You should see the splashing oil after you've filled the machine with oil to the required level and have started operating it.

You're to use an oil specifically designed for industrial sewing machines.

You'll pour oil till it gets to the "High" indication labeled in the pan.

This is an oil bath sewing machine correct?
I heard that you have to keep the machine running at a high speed for the machine to work properly, is this true?
I'm a beginner and I am looking to sew tactical gear with materials like cordura and nylon. I have a choice between a Consew 255RB-2(oil bath) and a 226(manually oiled), which one do you recommend for me?

To the best of my knowledge, this is an industrial sewing machine.
You don't have to necessarily keep it running at high speed for it to work properly. It is designed to handle high speed sewing and longer working hours, however, you can run it slowly and it'll work very well without any problem. Hope I've answered you 👌😊 Thanks.

Both machines are great choices, and can handle both fabrics. I think you should pick one that works well for you.
      Thanks 😊
