This Chase Music is not only great, but it's also pretty unique while maintaining the pirate-sound that you'd expect from a Pirate-themed Killer. It's just solid
@adx_tya3029 Her full backstory isn't available yet at this point afaik, but based off her opulent appearance, the lore we can gleam from the add-ons showcasing her backstory tidbits of seafaring and revenge and the blurb given to us, it's safe to assume she is a pirate from the Caribbean (more specifically, from Jamaica thanks to her appearance and dialect)

I'm not a big fan of the chase music, but the terror radius theme has got to be one of the best. I believe one of the strongest impacts in music is the absence of a sound, so the rests from the strings enhance the music so well and I can't think of a single other theme that really utilizes that until now which is surprising.
The high piano note in Layer 4 sounds like Michel probably took some inspiration from that one YT channel who made a fan-made version of the Spirit’s chase theme, which then got acknowledged by BHVR awhile ago.

Lowk the best of the year, it feels like something straight out if a horror game it had me actually scared listening to it. The simplistic piano really adds to it in my opinion.
People forgot what happened to the alien, his theme on PTB was rubbish, it caused a lot of headaches and was repetitive, so they asked to change it and they changed it for the better and people really liked it, what's your problem?
Honestly almost perfect. The only negative thing I can say is that for some reason a part of me feels like the texture of the actual chase segment doesn't quite come together, but honestly it'll probably grow on me much like the Skull Merchant and Trickster chase segments did for me.
@GlassOctopus-e1k basically, how much noise is going on and how well it blends together. I think the accordion is a unique touch but doesn't quite carry the theme on its own as it kinda leaves quiet gaps that usually a bass instrument would fill in, usually brass as can be heard in Dracula, Nemesis, Vecna etc... themes.
so they decided to change the chase part on the live version and now its an ear ****. Just dont try to fix something that is already great. they succeeded on ptb and f'd up on live version. hope it gets reverted to this one.
32 meters is immaculate, no notes, literally could note improve if I tried. It perfectly captures the vibe of discovery and dread that's endemic to pirates, like uncovering a cursed tomb, and it ramps up perfectly. Reminds me a lot of the Siren's chase music from Spooky's, actually. 24 meters is cheesy in a good way, like a Scooby-doo pirate closing in. Perfectly fits the theme, even if it's a bit silly. I like the inconsistent measures as it continues, kinda like how Dracula's chase music continues but the notes are discordant and unpredictable. Still fits in a LOT with the theme of discovering dread, as seen in the 32 meter music. 12 meters really ties this together, making the previous strings more warbly and distorted and adding some echoey, tinny bells- almost sounding like a music box- makes this part sound like a pirate vessel just washed into town bearing a black flag. Absolutely peak. The chase itself is weird, but I kinda like it. I feel like the distortion is gonna cause this to get the "Ghostface Washing Machine" treatment and make the chase theme more pleasing and less unique. It feels fittingly odd and deranged, a very "huge monster chases you out of its forbidden tomb" type beat, but I fear it might not be the best fit considering the previous notes of dread. Also, the use of accordion is downright silly (again, in a good way) and using brass to simulate the sound of a dog's bark is a very good artistic note, very nice.
@Moghster6969 ye I was gonna say, layer 3 also rocks. chase isn't the best but it isn't bad, its just disappointing compared to the terror radius cuz the terror radius is incredible
I'm honestly convinced that Portia had this as her theme even when she was terrorizing the seas. Layer 1: "Hey, you other sailors hear that?" Layer 2: "Pirates! Prepare the cannons and prepare to broadside!" Layer 3: "Wait, I recognize that ship..." Layer 4: "Shit, it's HER! Full sail and get us out of here!"
The first layer has such a tragic vibe while not sounding to creepy. Second layer is the best, it's so intense and the tragic aspect is fading away for something more oppressive.
