This is where I feel like the S5iiX really shines... For the type of filming that was done, feet stationary, shot framed up, not moving....the S5ii's STABILIZATION would have really made a difference here. I know that wasn't the test but, just saying.
@@TopshelfJunior yup! You’re totally right and that was what I wanted to see. I didn’t have an image stabilized lens either and the wind was kicking my butt this day. Didn’t want to crank the post image stabilization in either just to see the difference
@@eddie_g Thats probably the one advantage of UA-cam over something like Odysee, which maxes out at 4K(DCI)60p. UA-cam does 8K(DCI)60p, which is insane. People will say "nobody got an 8K monitor". That'd be true in 99.99% of cases (not even exaggerating here), but you will get a much better bitrate and visual quality so there is still a point to even take FullHD footage in a FullHD timeline, upscale it to 4K or even 8K and upload that because it will look better on UA-cam nonetheless.
@@eddie_g I see, because the cameras used in the 1930's did not have IBIS, and they produced great cinema, IBIS is not useful. I guess you never took a logic course. Oh, and don't assume - I have used many Blackmagic cameras. Gyro stabilization in post (daVinci Resolve Studio) could help these videos a lot. Do you know how to do that? Need a UA-cam tutorial? I do like the open-gate look. But you can do that with Panasonic cameras, which, btw, have great IBIS and 6K. And you can use Leica lenses. Thanks for a demo of how lack of IBIS ruins a handheld video (which otherwise looks nice). Finally, the new Sony Burano has IBIS. It is a cinema camera. The road moves forward. You should too, and not look back.

Very nice. What lens you used?

the simplicity of this is beautiful
Union Station has the most urban feel in Denver, which means it's right up there with the best part of Denver. Enjoy the new camera!
@@markimmersionfrancaise8308 yup pretty much haha. Especially nowadays it’s the only place with some foot traffic
@@eddie_g If we live long enough, we might see that changing with this week's announcement about Ball Arena development
What battery did you use? How is the battery life in your opinion?
@@mikolajjordan small rig bpu 60 each battery last just over an hour.
No upload in 6K?
@@disco.jellyfish ima be completely honest with ya, I forgot that was even a possibility or didn’t even know . 😅

Shaky. Lack of IBIS in today's world is a big step backwards.
@@markr041 ha I assume you’ve never used any cinema camera ever than. Over the history of cinema?
