He teaches this on the 3 DVD set called “Country Blues Guitar”, but it’s called “A Tribute to Lonnie Johnson”. In the lesson he doesn’t use a capo, or finger picks. You can buy it on his website. I love it. For me, it’s very challenging.
I agree. I sold that guitar years ago for about $2300. Amazing that they can ask so much for it since the bracing was shaved by Jon Lundberg and he had to make/design a new bridge. Lovely guitar though.
I guess this is only fair since Fahey did a song called 'The Assassination of Stefan Grossman'.
I can't get this tune out of my mind! Love it, including the Lonnie Johnson lick.
and the Mississipi Blues licks, too !

I remember having a video with this lesson based on the playing of lonnie johnson
I can't get both this tune and El's comment out of my mind! ステファン(Stefan)とエル(El)、二人のギターにしびれます。
I LOVE john fahey, but i don't see why he didn't like stefan's playing
In fahey's book he calls one of Stephans piece a masterpiece for solo guitar, and recommends two albums.
They were (kind of) friends. Two giants.
Nice!
@jwoodman It is a 16 inch euphonon, I wonder if Mr. Grossman still has it.
1:48 evvai!
Killer guitar - Larson/Maurer/Prairie State?
Euphonon
@vintageguitarguru It is for sale at lark street music. Anyone have a spare 45K? lol
The capo looks like an old Jim Dunlop to me.
