je öfter ich es anhöre , je mehr gefällt mir Bach`s Musik, die jetzt zu Jacque`s wird. Leider hab ich Ihn noch nie persönlich gesehen. Das wäre spitze, das Trio noch einmal zu erleben.
It only took a few seconds and I was hooked again. JL has been my hero for so many decades now ... And still is. They are amazing, all three . Thank you !
I was very lucky to his live performance in Tehran University in 1973. God bless him. Will not see like him again. He opened a horizon never seen before.
Jacques Loussier has just died on the 5th of march 2019. Many thanx to him for the pure music ! "Somehow" I consider him as "our" french Dave Brubeck...
LE PLUS INCROYABLE, S'EST QUE BENOIT, AVEC SON BASS MAGNIFIQUE, JOUE LA CUICA BRÉSILIENNE, BEAUCOUP UTILISÉE DANS LA SAMBA. VIDEO FORMIDABLE...!!! Directement de Salvador-Bahia-Brasil.
For many years I was enchanted by Jacques Loussier's trio playing Bach. One of my favorite composers. If Bach were alive, he would have been a jazz pianist... I never thought that after many years, I would invite him to Matosinhos in Jazz (Portugal). One of the sixty-four festivals (jazz and blues), which I have already programmed in my life in Portugal.
De magnifiques musiciens avec un répertoire très étendu, allez-y, écoutez Debussy par Loussier et un magnifique contre-bassiste et un batteur si élégant...! Je n'ai rien à ajouter je ne suis qu'un piètre pianiste....
What a most delightful interpretation of this music. My heart is 'twitter-patting' with excess joyfulness. My Angel Warrior from the U.K. who introduced me to bands and music I never would have found on my own and a new friend for a couple years from London who does busking entertaining the public as they go about their mundane crap-o-lah tasks of survival. What a gift to man kind. Thanks 'Coy' for sharing this magnificent trio of Masters. I love the hands of the pianist shows hours and hours of loving tinkling those ivories the sound of the pure baby-grand full bodied and delicious sounds to my spirit. 9:21 as the tune begins my heart is singing. Thanks for posting such Masters. : -)
;-) The drummer solo is 'Magnifico....' I know because if this was not so I would have clicked away in a second. :-))) Awesome, Amazing for sure. Andri' supreme! :-))) He is having such a fun time. Love the soft drum-sticks gives that comforting feeling from a drum....that is showing a Master at work. Fantab-u-lous my word and I am saying it from my heart glued to the performance as I was with the piano. Then the stringed instrument brings its emotional essence to the table..... what a magnificent trio of Masters. Happy so for those that share these delights in musical masters that touched their hearts. So grateful!
The first track was something else with the unaccompanied cadenza by Mssr. Loussier in the middle section and then the impressive mallet segueing to sticksdrum solo by Mrrs. Arpino. Wondered where the quica sound was coming from only to see that it was Mssr. de Segonzac looking like he was having funplaying a quasi samba pattern with his bow high up on the strings :-) Quite impressive indeed!!! Got to go get some sleep, will have to catch the rest of this later.
thank you Mr. Jacques Loussier for your great and unforgettable contributions to the musical culture of our world. You have earned your rest in peace.
Jens Jacobs he’s not dead is he ?
@@phatman3573 he's still here. you know, I know and UA-cam takes care that he will be there
Grand Pianiste!
Será eterno y vivirá en cada uno de nosotros.
RIP Jacques, best french pianist!!! Lovely trio!!
You're right, but dont forget two other genius, Martial Solal , who is alive but old, and Michel Petrucciani, who unfortunately died at 37...
A great trio! I follow that trio since the first recording of the Jazz + Bach Toccata.
He realy communicate with the regard to his musicians.

This is THE WAY to play music. Vivaldi and Bach themselves would like this.
Jacques Loussier has just died on the 5th of march 2019. Many thanx to him for the pure music ! "Somehow" I consider him as "our" french Dave Brubeck...
I think that's a good analogy
As much I hear, as much I Love his Music. He didn't die.
