I didn’t get the part at 8:25 that data warehouse data will be updated next day and users fire a query and won’t get the current data (or transaction data). I thought data warehouse is is historical data and does not get updated right away. So, why would users expect to have current data from DataWarehouse?
Agreed. This is exactly what the instructor is explaining too. Since it is a Data Warehouse, the data gets updated after a set interval. But in case of the topic in the slide, where you want the report at the end of Jan 1st, then the data update query should run every few hours or anytime before end of the day (Jan 1st).
