I add the black bars to create consistency with the clips... since some of them already have the bars but others don't. Keeps it looking clean without any jarring cuts between 21:9 and 16:9.
Hey there! I'm excited to work on a Gaming in 2016 video and wanted to hear input from anyone and everyone. If there's a favourite game of yours from this year, let me know and I'll be sure to include it. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in *December! *I'm going overseas for the last week of November and a bit of December so the video will be delayed until the week before Christmas.
Rainbow six Siege (was released in December 2015 but it would probably technically count since you release your videos on December). Paradox's Stellaris and Hearts of Iron (They don't have cinematics, but they are one of the better games this year, so maybe... somehow). Speaking of which... Europa Universalis 4 is my fav game of all time, so I just can't not mentioning it. There are at least 2 DLC's of it coming this year. (I know you'll probably won't include it, but I'm just saying that this is what Civilization series wants to be when it grows up. Maybe in their 100th installment :) Whicher 3 had DLC's this year - just saying :) These are my favorite this year so far. I'm not mentioning such games like Battlefield 1 or Dishonored 2, since they are not out yet and they are no-brainers to pick for your videos anyway
Tim Main Doom of course, Worms W.M.D, Both TWD Telltale games (Michonne and A New Frontier) Batman from Telltale, Uncharted 4, Overwatch, Battlefield 1, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, Watch Dogs 2 etc. :)
Thanks to everyone for watching, sharing, and commenting! All feedback is appreciated as long as it's constructive. I apologize for missing a few games that a lot of people were excited about, particularly Undertale. In regards to the criticism of only using cutscenes: Yes, probably 95% of the video is taken from story-driven or promotional cinematic footage. I just wanted to say that it's my style of doing things. Someone else might do it differently and all power to them. I encourage others to do something similar to what I have done in their own way, it makes for great original content and something that we can all enjoy. Alright, now I'll step off of my soapbox to once again thank you for watching and enjoying my videos; this is just a hobby for me and it makes the work I put in worthwhile when I receive such a positive response.
This is my favorite UA-cam video of all time! I have probably seen it over 20 times. Thank you so much for making these videos, I look forward to them every year!
Honestly brought a smile to my face after a tiring and fairly depressing day. Some great editing and use of music, the quotes were fantastic and the pacing awesome. Whether game play or cut scenes the imagery and the feelings this invoked from this year brought up so many great memories made while playing some of these, and really makes me want to play more of what was on offer. Absolutely great job.
Amazing edit!! I'm really impressed. I do wish you had included more indie games, but I get they don't have the same cinematic style and probably wouldn't blend as well. Great job!
+C43908 Thanks for the praise... I gave reddit a shot and it's doing well on /r/videos but I tried /r/gaming and the mods said it violates Rule 8 (self-promotion).
Set aside all the problems gaming has, it is just awesome to see our industry slowly getting adolescent! They always grow up so quick! :'( Especially imagining how vr could or will change gaming. Just can't wait what will happen from next year on
I can see you put some insane work into that but... it's a bit systematic... part with falling, part with driving, part with waking up etc... beside that I liked few cuts, they ware really matched well, middle part was my fav.
+Solanima I sorely regret not including Undertale. Sadly, I've been a little out-of-touch with the gaming scene this year since I moved to a new town and started a new job so things have been a little wild for me in 2015. Hope to see you again next year!
These vids are fucking awesome dude. Do you do this professionally? (i find it awesome how you find certain trends or tropes in the games and manage to compile them together into a group, too, makes it feel so streamlined)
Dank Potatoes I guess the style of the game would just make it kind of out of place but it still made a HUGE impact on the gaming community in 2015 and it still is. It's my favorite game and I'm personally a little butt hurt lol.
+Kevin Monson I did. I usually fact-check and make sure games have actually released this year before I upload the video. However, I needed finish the project and move onto other things, so I neglected to do so this year.
you just mixed together a bunch of trailers. this is an unfair representation of gaming in 2015, this is more akin to an advertisement, because it's a bunch of advertisements mixed together. all of the publishers should give you money for this video. bugs, glitches, grinding and waiting has all been part of gaming in 2015, and it was not given its fair spot in this video.
Thanks again for another great year. This is something I have been looking forward to see. Really thanks.
+Lord Convector I'm glad you like it!
I just noticed that it was 21:9, but youtube put the black bars on it.
I add the black bars to create consistency with the clips... since some of them already have the bars but others don't. Keeps it looking clean without any jarring cuts between 21:9 and 16:9.
I got chills 3 separate times in this video from the flashbacks of some great games this year. Great video.

This is my favorite UA-cam video of all time! I have probably seen it over 20 times. Thank you so much for making these videos, I look forward to them every year!
I'm glad that i'vd played 25% of the games in 2015 , that shows how good 2015 is in gaming , great vid by the way . Keep it up

+Kari Urtsakar Thanks Kari!
aw man, that was amazing! It's a nice feeling knowing that many of these games brought upon insane feelings. Thank you for putting this together.

That was exceptional. Very happy with the inclusion of Vermintide.
Man i always look forward to your videos of the year. They are just so dang neat.
Hey Tim! I hope we can expect a 2016 video from ya soon. Keep it up brother.
It's happening! Hopefully I can get it done for December.
What an amazing montage! I really liked the part at the end with the upbeat music that, in a way, is saying how amazing a year this was for gamers!!
Oh boy, this is simply AMAZING!!! Thanks again for such a great video!!!!!!!!
That was Awesome :O Nice cuts and edits
You only make one video a year, but it never disappoints. Good job, man.
+TheCrimsonSeven Thanks! I'll make a minimum of one a year, every year, I promise, haha.
I still watch this every now and then. Such a good video.
all of your videos are absolute quality this one included, great work man, keep it coming :)
+milly gribben Thanks a lot!

Amazing edit!! I'm really impressed. I do wish you had included more indie games, but I get they don't have the same cinematic style and probably wouldn't blend as well.
Great job!
+incrediblejonas Thanks a lot! I try to include indie games but sometimes it can be difficult. Thanks for your understanding!
This is honestly straight up beautiful.
+Jake Wojack Thanks, Jake!
Great editing and choice of music!

+C43908 Thanks for the praise... I gave reddit a shot and it's doing well on /r/videos but I tried /r/gaming and the mods said it violates Rule 8 (self-promotion).
You sir did a great fucking job man! Seriously good work!

That's so AWESOME!!
Nice vid! Keep up the awesome work. You inspire me to make better content!
Set aside all the problems gaming has, it is just awesome to see our industry slowly getting adolescent! They always grow up so quick! :'(
Especially imagining how vr could or will change gaming. Just can't wait what will happen from next year on
Awesome stuff!!
+UsedToothpick05508 Thanks!
awesome montage

+Neurotyczny Kot Thanks, always good to hear feedback.
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!
and I'm just sitting here playing Minecraft on my crappy windows 7 laptop on small render distance
Awesome; the only game you missed (that I can think of) is Undertale, but you pretty much included every other major release of the year!
+Solanima I sorely regret not including Undertale. Sadly, I've been a little out-of-touch with the gaming scene this year since I moved to a new town and started a new job so things have been a little wild for me in 2015. Hope to see you again next year!
Very well done!
+lex0r Thank you!
These vids are fucking awesome dude. Do you do this professionally?
(i find it awesome how you find certain trends or tropes in the games and manage to compile them together into a group, too, makes it feel so streamlined)
I don't do it professionally, although I think I'd like to. I appreciate the kind words, I'm glad you enjoy the videos!
This is dope.
TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
Fucking yes dude will you be making one next year as well?
+Mark Hipposter Most likely! I really enjoy putting these together.
Oh man, that ending.
tales from the borderlands! so underrated though..
sound track guys what's the name of it ?
+Ahmed Mohamed All songs are listed in the description.
Here's a hard question, How many of these titles are actually released as full finished games and not alpha/beta?
Amazing
Do you do video editing as a hobby or is it involved in your line of work; you seem pretty fucking good at it.
+Jordan It's purely a hobby at the moment. I'd like to become professional at some point.
+Tim Main I wish you the best of luck :D
cut scenes in gaming 2015*
Bootiful
Hi +Tim Main, can I embed this youtube video with credit on our homepage later this month? (igdb.com)
+Jake Cattrall Absolutely!
This was beautiful , but I'm just a little peeved that Undertale wasn't shown here.
+Preston Dixon the art style would clash pretty badly with everything else
E-P-I-C
there was only about 2 seconds of nintendo in there
these are mostly cutscenes tho
In an Era where the gameplay graphics are usually as good as the cinematic graphics.
cinematography does not equal gameplay. Hopefully its not an era but a standard
You need more subs
Possibly the best video on UA-cam if it had ended at 2:51
+Dank Potatoes That's always an option!
HERE COMES THE PAINTRAIN ! Borderlands is still the best thing ever :D Borderlands 2 though...
songs?
+Mordian Productions
Daniel Pemberton - Take You Down
Florence + the Machine - Seven Devils
Brave Shores - Never Come Down
Missing undertale but that was pretty amazing!
Undertale would feel at bit out of context with the other games no?
Dank Potatoes I guess the style of the game would just make it kind of out of place but it still made a HUGE impact on the gaming community in 2015 and it still is. It's my favorite game and I'm personally a little butt hurt lol.
Where is Undertale?
i like
What?! No Undertale?!?!
+Dyson Sphere Sorry, couldn't include everything unfortunately.
+Tim Main 3:15 But, you included Mighty No.9 which hasn't been released yet? Still a great video though.
+Kevin Monson I did. I usually fact-check and make sure games have actually released this year before I upload the video. However, I needed finish the project and move onto other things, so I neglected to do so this year.
Nerdgasm
CGI in 2015 ....
In an era where the gameplay graphics are usually as good as the cinematic graphics.
gta v pc?
+billy653 I didn't include the PC version of GTA V because the game was original released in 2013. GTA V is in my Gaming in 2013 video though!
Where is the true GOTY of 2015 : UNDERTALE
+A7M3DZZ Doesnt really fit into a high pace, high solution video like this i think, no matter how amazing the game itself is
This were nothing but cutscenes..
+Google+ SUCKS BALLS - the worst forced social network You seem very passionate about Google +.
Tim Main I couldn't care less about it
I don't like it either... They've stuck to their guns though which is pretty admirable.
