Don't be so surprised because in Dandadan the design of Serpo is inspired by Dada (an alien from the original Ultraman series) plus Way Big is also inspired by Ultraman (and all the characters I mentioned do a pose that is similar to Ultraman Spacium Ray)

The reference to that scene from Evangelion when Asuka asks Shinji why doors in Japan are made of paper and Misato appears right behind them was clean, and the reference to that part in the 2nd opening of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures when you can see a lot of hands reaching for the red stone of Aja is also clean.
I love how all the parodies keep Okarun's running sequence largely intact. its a really nice touch Equally, I love how mostly every cover ive heard thus far keeps the Hareita.. hareita into the second half transition largely intact as well

Crazy how a new anime can feel nostalgic. Sure, the op song has that melancholic melody, the endimg has a cozy feeling... It feels like the anime pushes all my buttons, and it's kinda sad somehow
Love all the references, mob psycho, Marge krumping etc but I always love it when parts of your openings are animated seriously and look as cool as the actual opening. For example the momo using her powers bit and the Okarun transforming sequence near the end. Stuff like that is always cool and as enjoyable as the jokes.
This is easily one of the best paint anime ops I’ve ever seen, it feels like it was made with a genuine love for dandadan and all the references were super well integrated into the op!!!
