I just think that due to the fact it involves well, emulation, it had to be a bit more... underground(?) to a degree, because of the constant threat of a mass C&D, and the public eye has yet to catch up with the progress. I felt so seen by this even though I know it was just for a slide hack joke. Basically what I'm saying is is that this video is the most important thing in my life now. (By the way, I usually visualize Melee Fox and The Knight from Hollow Knight)
