    RED TAGS are on the lines of the Inflation caps. You should Have the caps on the valves to keep sand and water from damage. In this vid you can see he has the red tag on the cap lines and cap is hanging. Second. I used the Floor as a template and made my own hard floor insert to go on top and used Outdoor Carpet. Mounted some tie down points to help gear not bounce around the boat. Also its much easier on you feet standing on a solid platform. I take my wife and 2 kids out on mine all the time and fish the marsh and the gulf. Safe boating.

      I'm looking at getting a 6 horsepower motor to go on mine.... Do you know if I would want a 15-in shaft or a 20 in shaft?

    This is awesome! I have the same boat and just got an older 6hp Tohatsu/Nissan - looking forward to taking it out with the family. Seems like it handles well and the boat is pretty stable? BTW: have you looked into transom wheels or similar for moving the boat around?

      Yes very stable, I have taken it on the bay, the ocean and plan on taking it on the river soon. I've done a couple mods since this video and have considered transom wheels but haven't done it yet.

      @@sappfamilyoutdoors9676 very nice! I'm hoping to do a maiden voyage/trial run soon... Maybe this wknd. I just ordered a kayak cart that can be used as a seat. Trying to avoid drilling holes in the transom if I don't need to.

      @jplee3 I just added fishing rod holders to the seats and cut some puzzle piece foam mats to shape for the floor of the boat. I built a small crate that holds extra fishing poles, net, and other boat and fishing supplies that I always keep in there also.

    Hi great video!
    I imagine the kaboat is quite narrow- much like my Grand Argus. I am new to all of this and would appreciate if you can tell me what transome wheels you use? I can’t make it out from the video.
    I am told it is better for me to use C Tug trolley wheels which go under the boat and are strapped on. Thats because the narrow transome means you can’t have both an outboard and wheels.
    If that’s the case what do you do when you want to get the boat out of the water. Do you have to jump into the water and strap the wheels in place? Must be another way
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Sapp -great video. I wonder if you have done any kyack style paddling with this? I am looking to buy this instead of a traditional kyack because it has more space. Does it work as a kyack with paddles do you think?

    • @sappfamilyoutdoors9676
      @sappfamilyoutdoors9676  Рік тому

      It does work to paddle but it is bulky and doesn't paddle as smoothly as a real Kayak. You would not be able to paddle very fast at all

      @BillyTech yeah I set it up by myself. Takes me about 15 to 20 minutes to inflate and another 10 to set everything up to launch
