Hi guys, I'm travelling at the moment so the audio isn't at the usual standard, but I thought this would be better than nothing. Will be back to normal soon!
The difference is very negligible. Cheers.
damn....The audio is alright,i didnt even notice lol
Your analysis didn't make it sound like a "tightly contested encounter". You made it sound like Chelsea didn't break their press at all.
Return with Man City vs Arsenal tactics please my G.
@@olusolapelumi6660 Thats what I was thinking my man painted the whole different picture than what I saw live. Chelsea was the one who was more threatening and more dominant. Before the game it was pretty much expected by everyone that Liverpool going to have more possession and will press better. But their possession and pressing wasn't really helpful in creating those good chances as Chelsea defence was already prepared for it. The most threatening chance they had in entire match was the one where James got red card , otherwise they were pretty mediocre.
I thought tuchel and Chelsea did way better than Liverpool and deserved to win
✌️
The last time we went down to ten mins we lost 5-2, this is definitely an improvement
the last time u went down 10 men u didnt have 9 men in defense.
Tuchel decided to drop back this time
@@saileshnaidu8102 that's why now they play 9 man at defense so that they wouldnt lose 5-2. It's just basic tactic broo. It's not always about playing attacking, its about getting point
Tuchel definitely prepared a plan for that since that first time. That probably caught him unaware last time. Additionally, then, they needed points to climb back up the table so you could understand why he would try to get them to try and score if he did.
@@saileshnaidu8102 and you have 10 men to attack, thousand fans in anfield still can make 1 big chance lol,
Liverpool look really good up to the point they are able to maintain their press. The first 15-20 mins of the first half and then 45-55/60 mins in the second. Once their work rate goes down, which obviously does as no one can maintain it for too long then they don't have much. With Mane and Firmino both off form, it leaves too much to do for Salah alone.
It showed in the game. Liverpool's best moments in the first half came in early and similarly early in the second half. As the game went on, Chelsea were the more dangerous side in the first half. In the second half, as the game went on, the best chances fell Chelsea's way, Lukaku's blocked shot and Kovacic's chance through on goal.
Woooo
This is the best analysis of the game better than the video itself
@Philip Hughes trying to counter liverpool is almost impossible. They were really just tired in the second half
@Philip Hughes I didn't mean Chelsea had their chances because Liverpool were tired. What I meant was Liverpool's press is less efficient beyond the time I mentioned. They cannot maintain the same intensity which is only natural. Once teams hold them out Liverpool give away more chances.
@Philip Hughes in the second half Liverpool controlled much of the posession but their best second half moments came early in that half when their press was on point. And like I said once that press isn't as relentless Liverpool tend to become toothless. After which they rely on their full backs crossing the ball into the box.
Klopp has himself said in the past that his best chance creator and his no 10 is the press. Liverpool's best chances usually comes from turnovers high up the pitch.
It isn't just that one game, it is how Liverpool play in general.
Good analysis
Chelsea defensive strength makes me to feel more confident about the title race
This was Anthony f***ing Taylor for the remainder of the match.
Tuchel was great. He made it right chance and made a simple chance in his defense and that gave him a point. Although I think Liverpool could have done better but considering the brain behind Chelsea play(tuchel) it was really a fare/tight game.
Come on man lucky goal and desperate hand ball to keep liverpool at bay and then low blocking with 260m+ of playing talent what a joke!but congrats on your champions league win🏅🤣
@@marksimons4108 lucky goal?even throughout the whole match chelsea had the better chances 😂before the red chelsea had more shots on goal more possession and after that you only managed more possession cause you always had a spare men and even then you couldn’t create 1 good chnace that’s why you had to resort to taking hopeless long shots even in the second half when chelsea had 10 men then managed to create 1 big chance whilst Liverpool the team with 11 men managed to create a whopping 0 big chances in the 2nd half
Chelsea's defence was solid!!!
@Rohan kamath A defence is meant to defend not score
@Rohan kamath do you expect them to go all out attack with 10 men

@@saileshnaidu8102 yeah like Klopp or gardiola would've gone full on attacking with a man down.
@@saileshnaidu8102 any fucking sensible and smart manager would have done the same as what Tuchel did...play defensive and wait for right moment for counter attack.....this tactic is almost as old as football game itself when people first started to play football when a team scored a goal, whole players would back down/park bus whatever shit you call i.e play defensive...if you dont know about football tactics than stfu.
@@saileshnaidu8102 instead liverpool should be shame they couldnt score a goal with a man down irrelevant to how chelsea played
Perfect example of how xG map is so crucial to understanding the game. That one corner sequence with Van Dijk hitting the bar, James block and the subsequent penalty greatly inflates the number. Like when Chelsea lost 1-3 to Arsenal under Lampard, we had a higher xG, but most chances came in the last 10 mins
Chelsea carved liverpool apart a number of times in the first half. Selfish play and indecisive passing prevented the final ball being the killer blow. I was waiting to hear your take on how that happened. I was left disappointed.
You're deluded
I am sure both teams were pretty happy to get 1 point from the game no mater how much fans fight.
not true. liverpool will be disappointed they couldnt get thru a 9 man defense
as a Liverpool fan I'd say contented , but definitely not happy

There is an enormous lack of vision for the runs of Lukaku starting with the match against Arsenal. The boys can't read the game to make the killer through ball. So many probable goals. I yearn for killer eye of Fabregas.
Agreed. I think this will be a learning curve for all the Chelsea long passers. It's a completely new option for them.
Thats where ziyech comes in handy
That has been happening since last season.
Werner suffered same, it was very frustrating to watch.
Mount cannot see I think is what what he should do
I think our players are also very selfish. There was that one pass in the first half Havertz could have played first time to Lukaku and he would have been in one on one vs Allison and that's the game probably done.
This is fascinating, battle within battle. Love the tactical battle between Klopp and Tuchel.
To be frank, I was waiting for your analysis work on this match. Over all the informations have been penned well, except there is one thing I would have loved you to cover or even would have made your analysis complete.
90% of your video is about a full squad but this match we blues were one man down and still managed to improve defensively. For folks who are following chelsea especially with last season's 4-0 defeat to reds, 6-0 defeat to city and coming to this one we chelsea have come very far away. I expected you to cover the second half much better like the defensive aspects briefly, still the video is good 💙.
This match could've been the "acid test" to determine the where each team is. Unfortunately, Chelsea going down to 10 man (whether fair or unfair) changed the narrative. Brilliant video as always, and looking forward for next videos ⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽⚽
indeed
Chelsea showed their defensive strength
👍👍
I honestly believe Chelsea could’ve actually wrapped the game up early.
@@edmilsonpaulo7811 i think so too
was a very tight match and Chelsea had so many clear opportunities if only Havertz or mont picked a pass to Lukaku then more goals could have been scored by Chelsea. Great work tho.
This lack of sight for the pass (forward pass) was evident even in the game against Arsenal.
As a chelsea fan, at this point, idk if it's because of lack of communication or just because of their ego.
Lukaku hasn't been at Chelsea long enough for Mount and Havertz to recalibrate. They wouldn't pass to Werner because he's wasteful. Now they have to learn to consider the pass.
@@neilcreamer8207 sure i agree
" We will build a team no one wants to play against " .... Tuchel walking the talk
when down to 10 man, lukaku's role is stay at forward and hold 2 liverpool's defenders with him...It make the game became 8 vs 8 man on chelsea side
It was a difficult match for chelsea, because they played against 12 liverpool player with one man down.
Liverpool had to be up against 9 double decker buses tho 😶 Chelsea can only win such games.. Remember they got mauled by Westbrom (5-2) when they didn't take this park-the-bus approach. Can't see them go for 90+ pts the way City & Liverpool does but we'll see
Anthony Taylor was man of match.

very entertaining match, i was rooting for Chelsea and they delivered.
If 11/11 Chelsea sure will win the match cose their quicker attacks is unstoppable than other clubs
Then y didn't they score when they had those counters
I think Klopp should have changed the tactic right from the beginning of the second half. Having watched the game one more time, I realized Liverpool tried to stretch the game by playing more on the either flank but couldn’t switch fast enough with robbo or trent arriving late to receive the ball on the other flank because Chelsea made it crowded wherever the ball was on either flank but left massive space on the opposite side.
In a lot of instances in the second half, Trent drifted more into the middle to try and create chances when Liverpool had the ball because he was unable to get space to cross the ball on the right flank.
I think Liverpool could have won this game with Keita on the field in place of Harvey Elliot. Although Harvey had a quite decent game he misplaced a number of passes that could have definitely created at least 3 goal scoring opportunities with the right decision and I think a more experienced player like Keita would have done better in those instances.
Absolutely,Klopp trusted Harvey too much for that game.Experience counts in games of this nature.Harvey could have played first half, and Keita second half. Also Robertson and Mane were poor.Tsmikas should have started. And Mane needs a strong challenger for that role.He shouldn't be guaranteed a starting place if he is not playing well
It was just a tad too early for Elliot. I agree. A Thiago or Keita playing instead of him probably could have won Liverpool the game. Plus Keita has a shot on him further out so he could produce a moment of magic.
but keita might not be at those places to misplace those number of passes in the first place. you gain some and lose some.
@@kbs5059 nah he would have had the Elliot role. Join the attack. His passing ability is probably better than Harvey's.
Chelsea already won the game if not for the red card.

@@lumiya4596 not trying to deny FMS's good efforts but you really dont need to be pro analyst or a coach to do this..you watch enough games and watch them multiple times then you will soon start to notice those patterns or players habits.
I noticed that Chelsea played on the counter that was extremely effective in the most part. This is one key way they play. They also work in a 5 player buddy system at all times to ensure there is never a situation where defence is at a disadvantage. The better opportunities even when a man down were created by Chelsea going on the counter. They were unlucky to go 2-0 in the first half due to last pass or shot options chosen poorly.
Great game to watch and definitely a game Pool should have capitalised on.
The first half was played At a frightening pace both teams were impressive
Despite being left-footed, Elliott is comfortable staying wide. That's pretty impressive...
A draw against Liverpool at Anfield, with 10 men for 45 minutes is something to smile about, well done to Chelsea FC
9 men defense and parking the bus is nothing to be proud off
@@saileshnaidu8102 yes if you are not a man down it's not
@@saileshnaidu8102 🧂
@@saileshnaidu8102 Your football IQ is terrible if you don’t think a 10 man team should play defensive and play on the counter 😂
@@Herondinho Chelsea pretty much played that the whole game. Even with 11 men. They had their chances because of counter attack. Not pressing much.
Tuchel couldn’t use the long ball in behind as effectively because Lukaku isn’t as quick as Werner and he tries to be physical with his man which didn’t work against Van Dijk
He was alone up too once they took off havertz so I can’t blame the lad, maybe if he just had Virgil to deal with he could’ve done something
@@MistaJackson he still had a good game tjo
It was definitely working 11vs 11. only disrupted by poor final third decisions by mount and havertz.
Tactical analysis on Liverpool did not include the breakthrough of Mason and Havertz which with a better decision in the final pass it would have been a different score in the first half, while the Liverpool system was not effective at all, as the goal was originated of a Chelsea error.
U seem to forget that Henderson could've scored from that Trent pass, if only he could control the ball.
@@therickyzegeshow Add Elliot to that who sent one to the stands
@@shakoor3218 Henderson's yes but Elliot's was nothing. Kicking the ball into the stands isn't a big deal. It wasn't even the least threatening.
Great video as usual, my G 🔥🔥
We would have won 3-1 if we had played 11 players on both side. That was my prediction : Liverpool 1 Chelsea 3
That was my prediction too. But, no problem. Another time.
That's stupid tho. Chelsea were wasteful. Just coz u create chances, doesn't mean u would've eventually won. Just ask City on the opening day or Chelsea vs Arsenal at the bridge last season
@@therickyzegeshow stupid is thinking that ever match is similar.
Learning more from here.
The only wrong thing that Liverpool did was missing chances otherwise they were upper hand all the way. Chelsea on the other hand did well when they were one man down.
I was waiting for this video
If there's any term like Moral Victory in football, Chelsea had it this time. I wish Liverpool had someone like Haaland who can convert half-chances into goals. Then Liverpool could be an invincible team. And seeing Liverpool's transfer this season, I don't see any goal flooding this season too 😔
I think Klopp took too long to sub in Thiago for Henderson in the second half. Hendo is a midfielder that is perfect for the pressing system Liverpool plays but when it comes to breaking down teams, he isn't a midfielder that can add to that. Thiago is someone that can find space in between lines and create passing lanes for others to expose. Nonetheless, Liverpool always struggle to create when teams sit back and don't allow much room to run into from behind.
Agreed. Hendo is the man to keep the midfield and forwards organized in the best pressing shape, but he does not have a lot to offer against a low block. Up a man, it was time to bring in Thiago, Keita, or Jones, right at half time.
I would also say Klopp was unnecessarily slow to take a tired Robertson off. Yes, starting Andy in the big game makes sense, but he was less than 100% fit. Tsimikas is in form, and his dribbling would probably be more useful than Andy's crosses against the low block.
great work as always guys
A tough match both teams happy for the draw, even with 10 players Chelsea looked more dangerous then us, Liverpool dominated the play having having the most ball possession. But hey man it would been another story if James was not sent off we’re LUCKY

I guess Chelsea is much better team after first ten or fifteen they settled well and looked more threatening it would be easily 3 nil to Chelsea if our front three were not selfish and pass it to the right man although I firmly believe we missed Werner darting runs in this match.
If not for Kai and Mount Chelsea would have been 3-0 in first half , Liverpool has the referee to thanks ..
Kai Fluked his goal so shut it
detailed analysis in a simplified way
As a Chelsea fan 💙, a point was perfect in that game
Klopp tactically was brilliant as always in this game, tho the way liverpool play whenever they run out of steam even a little bit they hv problems, plus the drop in the form of mane and firmino means that those individual moments of show or brilliance r much less now

Saul
@@QuanDev2 You beat me to it. There's the midfield finisher!
I think Tuchel should have played Christensen as a RCB and Silva as a mid CB. That way Christensen can easily carry the ball through Liverpool's press to break the press.
I like the option of using the flanks and looking for a runner because of Liverpool's high line. But Chelsea could have held the ball more if Tuchel had opted for breaking through the press the half spaces.
But it was a good tactical battle and I really enjoyed the first half. Chelsea even had the better chances by playing through their midfield when there's a turnover.
Do a Saul tactical impact to CFC.
He has been disappointing in midfield and Simeone had him playing as a LWB/ LB for Atletico last season and starting this season. Hope he can find his form that made such a good centre midfielder.
'limited to shots from range' reduces the value of those passages of play - look back at the December 2018 home game against Manchester United to see how shots from outside of, or on the edge of, the area can be valuable against the low block. Accurate shots such as those by Henderson, Fabinho and Robertson offer genuine goal scoring opportunities, plus the possibility of the 'keeper spilling the ball in to favourable areas, and deflections breaking the defensive lines for attacking players rushing in to the box all mean that shooting from range can be viable in some situations. Especially when players with the quality of Mané, Jota and Salah are looking to pounce.
Some of the shots liverpool took could have become goals. Because a few times Mendy spilled a few to the side and if Liverpool were braver with their Fullbacks a goal probably would have been created. Shooting with power and accuracy will create a chance whether its directly going in or the ball being parried in to other player.
The PPDA stat is cool but I felt like Chelsea were okay at beating the Liverpool press with 11 men but Liverpool were definitely the better pressing side in the first half. Would be interesting to see the stat for both halves, rather than the full game.
Chelsea could have been braver in keeping and moving the ball.
Kovacic and Kante should have started the game.
Liverpool bullied Jorginho
Pressing trap.
@@ryanfinnerty6239 can you explain further?
@@johntterry2222 they used him as a pressing trap, in addition to a lateral press, and counter pressing. Jorginho couldn’t cope because he doesn’t have the ball skills of a Kovacic/Thiago to play under intense structured pressure. So for all the time he gets credit of running Chelsea’s game, this is why they struggled for quality possession in this game. (Ps he also lost the ball in many counter pressing situations which led to shots and chances)
There is nothing glorious in keeping the ball with centre backs passing each other without any progess.
Liverpool had the ball but they were not creating anything
@@LauraLasan69 of course not they do not specialise in breaking down deep blocks, or deep mid blocks.

11 against 11 in the 2nd half, Chelsea would've won. The first half showed that both coaches had taught about how the opposition dugout deployed personnel. For Chelsea to contain all the Liverpool pressing and possession in front of their fans for 45 minutes was quite interesting. Wish Taylor would have contained himself in this match. His inconsistency, or should I say consistent "bad blood" against Chelsea, nearly ruined a good match. This is going to be an interesting season.

Tuchel, I think, tactically overcame Klopp. In Positional game Liverpool made little danger to Chelsea while even with ten players Chelsea were making more dangerous attacks.
Tuchel's brain is like clock, it works without any pause. I am fan of Manchester City(Pep Guardiola), and I see only Tuchel as an obstacle to City.
Nah dude Klopp has Tuchels number for sure. They pressed their middle of the pitch possession like a motherfucker, Tuchel done the obvious thing to defend central with a back 3 who can aerially beat Liverpool’s front 3. Klopp is an incredible big game manager
did you even watch the game?... Alisson was bored at his post most of the time.. i give to chelsea's defense and GK, but to say they were more dangerous is a joke. VVD and Matip had Lukaku in their pockets.
@@ryanfinnerty6239 LOL....No way mate, that was a big game and Tuchel, I can argue, came out tops. That obvious thing you're talking about is the same thing that Klopp had no answer to.
Disappointing result from a Liverpool perspective. The result will probably give Chelsea a mentality boost and knock Liverpool’s confidence in attacking a bit.
It's not that disappointing, u see their 100m striker Lukaku was pocketed by van Dijk ... 🤡🤡🤡
Liverpool did well in countering Chelsea’s tactics but did not capitalize in some occasions. Even game from both parties as Liverpool dominate in the first 15 and last 10 minutes while Chelsea created some threatening chances between Liverpool’s spell.
Imo Lukaku's presence in the Chelsea side will mean they will have less of the ball in big games due to them using a low block , as Werner is a much better presser than Lukaku.
Us going down to 10 men definitely made it harder for Liverpool
The only positive thing with the reds was their pressing system. And gg to Chelsea for the impenetrable defense.

Why didn’t you cover how Chelsea would dispossess Liverpool and hit them hard on the counter? Game could have been over in the first half if not for poor finishing. You made it seem like it was so easy for Liverpool before the sending off.
Park the bus before the red card. Chelsea created one clear chance from the counter and scored 1 fluke goal off a corner. Liverpool had the better chances and couldn't finish it off.

I didn't watch this game, but I can say Liverpool missed the chance on a counter when Henderson couldn't connect with the ball in Chelsea's 18 yard.
From this analysis, Liverpool's pressing was perfect, but football is much than this, example,
Chelsea should have been 0-3 up had Mount given a simple selfless pass to Havertz or had havertz released Lukaku with a simple pass for 1 on 1 with Alisson.
I was happy Chelsea got a draw, but when I saw those two moments, I was extremely sad. I feel this is a loss.

Through this I see why werner could've been important
Chelsea have a really good squad....but the real test of them as title contenders will come near Christmas time....when games will come thick and fast so don't be too optimistic early on....
To be fair our love for Chelsea grows every day but realistically there's no guarantee that we could have won the match if it was 11 vs 11 remember we were at Anfield Liverpool were starting to press high n creating numerous chances they got rewarded in the end which meant Chelsea had to change their approach 2nd switching to 5-3-1 becoming tighter in spaces n impenetrable in the last 18 yard otherwise the game could have gone anywhere 11 vs 11
Chelsea are literally parking the bus but scoring with low number of shots, not taking about the Liverpool game but against others as well. The problem comes in when the scoring stops. But Lukaku is a good striker so I think they're set for this season

How come you didn’t talk about the sending off and the difference between the game in the first and second half?
11v11 because the ref was on Chelsea's side. You definitely didn't watch that game. Liverpool created the bigger chances. Henderson, Elliot and then Reece tried to become a goalkeeper. That would be 3-1 and game done. Chelsea scored a fluke goal and then created one clear chance and the quiet the rest of the game.
