Man this is what I'm talking about, this is how you keep your car in good condition, not too many modifications, I did the same to mine, blue tip exaust and a remote start with key ignition also, I'm happy for his subaru, if someone wants to know how to keep a mint daily driver.
I love the simplicity. I blew my motor around 55k miles so I almost immediately began modding heavily. The outside being kept simple to me looks very clean! I am finally putting wheels on mine this summer, but keeping a slight drop and just a lip is SUCH A CLEAN LOOK! car looks great and it really is a great Daily Driver car!
I'm definitely loving this build. It's that balance between style and functional, same goal I'm aiming for down the road. When I picked up my 21 wrx, I got lucky and it came with a sti short throw shifter and their performance exhaust. Keep up the dope progress
Beautiful car, Kevin! Love the point about getting involved in the car community no matter what you drive. That’s so true. I’m pushing 60 and got my start 40 years ago with my university sports car club #TAMSCC and autocrossing. There is no age difference between car guys; we all share a common bond over the joy of driving. Respect for your build, too! I’m planning out some simple mods for my ‘21 WRX and seeing yours gave me a lot of good ideas. 👍🏻
Car looks great. I wish i had that self control to have not sent mine down the rabbit hole of aftermarket parts. Idoing head unit is the way to go for the OEM look and the wireless carplay is a huge plus
honestly it's just how people take care of them. I have mine and even though its brand new a 22' wrx with 22k miles, it's just with any car man just make sure you keep up with maintenance!
Yep! I've had my subie for over a year, as long as you change the oil every 3k miles and have your due diligence when driving you should be chilling. But there's always the worrying factor with subies tho, you give and take
Like all the other guys said under this it's about maintenance and how you drive honestly I've had my car for 2 years without any issues and I autocross it on top of that if you get into modding it is where people go wrong I think instead of doing everything right the first time cheating out on parts is what will get you in trouble that and depend on who tunes the car but I love mine and it has never left me stranded(knock on wood)
Just make sure the car has the stock tune and make sure no mods and all you need to do it’s keep up with oil changes and check your fluids every so often. If you’re looking to daily then get one with fairly low miles unless it’s a project car.
I think the roof rack just for looks is pretty funny. Roof racks are handy if you use them but I’ve never thought any car looks better with them than without them.
Becuase you do not know why they exist. The actual use is to purge the air out while filling the tires with nitrogen, mostly for race cars. Nitrogen is more resistant to expanding due to temperature change, thus keeping a consistent tire pressure under hard racing conditions.
modded? getting just the axle back exhaust and coil overs running a factory map is not "tastefully modded". Its your boy buying cosmetic aero, adding some odds and ends, buying Alibaba odds and ends at that, and zero performance upgrades. Enjoy your rev hang and overall slow, near factory car there. Didn't even get a AP with a off the shelf stage 1 basic bottom barrel free tune. Just wasted 10 minutes of my life I cant get back
@@Mdroudian Oh no, he can enjoy it all he wants (not that theres much to enjoy with a stock tune mind you). From the beginning I thought he had something worth showing however the only impressive thing about the video is the intro shots. That's actually what got me jacked in the first place. I thought I was going to see something unique there but it turned out to be more click bait then anything. Even during the first minute I was like, Ok so he got a sleeper here, can't wait to see what he's running under the hood. Well, turns out the answer was absolutely nothing. Who cares about window tint? But to these kids I guess that's a "mod". At least he had a single mod- the suspension but yeah, I stand behind my initial statement. Got other teens on here like "loving the build"... wtf are you talking about? What build? Its a stock car w coil overs and rims not even a broke crackhead would waste time stealing! It'd take me half an hour to list the parts on my 50th edition WRX. And no, I wouldn't bother mentioning stupid crap like tint or even my wheels since there not anything special. Now If one of the 3 sets of wheels I have were like some Avant Gardes, WORK Emotions, or some Volk Racing wheels that are actually worth checking out then yeah, sure I'd add them in the parts list but I got just some different enkei wheels so wouldn't even be worth listing. If this kid even had nice wheels I would of been like Ok kid thats cool. Now, if a WRX isn't making at least 350hp or have a body kit or something, anything that makes the car stand out imho you got nothing worth taking the time to make a video. Especially one with as good of production as the intro in this video was. Drone camera shot coming down all professional like, for a basic ass stock car that sucks to drive and is slow as hell. Congrats kid you'll get gapped on the highway by a Camry. Cool. Absolutely Ridiculous!
Just stumbled upon your Chanel for the first time and I gotta say I got a lot of potential keep doing this keep doing you and I’m sure you’ll get huge
I wish you knew how much this means to us. Thank you so much, seriously!

Just subscribed, loved everything about this video bro! I have a 2020 WRX and I’m also on the same boat with riding out the warranty lol!

I'm looking to buy a 2017 WRX and wanted to ask if the clutch is very hard to operate? I have heard some complaints about the hard clutch pedal . .
Sick car man, what front lip is that?
What size of tires he running ?
What spoiler lip is that?
MDNX throwing in some very tasteful exactlies, but my man with the Subie takes the cake. Even headers make everyone exactly exhausted...

My favorite has to be, "It's your car."
"Exactly."
Let me know if I missed anything!
I thought Subaru wrx/sti's are not reliable cars ? I wanted to get it as a first car but not anymore after people were saying it's unreliable
honestly it's just how people take care of them. I have mine and even though its brand new a 22' wrx with 22k miles, it's just with any car man just make sure you keep up with maintenance!

@@bz7670 I have to disagree. You need a tune to fix the Rev Hang.
Kevin from subispeed?
I had a VA WRX and honestly it felt too underpowered. Upgraded to the VB
Get some white wheels 🙏🙏
Never understood why people say “tasteful” to describe their mods lmao o.0
I think the roof rack just for looks is pretty funny. Roof racks are handy if you use them but I’ve never thought any car looks better with them than without them.
i had those wheels but i thought the dual air stem was pointless
Becuase you do not know why they exist. The actual use is to purge the air out while filling the tires with nitrogen, mostly for race cars. Nitrogen is more resistant to expanding due to temperature change, thus keeping a consistent tire pressure under hard racing conditions.
Kevin…. Lol
Can you imagine a convertible WRX or STI??
Never understood why ppl use “tasteful” as a descriptive word for cars
Stock tune? Bruhh
Ya’ll giving me gay vibes no cap g

Couldn't you just let the kid enjoy his ride. Damn.
