  • In this video, I cover the Traditional Square of Opposition. Specifically, I cover the relations that hold between the different types of categorical statements. At the end of the video, I provide a little bit of practice to help you memorize the relations.

    This is a great video. Thank you for your content. One way to memorize the subaltern relation is to remember, "truth sinks, falsity floats." That means from a TRUE statement in the superaltern, one can infer the truth of the subaltern (since truth "sinks"). Likewise, from a FALSE statement in the subaltern, one can infer the falsity of the superaltern (since falsity "floats"). I hope that makes sense. Thanks again!
