- "TriStar Pictures Logo History" made by TR3X PR0DÚCTÍ0NS, 10/07/2021.
NOTE: The "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" variant is from 2019, apologies for the text being cut off at the bottom. :-P
I had to remake my video from 31st January 2017 since it was blocked worldwide (the version I featured for the Lords of Dogtown variant had Jimi Hendrix music, but the one featured in this video has the revised fanfare from the 1993-2015 logo). If my original logo history video on TriStar comes back then I might set it as unlisted soon.
TriStar Pictures was founded in 1982 by Victor Kaufman, the American film studio is a member of the Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group. TriStar Pictures is a sister studio of the older Sony studio Columbia Pictures, and TriStar was originally founded as Nova Studios. My next logo history video will be on Fox Interactive.

I snort-giggled at the "Another You" variant... and then cried because of the precious "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" variant. 😭💗
6:54-7:01 it takes place in 1998.
From Mister Rogers Neighborhood
"Tristar Pictures, where anything can happen!" A logo from my childhood!
Thank You for choosing Joe Swanson Theatres.
Sony needs to make more movies under the TriStar label.
They're still doing them, some at a lower mainstream level, but they do. Their next movies are going to be the sequel of Baby Driver, The Nightingale, and I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Whitney Houston's biopic)
AGREED!
They should. So far, 2018 was the only year TriStar didn’t release any movies under the label.
@@Merdicano I know this comment is old, but I'm not interested in those movies. I'm more of a family movie and comedy type person. My favorite movies from Tristar are Beverly Hills Ninja, the original Jumanji film (for some reason Jumanji 2 and 3 were released by Columbia), Planet 51, Labyrinth, High School High, Real Genius, Matilda, and Madeline. Ya know, those types of films are the one I'm interested in.
TriStar is one of my favorite motion picture companies just because of how iconic it is. The Pegasus on the other hand, is mythical but yet it is majestic. Of the three logos they have a of 2021, I’ll say the 2015 is the best one. To be honest, the 1993 version came very close. Both the Pegasus and the clouds are white and heaven like. Such beautiful graphics for 2015 standards. Great video, TR3X! 😁👍
"Oh no the pegasus is gonna burst throught the screen and destroy the atmosphere by opening up a portal to oblivion!" My reaction, and i'm sure the reaction of many at time, when seeing this logo for the first time. I have to admit that logos with photorealistic CGI do scare me quite a lot at times.
Pegasus is probably thinking "SHIT!!! WHERE ARE THE BRAKES??!!"
The TriStar Pegasus... How iconic that was...
Of course, have a great thank you to Fabien for the video!
Superb historical retrospective of the TriStar Pictures logos!
Thank you very much for this nostalgic moment!
Good continuation!
Ah yes, The Pegasus that started my obsession with logos.
0:25-0:27 Me too.
Excellent logo history! These logos are such a classic! I remember seeing them when I was about 9 or 10! I especially remember the 1984 logo! The pegasus is a great role model! My favorite logos from TriStar Pictures would be all of them, and my favorite variants would also be all of them! I also find it funny how you censored the profanity in the Another You variant! *BLEEP* ing "white horse!" Looking forward to the Fox Interactive logo history!
Nice Video. I don't know why the 1984 & the 1993 logo scares people
But I like all the logos
@@KyOnBreak Agreed!
I don't know why either, I've never been scared by them, but if people find them scary, that's okay 🤷🏻
The 1984 logo scares people because of the horse coming out of nowhere and running towards the screen. It still scares me to this day. I usually just have to rely on sound cues to look away and to look back at the screen. Maybe it’s because I’m not used to it, and I’m used to seeing the 1993 variant.
They're quite too realistic in a way
This is one of the most famous of Sony studios!
Yes it is Logo Sony studio Logo
@@UnitiandZoeroosterbutterfly dang
Thanks for adding the information about which movies the variant logos came from. It helps explain why the studio made a variant (for example, the "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood" used a celeste/music box sound for the TriStar music because Mister Rogers' Neighborhood used a celeste for its music).
5:55 "Jumanji" (1995) is such a good TriStar film with the late Robin Williams alongside "Hook" (1991) because I have both of them
Awesome logo history of TriStar Pictures, Fabian bro!!!! I'd remembered seeing this logo in some of their films back then and they definitely have one of the best logos that I've seen, especially its orchestral music and the Pegasus mascot too. Also, I've never heard of TriStar Showcase before. If that division of TriStar is a showcase, do they show a reel compilation of their new planned films that have been commissioned to them? If so, that would be pretty cool indeed!! But other than that, if I did pick a favourite, then my most favourite logos from TriStar Pictures would probably be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd logo (and some of their variants too!!). But like as always, awesome logo history Fabian bro and keep up with the awesome work!!!! :D :) ;)
My favorite logos from TriStar are the 1st and 3rd logos. The 2nd one ain't bad neither, just ain't my favorite
Just a day or two ago, I watched your Sony Pictures Home Entertainment history, and wished you'd also make one about TriStar's movie logos.
Cool History Of TriStar!
Keep up the Good work!
Hey Lois, it's Joe Swanson on the big screen! Heheheheheheheheheh!
4:13 THANKS A LOT FOR THIS LOGO!!! I have only seen it in a movie of 2016 and I did not find any footage of this logo on UA-cam!!
"I Got My Horses in the Back"
Horse tack is attached!
Oh yes! I remember that Pegasus...
I miss the 1993 Pegasus. I really want it back
Well, they got the variation from its a beautiful day in the neighborhood movie.
In the Look Who’s Talking Too variant, the pegasus’ voice sounds an awful lot like the old voice of Barney
5:44-This is the most funniest part, in my opinion.
Missing: Little Secrets (2002). In this movie, the TriStar logo is double pitched for some reason. However, in many countries, such as Latin America, the music is at normal pitch. I remember renting the movie in 3rd grade (2003) and was intrigued that the TriStar logo was in high tone.
My favorite logo.
1984 to 1993 is my childhood!
I'd love to see them make a new version of the classic 80's logo where the horse actually jumps over the logo like they clearly wanted it to.
A short film, Titled “Cutting room Chore” is similar to TriStar, but it has named itself “TriSunn” and it shows outtakes
Honestly, in terms of CGI design, the 2015 Pegasus is better than the 1993 one. What bothers me about the '93 one is the face and legs.
I agree with you Samuel, before the 2015 logo debuted I noticed there was something wrong about the 1993 Pegasus (the animation of the Pegasus running up to the logo looks choppy too).
@@TR3XProductions1stChannel Honestly, if the 1993 logo were made today, the CGI animation of the Pegasus' final result could've exactly looked like the 1992 TriStar Pegasus painting (also used for the final TriStar Television logo).
This is a great logo history you've did,@@TR3XProductions1stChannel. These Tristar Pictures logos are great, especially the 1993 logo (one of my most favourites).
@@ManF3 me too.

The magical white horse with wings. Isn't he magical?
Pegasus.
This logo would always come up before the Sony Pictures Television logo at the end of a movie.
Nice vid
TRI star logo scene when my grandfather own it.
For some reason, the Carloco theme works well with the Tristar logo
1:56 pretty sure you snuck a Cannon Films fanfare beneath a tri-star video 😂😂😂
TriStar is owned by Sony now.
I think Sony Channel did a Plaster, because Matilda was going to be aired and the 1983 logo showed up instead of the 1995 version
Shadow as TriStar
Angel Lightning McQueen
1:38 TriStar plastered Carolco!
I’m not sure about those TriStar movies on Disney+
5:36
5:53 *BEEEEPPPPP* White Horse!!!!!!!
"Look who's talking Too" , It was Probably Goofy who literally broke in the Sony pictures Studio!.
TRI STAR logo reminds me of joe Swanson's 'joe theters'
8:23 Excuse me, who's belong this fanfare?
you forgot The spoof of the tri star where the fell apart.
0:26 Right Entertainment music
Horsey have Wings
2:42 its creepier without the byline
Wait, why the bleeps?
I’m assuming for Monetization.
@@RebelRemaker No... they were bleeped because the variant contained swear words, and most of my audience are young children so I don't want to give them bad influence.
I see.
