Good video. On Mace's hand it WAS a reshoot error. In Eric Walker's book, there's actually a picture of him with a giant flower, which is how he originally was supposed to injure his hand but they switched hands when he went for the thing in the tree trunk.
@@kidcardco thanks for clarifying Matt! That’s really interesting! I’ll need to get a copy of the book, I have far too many EU books on my list as it is haha. Thanks for watching and sharing I know you are a big Ewok fan 😊

@EzrasJunkyard no problem ezra I couldn’t talk about Ewoks without mentioning your channel, you do your part in preserving true Star Wars! I wish I had these 2 movies growing up. I appreciate it dude ! 🔥
I've got "The Illustrated Star Wars Universe" book!! I got it about a year ago in great condition for a great price off eBay!!! Loved adding it to my SW library!! Was a bit disappointed that it didn't include all of Ralph McQuarries' SW concept art!!
I thought it was interesting how GL wanted the second Ewok movie to be a bit darker, killing off Cindels' family and having her trying to survive alone!
10:21 just a quick note, 86 is a slang term in restaurants meaning “get rid of this” or “remove it from the order” it was likely just happenstance that it coincided with the year. I’ve been in America for a while and learned this waiting tables.
@@DickyReeves thanks for pointing this out! I will need to point this out in my stream tomorrow. That is more evidence of George’s involvement! I appreciate you correcting me on that.
When I first watched it, I thought it odd that seeing as how these movies take place shortly prior to ROTJ, how Wickett wasn't able to talk to or understand Leia when she talked, but in these movies, Wickett learned to talk in the same language as Cindel, Noa, and the others, which I presumed was Galactic Basic, but apparently was a completely different language, given how suddenly Wickett couldn't understand or speak to Leia, Luke, or Han!!
They also used real-world animals in the OT episodes, such as in ROTJ where they used real frogs in Jabbas's snack bowl that were supposed to be "gorgs/chubas" (as seen in TPM) and in ESB they used real snakes and lizards on Dagobah that Luke interacts with (he actually got bit by one of the snakes, too)! And in TPM they used a real tropical bird for Nute Gunrays' exotic pet, which was gifted to him by Sidious in the EU!
I acquired that double feature dvd earlier this year, in great condition off eBay!!! It made an excellent addition to my collection and SW library!!! I rather surprisingly enjoyed watching it!!
It was cool seeing a Nightsister witch for the first time in the Battle for Endor!! Interestingly enough, in the Holy Bible, there was a woman called "the Witch of Endor" as well as there being a real place called Endor, which GL used as inspiration!!
I thought the life monitor bracelets were a really cool and creative way to show the death of Cindels' family members! It's rather reminiscent of technology we have today, such as the "Fitbits" and "Smart Watches" and "Smart Rings!"
I watched the Ewok movies a ton of times when i was a kid. I don't care what anyone says. I enjoyed watching them and they still have a place in my Star Wars collection. Great vid, bruh.
Thanks for sharing your experience my friend!!! I appreciate the kind words please feel free to check out my other videos, only Lucas era Star Wars on this channel!!!
Wickett doesn't actually speak Galactic Basic, it's only in "English" for the viewers to understand it, they're actually all speaking a completely different language in universe!!
Great review! Thanks for referencing J-Man's stream. A bunch of us Gen Xers reviewed both movies and they were neck and neck in vs format. Battle for Endor won out in the final round. These movies are great and better kids programming than the Skeleton Crew. I remember sitting woth my cousins in front of the TV waiting for each of these to release as the Sunday movie when they premiered. Great memories! 🤘🍻💪
Yeah, the movies credited George for the story. I was pleasantly surprised with the Ewoks and his ways. There was a lot of the elements that are characteristics of SW, you know, innocence, to learn to work together, etc. I like the standalone nature of both stories. The idea of the Gorax and his hound was really great. The scale of the ecosystem in Endor is very Lucas, it helps to gain perspective that we (or the ewoks) are not the center of the universe. Many beautiful shots, some nice humor but also a very kiddish dialogue, acting, and the production quality of the second movie was specially low. But in any case, totally worth watching for a SW fan IMO. Funny how Caravan has a happy ending (I said “classic Lucas” I like it) and then in Battle most of the family dies 😓
@@battousaithemanslayer9646 wow great comment dude!!! Very perspective and I like the way you said they have a stand alone nature I get what you mean, I wish I had your vocabulary when writing my scripts!!!

@Star-Wars-Skran Gotcha!! Better late than never!! Haha!! My parents were adamant that I grew up on a lot of classics, like The Little Rascals, The 3 Stooges, Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy, Bob Hope and Bing Crosby, I Love Lucy, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, Charlie Chaplain, etc., etc., the list goes on!! They even made sure I watched a lot of old Britcoms and BBC programs that were being played on our local PBS channel in the late '90s and early 2000s, so much so that it caused me to have a subconscious "British" accent when I spoke to people, and people always tell me I don't sound like I'm from Alabama even though that's were I was born and raised and still reside, and the same with my family/ancestors going back about 200 odd years!! Hahaha!! I've even fooled people into thinking I was fresh off the boat from Scotland/Britain!! Haha!! I even had to make up a backstory to go along with it because they genuinely thought I came straight from Scotland, and I wanted to see how far I could take it!! Haha!! I also fooled 4 Australians into thinking I was a Kiwi/New Zealander with my Aussie accent!! Haha!!
