- TOP 10 Sound Logos Audio Branding that I found composers (authors) for.
Unfortunately, there are some great soundlogos out there, some of which are my favourites but as I couldn't find any sources about their authors (why's that?) I'll have to go with these.

We produced the T-mobile logo at our company Mchale/Barone. Lance Massey was our staff sound designer. There was global competition for the logo, but when he played me what he had come up with, I knew we had a winner. 24 years later, and I still hear it as I walk around! Thanks for the memories. Great stuff Edward Soundmaker. It is all about creating an audio strategy. I have actually created my own channel to show more about audio branding highlights. Sound is powerful.

I like the one where it sutters indeterminantly to notify you that opening two applications simultaneously has overloaded your 32MB of RAM and you can now either wait and see how long it will be until the hourglass goes away next to your cursor OR throw the dice and do a hard reboot after which you may or may not have to wait 3 hours while Defrag goes over every square centimeter of your 80MB hard-drive so "efficiently" that you could fry an egg on top of it in a pinch.
...not that it happened very often.

You don´t find the sources because they are guns for hire and paid alot, a credit is a part of compensation package in movies, tv shows, videos - in many of those cases composers/sound designers would much rather have none to smaller screen credit for real decent money. For example credits are negotiated for font size, for length of time onscreen in first run, subsequent runs - you have all seen tv shows in which credit slate is turned sideways and small and promos and ads fill the screen - see this is not a useful promotional placement for any actor/crew/creative and is questionable when it is used. What they are called is negotiated also - like in actors upfront credits include "with". or before the main title of show the lead actor-s-, "a film by". after title and brief actor list an "and" or "as xxxx". "special appearance by".. This screen content presumptively has a dollar promotional value for the credited.

I’ve never heard of some of these brands, like West City Shopping? And ringtones are not sound logos.

Also there are more identifiable sound signatures out there. The first few you mentioned I had never heard of.
For instance, you could sound signatures just for gaming consoles:
PS1, PS2, N64, etc.
