    Here is an expert from the written review:
    After we praised the Sirui T-2204X tripod and gave a thumbs up for the K-30X ballhead in our last 2 reviews, it is time to test one of the company's fluid heads. Sirui has several video heads divided into two main lines - the prosumer line which includes the VA and VH compact fluid heads and the professional BCH line. All the VA/VH heads have a flat base while the BCH are 75mm or 100mm ball compatible.
    The VH-10 is the mid size fluid head in the VH line with an official load of 6kg (or 13.2lbs) while the larger VH-15 has a similar design and an official load of 10kg (or 22lbs). The much larger BCH heads have a very different design with more features and support for up to 18kg (40lbs) in the largest BHC-30 model.
    Let's take a closer look at the VH10:
    The build quality of the VH-10, just like the rest of the company's products that we have tested, is extremely good and the entire head is made of forged aircraft aluminum and feels very nice.
    Although the head is rather small it weighs almost 1kg (or just under 2lbs) and you can feel it in the hand. At the end of the day it is still quite compact for a fluid head.
    As we noted the official carrying capacity of the VH-10 is 6KG (or 13.2lbs), we didn't encounter any issues on this front and even with all the gear that we could load at around 4kg the head functioned very well. As for the counter balance it is rated at 2KG (or 3.2lbs) and indeed it was unable to handle our heavier cage so keep this in mind.
    The pan of the head is pretty smooth. However, there are two things that can be improved - first - it has no drag control so it is either open or closed. The second thing is that the head doesn't have a good way to lock itself to the top plate of the tripod (unlike the Sirui K-30X ballhead for example). For this reason if you try to pan to the right and the head is not 100% secure to the top plate of the tripod, you might spin the head instead of panning it - so make sure the head is really secured to your tripod.

    My friend; I believe you've got the arm wrongly attached to the head.

      Why do you say that?

      you have the handle pointed out to front of head instead of to the rear. your right side of the head is actually the left, and that front bubble lvl is actually the rear ;)

      Just tried it and I believe that you are correct! so first of all thank you (interesting Sirui didn't mention this to me - they have seen the video).
      Second this is certainly better in some respects but this doesn't resolve everything - the plate lock is still too close to the handle and the lower bubble level is still not super helpful (although it is better).

      Great to be somehow helpful "Amigo mío'; I did not reply earlier 'cause I knew you would work it out yourself. 'hasta la vista'.

    Fantastically detailed review! Shame you mounted the handle incorrectly, but we all make mistakes ;)

    Thank you for pronouncing the name correctly. Other reviewers tend to pronounce it as Surei which is really annoying. Kudos to you!

    If you are using a Siriu tripod, you can lock the head so it won't rotate. Look underneath the plate, it has a screw to secure the head! And you do have the handle backwards and on the wrong side.

      As for the handle- this was already mentioned (although of course you can put it on any side you want - I prefer it on this side). As for locking the head - strange that Sirui didn't mention that to me - I asked them. I am looking at the plate on the head it has two screws which are really uncomfortable to twist - I need to find a small Allen key and try again.

      Just checked it (found a small Allen) and yes it does seem to work well - there are two screws below the tripod plate - when you screw both the head doesn't move - perfect - should come with any tripod).

    Can I attach this head to Leofoto LB-75S ?

      Sure. As long as the leveling base has a 3/8" male connector you can use this head with it. Our unit is still working 7 years later (really fantastic head) and we use a leveling base.

    Flopping around all over the internet with text heavy screenshots is a terrible way to deliver information. As a suggestion, a simple comparision table would have been more effective.

    which is best this to the manfrottor Befree

    • @LensVid
      @LensVid  7 років тому

      This is just a head the Befree is a full kit (with a tripod). I only played with the Befree a little bit in Photokina so I can't really compare the heads directly but both are small and pretty basic but they seem to do the job fine (with some limitations - very little drag control or counterbalance).

    what is better? vh-10 or manfrotto 502 ??

    • @LensVid
      @LensVid  7 років тому +1

      Fantastic question - Manfrotto sent us the smaller 500 head which we shall look at later this year - I think that this one is pretty comparable to the 500 (has some advantages and disadvantages) the 502 is bigger so if you want to use heavier gear and have better counterbalance - go with the 502 - this one is more compact - like the 500.
