wish I could. I'm maxed out on pool time as it is. I'll definitely keep it in mind.
Great video! Very good run-out in game 3 too. If you had a shot in Game 5, I think you would have pulled it out. Not too shabby!
Thanks! Tommy is tough - can't relax with him.
Good match. Well played against a really skilled opponent.
Appreciate that. Tommy is really tough to beat.
Where are you at in CO? I'll be out there in the middle of January.

Great effort against a really good player! I've been enjoying your matches and commentary, thank you.
Hey, thanks! Glad you like it ☺️
Where was this tournament? Tommy was playing in ri at snookers. Learned alot from him. I saw another commment about a webb. I play with a webb to.
Colorado. He's been out here a while now. That's awesome you know him and Webb.
@OnTheSnap well that's cool I've been away from the game for awhile. Since covid. When you see him tell rob diehl said hello. He's a good kid.

That's awesome. He's a great guy, although he keeps to himself he's very friendly if approached.
Nice thumbnail....747, lol. Good shooting, he looks intimidating.

Good feedback. I definitely got intimated by this shot after getting out of line, and my normal routine went out the window. The pause helps a lot!
Snookers RI has some good shooters. Also, those win's will help bolster that fargo rate. Good shootin.
Thanks! I want to go to Snookers someday.

Good question. Looking at it again, I would agree with you. Better to take the breakout early and leave the 15 as the key ball...
Not sure either. But he is a good bit better than us. He might have had a good reason.

You played well. Most amateurs would not have gotten 2 games against Tommy.

You don’t lose when you scratch when on the 8?
BCA rules, so you only lose if you scratch while pocketing the 8, or jumping it off the table. Other fouls are just ball in hand.
Tommy's second ball break is interesting. His bridge hand is on the table and the cue ball is away from the rail farther than usual for that break.
I've noticed that. I'll have to ask him about it the next time I see him.
@@OnTheSnap You might ask him what his aim point is. Maybe he aims at one of the other balls in the rack?
I break the same way

D'Alphonso
The very same. He spells it D'Alfonso. I'll have to ask him about Mike Webb.
Good shooting, but Christ, you guys need a shot clock.
Haha, thanks. I have noticed that I tend to slow down a lot when I'm intimidated. For better or worse...
I love playing people like you.. it’s a not a race. I’m taking my time and I’ll shoot when I’m ready

Bro you gotta ditch the wide angle lense or whatever this is
Ah yeah. This video came from the pool hall camera. My normal videos are not wide angle.

Why do you almost always say "we" when talking about yourself?
Got into the habit in my video game streaming days. It's supposed to draw in the viewer and make them feel like they're in the situation with me.
