I routinely pick Kirkland brand items over “name” brands. Realistically, Kirkland IS a name brand.
Store brands are basically brands. Just everything is on different levels.
I remember being told looooong ago that Costco does very little development of their own food products, and instead sample a wide variety of private submissions and pick the best - as well as supply a substantial package to the winners.
Could just be another tale. I never did bother to research that… Anyone else hear that too?

A Kirkland Car would just be a high-trim Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE, BUT they only come in a 4 pack. 4 super Camrys for $85,000 when the MSRP of one is $40,000.
Their dog food is better than any dog food sold in grocery stores and on par with the best found in most feed stores. I had been veterinary nurse for 20 years and know what to look for, for the price I want to pay, and Kirkland fits the bill, literally.
Being a dog, I confirm it.
Now, I want a $1.50 hot dog & drink while I go explore Costco for more finds!
Kirklands high end Vodka is NOT grey goose. Costco buys it from a company with not affiliated with grey goose. And I would argue is better because quality is more consistent.
PS Kirkland regular Vodka is also very good, and an extremely good value.
*It just doesn't have a bunch of reddit conspiracy rabbit holes dedicated to it.

I was hooked on Costco around a decade ago. Hell, I even use Kirkland golf balls and golf gloves. I have yet to find any kitkland product that I didn't like. If I was to complain about anything, it would be the package sizes. But, for the issue of product sizes like meat, we simply decant the food products into smaller vacuum storage bags and store them away in our freezer.

I practically live off their $4.99 whole roasted chicken. I don’t know how people walk past that steal!
They also make their own version of a product if the brand name sells well. Usually cheaper.

When your membership is roughly equal to the population of Japan (which itself is the 12th most populous country in the world), then you can do things that no-one else can. The scale is remarkable!

You can't go wrong with Kirkland. Brand loyalty just isn't what it used to be. Saving money is more important.

This might have been a good video, but I *really* disliked all the added pop and click sound effects. Very grating and distracting to listen to. Don't overdo your production, we just need the presenter speaking with occasional b-roll in the background
