Stats are based on league, club and form. All professional footballers can ping 40 yard passes and hit top corners in empty goals etc.

There's still some slight differences in how perfectly they can do these things. Messi could probably hit the same shot from just outside the box 10 times with about 5cm of deviation, whereas for a lower tier pro it would be more.
realistically he’s deserving of a higher rating, he’s just rated that low because players in lower divisions never get proper recognition from EA. this bloke’s a player

The difference between division levels is all about pace. How quickly you can process the information and how quickly you can carry it out. The better players do it at a much higher pace

Guys, you got to keep in mind that most professional players, even defenders, are able to do this kind of stuff in training. This is far from being valid from a scientist point of view as you remove all variables that come across in a real situation, such as opponent pressure, quick decision making or tiredness. Nice skills tho !

Exactly. For example, there's a clip of kocheilny hitting a rabona in the top conner from outside the box, yet in an actual game he would suck at finishing chances. Bet he can't do these consistently in a game.

In real life an "overall" doesn't make much sense, it's just a game thing to separate better players from worse ones. Every professional footballer can do things that us amateurs can't, that's why they're pros. But football is so competitive that we have incredibly good players that just don't stand out in face of other good players. There's also factors like mental, emotional and social skills that may make it or break it for an athlete. Plus, this game is very very dynamic. A player can have a "85 overall" season followed by a "68 overall season". That being said, the overall thing doesn't make sense outside of videogames. A player's individual quality is not that easily quantified.

i mean, even in fifa the overall doesnt really count for squat if you're using the player wrong. if you're playing messi as a cb (extreme example), you're gonna get a shit performance from him, but even something like playing ansu fati as a wide winger or smthn like that. fifa mainly just does it to make the differences between different tiers of player more obvious

I highly doubt ea representatives actually sat down and reviewed a lot of these league 2 players, I’m guessing they either watch like one or two games at most but most likely make inferred estimations on what they think the ratings are
@@lpxntherl4514 exactly. When a player plays on the inferior leagues they automatically receive a lower rating. When they go to a major club their overall goes high.

It's his technique. because that type of shot is more harder for Goalkeepers to save. I think you have noticed that Leo Messi too takes this type of shot.

EA can't really make a detailed research on every player so they probably just watch them play for like 5 minutes and then put the stats

This is why FMs star based rating system is much better as a player's ability can only really be defined relative to other player's. This guy looks amazing and i would give him a 4 star rating for championship level but relative to peenier league players it's around 2.5 stars

Shooting with 0 Defence, Goal Keeper, pressure, formation, of course it make you shoot better, any professional footballer can do that in training, playing official match is a different thing (even Defence and Goal Keeper may do it as well).

FIFA Rating is based on in game ability, everyone performs well or good in training without the pressure. The stats are based on how consistently you perform on the pitch during a real high stake game.

Maybe show some game footage and examples of the techniques for ratings.. or at least put a keeper in for shooting, 1v1 etc and have him compete against another rated player. I used to play for Orsham Town!

It's not surprised to do the moves as all professional players can do. Real stats should also consider the performance under the pressure from world class defender and opponents.

3:05 my friend juggling the ball in a fancy way isn't how FIFA rates skill set. It basically means how skillful you are while dribbling the ball with your feet, like eg- Neymar, Ronaldo, etc. I think that's what skill set means.
