Awesome video… I’m South African and I’m telling you.. the best inside centre ever. Had it all, and an actual good human being too. Played hard, was everywhere and involved in everything. His commitment on and off the ball is second to none. His Awareness, Intelligence, his reading of the game, al big with a deceptively fast pace and devastating power, along with his ball spreading abilities, makes him the best that that has covered that position. There’s been some great inside centres, but no one comes close to Nonu. Was a joy to watch him play
4:38 Ma'a has his eyes on the tackler while the tacklers view is obscured. An important skill. Eye's open before during and after the contact. Ma'a has time to think about how he's going to dispose of this guy with an obscured view. Jonah is the Master of initiating the contact. He watched a lot of tacklers come at him with thier eye's closed or obscured. Same with tackling however. Keep your eyes open during the entire performance. You guys like Kaino. He manhandled people. Not only because he's a strong bloke because there are many strong blokes playing rugby. He kept his eye's open.
Shot man! The most entertaining Nonu tribute I've seen! Yet to see a better 12! I still think he wouldn't of looked oit of place in the abs when he last came back. Great tribute all his classic clips with some lesser known clips, I like seeing stuff from Europe and Mlr. And of course it wouldn't be a nonu tribute without some big tackles!
That man is a cross between a brick wall and a locomotive! The moment at 1:36 was absolutely the baddest thing I've ever seen. Shoving his would-be tackler straight into the next approaching defender like it was nothing!
not the biggest, nor the baddest. not the fastest or the strongest. what you have is an athlete who gives 100% effort every play, and expects no less from his opponent. the end result is a true winner in life, not just a rugby contest

Thanks mate! It took me a while to find some of his old clips.

I might be wrong, but that tackler was (I think) Aaron Smith.
If Hansen had taken Ma’a and Owen Franks to the 2019 WC, the ABs wouldn’t have been muscled around by the English…
Amen
That try from 7.17! The power bust up the middle then kills the last defender with footwork at speed.
My favorite player 🔥
great great great..THE GREAT..
