- MAGDEBURG: “If Germany wants war, we will have it!” Christmas market attacker threatened to go on X!
According to media reports, the alleged perpetrator is a 50-year-old specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy. He had apparently been an activist for years, reported the “Spiegel” on its website, which primarily advised women from Saudi Arabia on how to flee their country and ran a website with information on the German asylum system. According to Spiegel information, the alleged perpetrator was born in the Saudi Arabian city of Hufuf and came to Germany for training in March 2006. In July 2016, he was recognized as a refugee, as reported by Spiegel, which refers to an earlier interview in the Frankfurter Rundschau. In the meantime, however, he seems to have drifted in his activism, as can be seen from Spiegel's research. On his account at X, he openly sympathized with the AfD and dreamed of a joint project with the party, which is far-right in many respects: an academy for ex-Muslims. “Who else is fighting Islam in Germany?” he asked. In a video interview published eight days ago on an anti-Islamic US blog, the alleged perpetrator, according to Der Spiegel, expounds his crude theories for over 45 minutes: The German state is running a “covert secret operation” to hunt down Saudi ex-Muslims worldwide “and destroy their lives.” At the same time, Syrian jihadists are being granted asylum in Germany.
