"columbus ga rappers" "columbus ga gangs" "columbus ga ghetto" "columbus ga rap" "phenix city documentary"
I stumbled on to this piece. Initially, I was turned off...but i kept watching...and I was very surprised about some of the very philosophical messages. This was a great piece. I care about Columbus...we all do. Very good message contained within. I'm here to stay and I want to make Columbus a great city for EVERYONE!!!
I'm from Cali but my husband rest in peace is from Columbus GA..southside) I will always have love for Columbus..
What part of the south side your husband was from because I’m from south side of Columbus and sorry for your loss
@@dawgman5361 right over in the Clover Lane area
@@dawgman5361 and thank you for the condolences, God bless you.
🙏🏾 I'm also from the south side.
good information. we got to control the businesses in our neighborhood. especially barbershop & beauty supply store, but most importantly there must be a grocery store no matter how small but there must be a food distribution network.
don't forget about selling drugs and breaking in to homes. I hear that's pretty good money.
carl gustav hmm or maybe shooting up schools and movie theaters, or being addicted to every drug known to man. Isn't that what you whites do?
garry gaston truth on his azz! Lol
@@james19X clown in the flesh right here 🤡
Nice, it's only four years old.
I am from this city... Great memories #PeabodyForLife
Man Columbus Ga not no real bad area. I dunno why niggas love to Glorify Hood life. Columbus Ga is a beautiful city. Definitely sectioned off. There's neighborhoods off Victory Dr that can get rough. Ft Benning Road got some hoods. Cusseta Road is a rough area. COLUMBUS Has Good parts as well. Go by the airport, or near Peachtree Mall or Midland. These area nice areas.
Midland about the only half decent place left.
Exactly
Exactly. I'm from North Columbus.
I'm from this Columbus Phenix City area I grew up here went to school a lot has changed since back then it's like this place got a lot potentials to be something big and special but the consolidated people that runs this place is just holding everything back starting with economic growth and expansion. We had several Big time Athletes, music producers, rappers, R&B singers come from this area go somewhere else and just take off and do it big, it's no secret about what's here but everything is blocked and on hold because that's how they want it. Even with the job market they're cutting jobs limiting pay and paying low end wages for highly qualified skilled jobs, this is the Idea kind of city to live in but it's a place where dreams come to die my people it just got to get better but it starts with us making moves we can't just sit here and take it.
Black women run Columbus GA. You nurse, your lawyer, your boss, your teacher...all black females in Columbus ga
😶😶😶 idk how to feel. Nothing but negative comments.
I was stationed here for 7yrs Army dam I used to get it in strip clubs, victory drive, buena vista rd, Macon Rd, I been through every hood, but I left and moved to Atl, nice ass area and love it but still miss C town

You need to interview me. A lot of people don't know that Im one of the biggest guy in Atlanta and Im right from Columbus, Ga. I was born in Wilson, Ga. I play in east howling, Peabody, Warren William, Chase, Farley Holmes, E Canty and midside... A real street baby who went to college and did well in life.

@@dawgman5361 I live in Benning hills I love the Southside
Same here. I'm from the southside of C-Town. So glad you got out and did well!
Wow...I wept watching this. My heart has always been about uniting people of all color because we all need God and light in some place in our lives.
I grew up in TX. Was born in Houston and I saw some things I wish I didnt. God bless you all and your ministry in Jesus' Mighty Name. May He keep you safe and amplify your message everywhere you go.
Baby Girl, You Said It.. Their Ministry; To All In Our Community, In The USA "Amplify".....
yes!
I actually shedded a few tears myself 😢. I was born and raised in C-Town. South side OP. I was a freshman at Baker High when they closed it down. That traumatized us now that I look back on it. All my brothers and sister graduated from Baker. They split us up and it's like they took a part of us when they did that. I started fighting and getting in trouble in school during that time too. I Went to Carver and then graduated from Spencer. We go through so much with a smile and are the most adaptable people on the planet. I moved to Texas when I was 19 in the Army. The best decision I could of made BUT my tears came from those I left behind. Restore my hometown Lord don't forget my people in Jesus name! Amen 🙏🏾
That is awesome someone talking about columbus ga. Keep up the good work
This is how black people move forward. Get educated, stay out of jail, open a business (real estate, car rental, restaurant, insurance co, barbershop etc) create a community that can uplift itself and no longer be the struggling race. It can be done, but these gangs have to come together and be smart for themselves and their future children.
I love Columbus city and any one who is from there.
Saying that so you dont get shot 😂😂
shekhar prabhakar I go to the mall over there sometimes and never had a bad experience although I think the mall had a shooting a while back

Much love for Columbus! We used to road trip down from Chattanooga and party down in C-Bus. Victory Drive was nothing but cheap hotels, dive bars, liquor stores and pawn shops...AND A WHOLE LOT OF FUN! We would stay at some fleabag hotel...Candlelight Inn the last time...if your bargaining game is up you can get a helluva deal. We stayed 3 days for $28 lol...granted, it was the same hotel where they found a dead body under the bed that had been there for 3 weeks, but a bargain is a bargain! Anyways, much love to Columbus...always had much love for me! Respect!
Candle light inn 😂😂 thats a throwback!
Is the Elizabeth canty projects still there😂 use to live there in the late 80s early 90s that shit was lit ova there miss it there
Yeah it’s still there

bravo i loved this
Way to represent for Ga...shout out from Lagrange
This video is 6 years old now but ya'll we need more stand up men like these in the video (start at 6:33) to unite these communities that have become killing zones. The gang population has exploded and the white mayor and the cops just aren't educated in the streets enough to understand where the people are coming from. The men in this video are the ones that can be mentors and positive influences!!! It takes hood to understand hood. If you haven't lived it and survived the struggles you don't deserve the right to help the problem! The churches aren't doing much around here either. Black men UNITE and FIGHT FOR PEACE in our city! STEP UP IN THE FLAMES OF THIS GANG CORRUPTION AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Change lives, call for a truse, heal the hurt, be the bandage for the broken. Take your own stories to the streets and be the light in the darkness. BE BOLD AND FEARLESS! ONLY YOU GUYS ARE THE ANSWER TO OUR CITY'S GANG PROBLEM because YOU UNDERSTAND!!! Local Rappers need to write about it and use their talents in a positive manner to reshape the youth. Come on Columbus....WE ARE FU--ING BETTER THAN THIS S#!+
THANK YOU MEN THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO AND STEP UP CAUSE BROTHERS WE NEED YOU!!!!! (I am a 53 year old white woman from the north side and ya know what? I GET IT, I CARE, I UNDERSTAND AND I HURT FOR YOU ALL)❤❤❤❤❤❤🙌🙌🙌
Look at how the Columbus niggaz talk with passion, knowledge, & realness!!!! The other Ga city niggaz sound kinda down. Shout 2 c-town!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯

The People of Columbus worked together and we now have No Homeless Veterans.
We are working to eliminate all homelessness.
Organizations like the Valley Rescue Mission provide shelter for homeless men. They have Drug rehab programs. And also a food bank.
Other Churches and organizations provide similar services.
Businesses like East Coast Body Shop owned by a retired Marine take young men under their wing and teach them a good trade working Auto Body.
I know of other businesses that provide entry level jobs for convicts.

ZUKAZZKA ZUKEFU I’m rolling reading this... 😂😂😂
Y'all are speaking nothing but the truth!! I'm from Columbus Ga, Southside (Betejman Dr.). I went to Martin Luther King Jr Elementary, when it was "Winterfield Elementary". I went to the girls club behind the school then went to East Columbus Boys & Girls club because my parents worked over there on Morris Rd. I lived on Betejman until I was like 11 or 12, that's about 23 years ago. But my momma ended up using my aunt's address so we could go to a different school when I was heading to the 3rd grade, Winterfield started declining that's why she had me and my siblings go to another school. Not many families could/can do that and really families shouldn't have to do that. All the schools should be fair and it's truly sad that they aren't.
I don't live in Columbus anymore but my family is still there and when me my husband and our 2 kids visit our family there we make it a point to drive through my own house and neighborhood. Year after year we drive through and it hurts to see how forgotten our Southside became. I look at the schools scores and reviews here and there and I wish everyday that Muscogge County would wake up and put funds where they are needed.
I've been working on gaining more knowledge on the ends and outs to hopefully one day make it back to Columbus and help be apart of bringing the Southside up. Some of my best memories is when I was living on Betejman Dr. riding bikes through the neighborhood and walking to the stores to get an icey or going to that one store on Cusseta Rd to get some seasoned fries or going to Kim's I believe it was called on Cusseta by B&J's food store to buy my momma a ring for mothers day. I would go to my neighbors house to get away from my siblings and watched Candyman. My siblings and I would go to neighbor on the other street and she would sell us some frozen pickle juice and other frozen treats or whole pickles. Playing hide-and-seek with the neighborhood kids. Memories that I treasure and wish that kids these days could experience.
Y'all keep going strong the Southside is home for a lot of us and it deserves to be seen and not forgotten! ♥️

Southside-Bloods, Westside-Crips, Eastside-GDs....but GDs got decent numbers on all sides unlike the others. i.e. Duncan Blocc and Bloomfield in West Macon known for Crips but it's alotta GDs in those hoods too.

U must ain't been here since 2000.. Houston Ave is all blue now.. Bloomfield Rd all red.. Eastside got more crips than ever now, im a originator of em. And the west still full of Mob And Crips.
