Wow impressed!! I love Cool gear like this. I’m using the Mackie SRM Flex and it’s great but the portability of this new EV box is amazing. Thanks for taking the time to do this review!
Congrats on 1k 🎉 Really want to get the everse 8 but I’m afraid of the quality of the eq for acoustic guitars. From majority of videos I’ve watched including yours, mic sounds great. Great review 👌🏼
Thanks! I don’t usually rely completely on a speaker for the EQ/sound of my guitar, but I will say I think this speaker does a great job and has some really good options to craft your guitar and vocal sounds. Either way you have to be comfortable with what you get so good luck!
@@thechristinedemeo Yep, it really depends what you use it for. I got the everse 8, returned it because despite liking majority of what it is, I just couldnt eq it to my former fishman loudbox (I mainly play just acoustic and sing). Ended up getting a bose s1 pro plus but even with the s1plus i'm not as stoked haha. Good thing is I can always use it as another speaker and link it to cover more area (im thinking farmers market) in the future. Have a good one!
@rapbisnar ah there it is! You’re chasing that heavenly sound of a Fishman Loudbox! Those things are legit amazing and I don’t think you can beat the tone/eq of them with either a Bose or EV
Stumbled over your channel due to your video on the EV Evolve 30. Scooted over to watch this one just for fun. :-) Glad I did! Nice to see a fellow solo performer and what she‘s using, and what she‘s singing. About the Everse 8: I have one, and absolutely love it! Also recently got the Evolve 30M, giving me the option to just use it (also as a monitor) or else add the Everse 8 to it for more punch and stereo, all conveniently controlled via the tidy EV app. Great stuff! Enjoyed your approach to things, so add another sub to that 1,000+. P.S.: What are your thoughts on the Evolve 30M vs. the Everse 8?
Thank you very much and I’m glad you dropped into the channel! As far as my personal opinion on the EV 30m vs the EV Everse 8, I think they both have their place. They are just completely different speakers. The 30m is my my main sound system that I use for 90% of my gigs because it’s usually big enough to cover any room I play. The Everse 8 is awesome for rooms where volume/space is an issue or just general portability. I’m a huge fan of them both. Love that you can add a sub the Everse 8 or use it as a monitor too! I switched from Bose and I am so happy with my choice. I don’t think you can go wrong with these speakers.
@ Thanks for weighing in on the two. Good to know your use case for both, which mirrors my own intent with them. :-) Also coming from a Bose (S1 Pro), I understand why you switched. Bose imprints their own signature on the tone, and while pleasing, that signature isn‘t equally suitable for all styles, voices, instruments, etc. The Everse line is aiming more at linear response, and the tweaking options are immense.
@@thechristinedemeo yes , my accomplishments are fairly underwhelming..😂😂 but I can make a bag if you’d like ? May take me a month or so to get to it and I’d need some dimensions on the speaker..
1000! Awesome! Congrats! Video was great. I LOVE the fast forward through parts of the unboxing. We can still see/hear what you're doing and how it comes out, but it's not dragging on. Nice touch. Good edits, too. But the highlight? The sound quality of your voice and guitar on Chain of Fools, outside! I'm assuming you used some of the onboard effects of the EV 8. But dang that sounded good. You could totally do an outdoor gig with just that setup. Speaker, mic, mic stand, guitar and two cords. Well, OK, I'd add a guitar stand and Ipad for words/chords. Great job.
Thank you so much! I put a lot of effort into my videos and try to keep them professional and neat. So I appreciate your feedback and noticing! As for the speaker…I’m completely blown away with this thing. I did use reverb on my voice from the speaker’s mixer settings and the guitar I eq’d from the pick up and the EV app also had an EQ patch for acoustic guitar. I also thought it would be a perfect little set up using just that speaker. L I’ll be using this thing a lot! I may even have to get rid of my Bose and get another of these, not that the Bose isn’t good, just this one can do more of what I want. As always thank you for watching and all the kind words and support! 😎🤘🏽❤️
Thanks for posting. For an outdoor gig, you still need power for you pedalboard. Do you have some kind of battery, like an ecoflow, for your other equipment?
No problem! I do not have a battery to power my pedalboard yet, but that is definitely something I have been thinking of doing. Definitely something I’ll have to do research on. I hear the Jackerys are good but not sure.
IMO I do think this would be an excellent upgrade. I have both the Bose and EV now and the EV has more power and a bigger speaker. Also it provides phantom power on channel one.
Wow impressed!! I love

Absolutely! 😎 the portability of this little guy is the whole reason I got it and I love it!

Sounds pretty frickin killer.
I agree! It’s an awesome little speaker.
Chain of fools was Fire! Those vocals...
Thank you! It was just the first song that popped in my head.😂

@scottbecker3485 yep! I totally agree. Very well said.
Great decision. Like most Portable PA's it has it's pros and cons but in terms of overall sound volume its hard to beat ..
I agree. It’s super hard to beat the power this little speaker provides.
Love your channel Christine! 1k is just the beginning for you I’m sure!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate you ❤️🤘🏽
@@thechristinedemeo by the way, I can make a bag for that speaker for you .. just need the dimensions of it .upholsterer by trade... it’s my thang..

I believe you can connect it wirelessly to another EV Everse 8 or 12
Hmm I didn’t know that! I’ll have to try.
Hey Christine compared to the bose s1 pro would you say its significantly louder and clearer.Thinking of an upgrade but seeing if its worth it.

mam made in usa everse 8?
